Flyers F Briere day-to-day with groin injury Philadelphia, PA (Sports Network) - Philadelphia Flyers forward Danny Briere
is considered day-to-day after suffering a groin injury in Thursday's 5-1 loss
to the Calgary Flames.
Briere is not likely to play Saturday against Nashville, but the injury is
apparently not as serious as was thought Thursday night.
Briere underwent an examination Friday morning, during which he was told
adhesions from a previous groin surgery had broken and he had some internal
bleeding -- but that those symptoms weren't uncommon.

Steve Downie was benched after making two crucial turnovers (that led to goals) in consecutive games of the Eastern Conference Finals last May, but is looking forward to a fresh start next season, according to the Philadelphia Inquirer. Downie said, "I haven't thought the turnovers at all. You don't want to keep negativity in your head."
