Josh Smith, F, Atlanta HawksSaturday 11/17, 11:59 PM CT
Josh Smith (thigh) was back in action Saturday and looked super, collecting 38 points, seven rebounds and three blocks.
Corey Brewer, G, Minnesota TimberwolvesSaturday 11/17, 11:59 PM CT
Corey Brewer was in the starting lineup Saturday but didn't do a lot with the opportunity, going scoreless in 21 minutes. He did add six rebounds and three assists, however.
Theo Ratliff, F, Philadelphia 76ersSaturday 11/17, 11:54 PM CT
Theo Ratliff missed Saturday's game with a sore knee, the AP reports. The club is still waiting on MRI results; it is not clear yet how much time Ratliff may miss. Antione Walker (10 points, seven rebounds) started in Ratliff's place against the Hornets.
Chris Paul, G, New Orleans HornetsSaturday 11/17, 11:52 PM CT
Chris Paul missed Saturday's game with a sore right ankle, the AP reports. Byron Scott said Paul would likely miss a couple more games before returning to the lineup. Backup point guards Jannero Pargo and Bobby Jackson combined for 22 points and 12 assists in Saturday's win at Minnesota.
Gilbert Arenas, G, Washington WizardsSaturday 11/17, 11:34 PM CT
Gilbert Arenas missed Saturday's game due to soreness in his surgically repaired left knee, the AP reports. He's expected to be ready to go when the Wizards play Tuesday against Philadelphia, but check back with us between now and then.
Sean Williams, F, New Jersey NetsSaturday 11/17, 11:32 PM CT
Sean Williams got his first career start Saturday and didn't disappoint, finishing with 22 points, eight rebounds and two blocks over 35 minutes. A lot of teams are wondering how they let the Nets get this steal with the 17th overall pick in the 2007 draft.
Raja Bell, G, Phoenix SunsSaturday 11/17, 9:01 AM CT
Raja Bell returned to action on Thursday, but his sprained right ankle was sore the next day. As a result, he probably won't take part in Saturday's game, according to the Arizona Republic. The Suns are so deep, they can afford to work Bell back slowly. Once he's healthy, you'll be able to count on him as a reliable source of threes.
Darko Milicic, F, Memphis GrizzliesSaturday 11/17, 8:56 AM CT
Darko Milicic was forced to exit Friday's game early in the second half with a thumb injury. X-rays were negative, and he's considered to be day-to-day, according to the Memphis Commerical Appeal. It looks like he escaped serious injury, so with any luck he won't miss any more action.
Stephen Jackson, G, Golden State WarriorsSaturday 11/17, 8:44 AM CT
Stephen Jackson is set to make his season debut on Sunday. He's served his seven-game suspension and is expected to start, so get him into your lineups.
Chauncey Billups, G, Denver NuggetsSaturday 11/17, 8:26 AM CT
Chauncey Billups missed his second straight game Friday due to his sore left knee and hip. "Better two days," Billups told the Detroit Free Press, "than two weeks." Billups said he expected trainer Arnie Kander to hold him out of Sunday's game, too, but time will tell if Billups can talk his way into the mix.
Paul Pierce, G, Boston CelticsSaturday 11/17, 8:11 AM CT
Paul Pierce strained his back during Wednesday's game and was iffy to go on Friday, before suiting up and hitting the game-winner. "I didn't even know if I was going to play tonight," Pierce said, according to the Boston Globe. "But it's getting a little better and I decided to give it a go." Despite the big shot, Pierce mustered just 12 points on the night. Hopefully, the strain will go away quickly and not become a nagging issue.
