Kevin Garnett, F, Boston CelticsFriday 11/2, 10:21 PM CT
Kevin Garnett looked OK in his Celtics' debut on Friday night. All the fantasy monster did was hit 9-of-17 attempts from the field and all four free throw tries for 22 points, while swiping 20 boards. He also dished out five dimes, blocked three shots and snagged three steals. Paul Pierce tossed in 28 points, and Ray Allen another 17 in an easy win over the Wiz. There should be plenty more where that came from as KG begins his domination of the Eastern Conference.
Zach Randolph, F, Los Angeles ClippersFriday 11/2, 10:10 PM CT
Zach Randolph had a big performance in his debut with the Knicks on Friday. The offseason acquisition tallied 21 points, 14 rebounds, three assists, two steals and a block. He took 23 shots, compared to Eddy Curry's 16 attempts. Curry scored 18 points, though, so at least for one game against the Cavs, the two big men were able to coexist on offense.
Jason Richardson, G, Charlotte BobcatsFriday 11/2, 10:05 PM CT
Jason Richardson scored 21 points in his debut with the Bobcats on Friday. J-Rich put up a typical line: 21 points, six boards three treys and and three steals, while missing 11 of his 19 field-goal attempts and four of six free-throw attempts. So long as he can stay healthy, you can expect more of the same this year -- great production with shaky percentages.
Jermaine O'Neal, F, Toronto RaptorsFriday 11/2, 9:58 PM CT
Jermaine O'Neal made his season debut on Friday after missing the season opener with a hyperextended knee. He played just 24 minutes and scored only 10 points on 2-of-9 shooting before fouling out, though he tacked on nine boards, seven dimes and three blocks. Now if he can just stay on the court for a change and produce.
Richard Hamilton, G, Detroit PistonsFriday 11/2, 9:53 PM CT
Richard Hamilton missed his second straight game on Friday. Rip was away from the team for the birth of a son and should be back in the mix for the Pistons' next contest.
Dwyane Wade, G, Miami HeatFriday 11/2, 9:49 PM CT
Having sufficiently recovered from shoulder and knee surgeries, Dwyane Wade has been cleared to play. "His conditioning is not to the level that he needs it to be for the kind of game we need from him, but this is a big step for us," Riley said, according to the AP. "We're not going to have any kind of watch. I think when he decides to play is the day you'll know about it." Speak for yourself, Riley -- fantasy folk already have a vigil going. Wade hasn't been taking contact in practice, so that will be a key step as he gets into game shape. Riley said he'd talk to Wade Saturday, at which point we may have a more specific timeline for Wade's return.
Beno Udrih, G, Sacramento KingsFriday 11/2, 11:04 AM CT
Three days after he was waived by the Timberwolves, point guard Beno Udrih signed with the Kings on Thursday, the AP reported. Udrih will help fill the void left by the injured Mike Bibby.
Ricky Davis, G, Los Angeles ClippersFriday 11/2, 10:52 AM CT
Ricky Davis scored a team-high 23 points in his debut with the Heat on Thursday. He also chipped in three rebounds and a steal, but failed to register an assist in 44 minutes.
Tayshaun Prince, F, Detroit PistonsFriday 11/2, 10:51 AM CT
Pistons forward Tayshaun Prince scored a career-high 34 points to go with 12 rebounds, an assist and a steal in Detroit's victory over Miami on Thursday.
Arron Afflalo, G, Detroit PistonsFriday 11/2, 8:59 AM CT
Arron Afflalo didn't do much in his pro debut Thursday, even as he got the start in place of Richard Hamilton. Afflalo finished with three points, one rebound and one assist in 14 minutes.
Amare Stoudemire, F, Phoenix SunsFriday 11/2, 8:53 AM CT
Amare Stoudemire looked healthy as can be in his first game Thursday, putting up 23 points and 11 rebounds in a victory at Seattle.
Kevin Durant, G, Oklahoma City ThunderFriday 11/2, 8:43 AM CT
Kevin Durant was impressive in his second pro game Thursday, going for 27 points on 11-of-23 shooting against Phoenix. Durant had five rebounds and made a couple of threes, though the rest of his stat line was basically empty (along with six turnovers).
