According to the police report, Kidd approached the woman and grabbed her crotch. When she tried to fend him off, he continued until she left the club. It is an ongoing investigation, and a statement from his publicist called it a "fabrication."

Brandon Roy has yet to play this preseason because of pain in his left heel, but was cleared to play this week and could be in the lineup on Friday against the Kings, the AP reported. Coach Nate McMillan previously said he was considering holding Roy out of the entire preseason as a precaution, but if Roy doesn’t have any pain in the next two days of practice he appears likely to give it a go on Friday.

Heat guard Penny Hardaway returned to practice on Tuesday from a quad injury and plans to play in a preseason game later this week, the Miami Herald reported. Hardaway said he participated in scrimmage drills without any discomfort. If there is no overnight swelling or stiffness, he plans to play on Friday against the Hornets.
