According to the Elias Sports Bureau, James is the first player to record that many points, assists and rebounds in a game since Wilt Chamberlain in 1968. Chamberlain had 53 points, 32 rebounds and 14 assists in that game. The AP reported that the 39-13-14 plateau has only been reached seven times – five by Oscar Robertson.
