Tim Duncan, F, San Antonio SpursMonday 12/3, 9:23 PM CT
Spurs forward Tim Duncan had an MRI that come back negative on his injured right ankle on Monday, and the star forward looks as if he should return in the next few games. Duncan sprained the ankle and bruised his right knee during the game against the Trailblazers on Sunday.
Mehmet Okur, F, Utah JazzMonday 12/3, 10:22 AM CT
Mehmet Okur tested out his sore back by taking part in some practice on Sunday. "I feel better the last couple days," he told the Deseret News. He'll test things out in pre-game warmups on Monday before a decision is made regarding whether he'll play.
Carlos Boozer, F, Utah JazzMonday 12/3, 10:19 AM CT
Carlos Boozer said Sunday that his sprained ankle was feeling better. However, he did not take part in that day's practice, according to the Deseret News. Boozer said he thought he would be able to play Monday, but realistically, he'll be a game-time call.
Nick Collison, F, Oklahoma City ThunderMonday 12/3, 10:13 AM CT
Nick Collison should get back in action for Wednesday's game, according to the Seattle Times. He'll have to receive medical clearance Tuesday and wear a mask to protect his broken nose, but it looks like he should be good to go.
Brandon Roy, G, Portland TrailblazersMonday 12/3, 10:08 AM CT
With Brandon Roy and his Trail Blazers struggling, it sounds like the combo-guard may take on a larger role handling the rock. "I think we are going to change up a little bit going from here," Roy said, according to the Oregonian. "I'm not going to say that I'm going to be the point guard. But I think I'll bring the ball up a little more and kind of get back in the role I was in last year, where I have the ball a little more and try to control the tempo a little more." Roy can break down defenders far better than Steve Blake or Jarrett Jack, their other point guard options, so having Roy run the one more should help create more offense for himself and his teammates. He's been in a horrid shooting slump (23.5 FG% over his past four games), so any change might do him some good.
Kwame Brown, F, Detroit PistonsMonday 12/3, 10:00 AM CT
Kwame Brown is not ready to get back into game action. Lakers coach Phil Jackson said the center won't return from his sprained left ankle for games Tuesday or Wednesday, according to the LA Times. If Brown is able to practice soon, it's possible that he could play within the next week or two. Keep him benched for now.
T.J. Ford, G, Indiana PacersMonday 12/3, 9:46 AM CT
It's not clear yet if T.J. Ford will be able to play on Monday. "It depends how he feels," coach Sam Mitchell told the Toronto Sun. Ford has played only sparingly in two games since returning from a neck stinger, so expect him to be limited again if he suits up Monday.
Andrea Bargnani, F, Toronto RaptorsMonday 12/3, 9:42 AM CT
Andrea Bargnani played through a bruised right knee Saturday, but he hyperextended his left knee in the process. He'll be examined further Monday, but he's not expected to be available for the evening matchup with the Bobs, according to the Toronto Sun. We'll have more information on Bargnani as it comes in, but you'll probably want to bench him for tonight's run.
Chris Bosh, F, Toronto RaptorsMonday 12/3, 9:39 AM CT
Chris Bosh is expected to miss his third straight game on Monday, according to the Toronto Sun. Bosh continues to battle a strained grion, and it's not clear when we might see him back on the hardwood again.
Troy Murphy, F, Indiana PacersMonday 12/3, 9:26 AM CT
Troy Murphy has been removed from the Pacers' starting lineup in favor of Jeff Foster. "The best five-man lineup we have when you evaluate every lineup we have is the one with Jeff Foster and Jermaine (O'Neal)," coach Jim O'Brien said, according to the Indianapolis Star. "They are better than the other lineup." Murphy can tease fantasy owners at times with his rebounding and three-point shooting, but his poor FG% and lack of hustle stats have forced him to both the Pacers' pine and fantasy benches.
Rodney Stuckey, G, Detroit PistonsMonday 12/3, 9:18 AM CT
Rodney Stuckey is getting close to making his NBA debut. In fact, he could be cleared to play by the end of the week, according to the Detroit Free Press. The rookie is recovering from a broken hand and will only have limited fantasy value unless Chauncey Billups or Rip Hamilton are felled by injuries.
