The Yankees and LaTroy Hawkins reached a preliminary agreement on a one-year, $3.75 million contract Sunday. Hawkins will have to pass a physical before the deal is finalized. He held a 3.42 ERA in 62 games with the Rockies in 2007.

Milton Bradley, DH, Texas Rangers

Milton Bradley and the Rangers have reached a preliminary agreement on a one-year, $5 million contract. The deal also contains performance bonuses, according to the AP. Bradley could play right field or DH for the Rangers. He might not be ready for opening day after recovering from knee surgery.

Vladimir Guerrero, RF, Los Angeles Angels

Vladimir Guerrero said he has almost fully recovered from an irritated right triceps that prevented him from playing in the field towards the end of this past season. "I am doing some exercises and the doctors have told me that I will not have problems," Guerrero told the AP. "It will not be necessary to operate either."

Brandon Inge, C, Detroit Tigers

Brandon Inge has requested a deal out of Detroit and the Tigers intend to accomodate him if possible, the AP reports. Inge no longer has a place in the lineup with Detroit acquiring Miguel Cabrera last week.
