With Miguel Tejada's arrival, Adam Everett was already without a starting job. Now it appears as though he'll be out of a job altogether. Everett hit just .232 in 220 at-bats with the 'Stros last year. He missed half the year with a broken leg.

The Royals have non-tendered Emil Brown, ending his three-year stint with the club. Brown hit .257 with six homers and 62 RBI in 2007. He became expendable after the Royals signed Jose Guillen.

The Orioles acquired Matt Albers from the Astros Wednesday in the Miguel Tejada trade. Albers, who posted a 5.86 ERA in 31 games (18 starts) this past season, could compete for a spot in Baltimore's rotation next spring.
Troy Patton, P, Baltimore OriolesWednesday 12/12, 12:11 PM CT
Troy Patton was dealt to Baltimore Wednesday in part of the Miguel Tejada trade. Patton was the prize of the deal for the O's, although he could benefit from some more time in the minors, as he posted a 4.59 ERA in eight Triple-A starts in 2007. His upside is that of a No. 3 starter.
Greg Aquino, P, Baltimore OriolesWednesday 12/12, 10:49 AM CT
The Brewers avoided arbitration by signing Greg Aquino to a one-year deal Wednesday. Aquino held a 4.50 ERA in 15 games for the Brewers in 2007.

Willis, who is among Detroit's seven arbitration-eligible players, is likely to earn a $7.5-million base salary in 2008.
