Luol Deng, G, Chicago BullsSunday 11/18, 10:15 PM CT
Luol Deng missed Sunday's game because of lower back pain. "It's too bad he can't play tonight, obviously," coach Scott Skiles said in the AP. "He's another guy we have who has a small chance of doing something to Kobe (Bryant) with his length. But he's out, and we'll move on." Deng had to leave Saturday's game early because of the injury. It's not clear how much, if any, more time he'll miss.
Kwame Brown, F, Detroit PistonsSunday 11/18, 10:12 PM CT
Kwame Brown was helped off the court Sunday night after injuring his left leg in the first quarter. Lakers spokesman John Black said Brown sustained moderate sprains of his left ankle and knee, according to the AP. Black said X-rays were negative, adding the Lakers would probably have a better idea Monday about the severity of the injuries.
Rasho Nesterovic, C, Indiana PacersSunday 11/18, 5:00 PM CT
Rasho Nesterovic is exspected to miss one to two weeks with a sprained right ankle. Nesterovic was injured in Wednesday's loss to Utah, when he landed on the foot of Detroit's Mehmet Okur after coming down with a rebound, according to the AP.
Antonio Daniels, G, Washington WizardsSunday 11/18, 6:35 AM CT
Antonio Daniels had 10 points and 10 assists in Saturday's win over Portland. He was in the starting lineup as a replacement for the injured Gilgert Arenas (knee, day-to-day).
Stephon Marbury, G, New York KnicksSunday 11/18, 6:33 AM CT
Stephon Marbury played 16 minutes off the bench Saturday at Denver, finishing with five points and five assists. Marbury also ran up five fouls in his limited action.
Zach Randolph, F, New York KnicksSunday 11/18, 6:32 AM CT
Zach Randolph was back in action Saturday and had 16 points and 11 rebounds at Denver. Unfortunately for New York Randolph was one of the few players who showed anything on this night; the hosts rolled to a 32-point win over the Knicks.
Kenyon Martin, F, Denver NuggetsSunday 11/18, 6:31 AM CT
Kenyon Martin left Saturday's game with a strained back and did not return, the AP reports. He's been injury-plagued his entire career, so it's hard to expect a lot from Martin going forward.
Antoine Walker, F, Memphis GrizzliesSunday 11/18, 6:29 AM CT
Antoine Walker picked up a start Saturday and finished with 10 points and seven rebounds in 24 minutes. The T-Wolves aren't sure when they'll be getting Theo Ratliff back, so Walker could have some extended fantasy value to come.
Steve Francis, G, Houston RocketsSunday 11/18, 6:27 AM CT
Steve Francis saw his first action of the year Saturday against Phoenix. He finished with eight points, on 3-of-11 shooting, and two assists in 23 minutes. Francis isn't guaranteed a meaningful role when Tracy McGracy comes back.
Robert Swift, C, Oklahoma City ThunderSunday 11/18, 6:23 AM CT
Robert Swift has not played in any of the four games on the current trip, and P.J. Carlesimo suspects he will not play at Memphis on Monday, the Tacoma News-Tribune reports. Swift is battling soreness in his repaired right knee.
Darko Milicic, F, Memphis GrizzliesSunday 11/18, 5:17 AM CT
Darko Milicic missed Saturday's game after severely spraining his left thumb the night before. "It's going to be kind of a wait-and-see thing," Griz coach Marc Iavaroni told the Commercial Appeal. "It definitely hurts us inside." He'll be examined further on Monday, but it appears that he'll end up missing some more action while the injury heals.
Al Thornton, F, Los Angeles ClippersSunday 11/18, 5:08 AM CT
Al Thornton sprained an ankle during Friday's game and is expected to miss at least a couple of more contests as a result, according to the LA Times. The rookie had a fine preseason but hasn't done much since the regular season tipped off, so this shouldn't affect fantasy rosters much for now.
Corey Maggette, G, Golden State WarriorsSunday 11/18, 5:03 AM CT
Corey Maggette strained his right hamstring earlier this week, and the injury kept him from taking part in Saturday's contest. "He plays hard and takes a lot of hits," coach Mike Dunleavy told the LA Times. "For somebody to play 82 games, it's going to take a lot." On the other hand, for somebody like the usually-injured Maggette to get in 70+ games in a season is a good sign. Dunleavy said he expects Maggette to miss a couple of more games, so keep him on your bench for now ... and get used to him being dinged up.
Shaquille O'Neal, C, Phoenix SunsSunday 11/18, 4:45 AM CT
Shaquille O'Neal has been playing with stiffness in his surgically repaired knee and a bruised left thigh. The knee's bothering him enough that he has taken cortisone shots to help deal with the pain, according to the Miami Herald. Shaq said he plans to keep playing through his injuries, but he clearly looks affected by them on the court this season.
Luol Deng, G, Chicago BullsSunday 11/18, 4:35 AM CT
Luol Deng was unable to complete Saturday's game. He's dealing with back spasms that have him considered to be doubtful for Sunday's contest, according to the Chicago Sun-Times. "I don't think I'm going to play," said Deng. That he may undergo an MRI on his sore back isn't a good sign. Stay tuned for updates on his condition, but it appears unlikely that we'll see him on the hardwood Sunday.
