Nick Swisher, CF, Chicago White Sox

How the rest of the White Sox's roster shapes up will determine exactly what position Nick Swisher will spend most of his time at next season, but GM Kenny Williams has told the slugger he'll likely spend the bulk of his time in center field, according to the Chicago Tribune. Assuming that happens, Carlos Quentin and Jerry Owens will likely compete for time in left. Although there are other questions that still need to be answered, as well. Such as what the team plans to do with Alexei Ramirez and where Josh Fields will play if Joe Crede isn't dealt.

Michael Tejera, P, Boston Red Sox

Michael Tejera signed a minor-league deal with Boston on Friday. Tejera posted a 3.90 ERA in 27 games at at Triple-A Indianapolis last season. He'll attempt to win a bullpen job this spring, but he'll more than likely begin the year in the minors.

Jon Switzer, P, Boston Red Sox

The Red Sox signed Jon Switzer to a minor-league contract on Friday. He has been assigned to Triple-A Pawtucket, but he'll get an opportunity to win a bullpen job in the spring. He was hammered in the big leagues last year, holding an 8.05 ERA in 21 relief appearances.

Hideo Nomo, P, Kansas City Royals

The Royals signed Hideo Nomo to a minor-league contract on Friday with an invitation to spring training, according to the AP. "Hideo is a solid veteran presence who we will give an opportunity to earn a job coming out of spring training," Royals general manager Dayton Moore said. Nomo has not pitched in the big leagues since 2005, and he won't make a fantasy impact even if he does make the team.
