Baron Davis, G, Los Angeles ClippersSunday 12/16, 4:41 PM CT
Baron Davis scored just two points during 23 minutes of action Sunday. With his injury history you may have feared the worst, but the Pistons blew the game open early, so coach Don Nelson pulled most of his starters early to rest up for Monday.
Stephon Marbury, G, New York KnicksSunday 12/16, 4:37 PM CT
Stephon Marbury rejoined the Knicks to practice on Sunday. He's planning to return to game action on Monday, according to the AP. Marbury played two games after the death of his father but was allowed more time away from the team to grieve.
Ray Allen, G, Boston CelticsSunday 12/16, 4:33 PM CT
As expected, Ray Allen skipped Sunday's game to rest his sore right ankle. However, he should be back in the mix for Wednesday's game, according to the AP. "He'll practice on Tuesday and play on Wednesday, I'm pretty sure of that," Celtics coach Doc Rivers said. "You never know, but I'm pretty much sure." You'll want to check to see if he's able to get through Tuesday's session before sticking him in your lineup for Wednesday.
Mehmet Okur, F, Utah JazzSunday 12/16, 7:45 AM CT
An MRI revealed that Mehmet Okur has a strained trapezius muscle, as well as deep bruising in his shoulder. "He's going to miss a little time," coach Jerry Sloan, according to the Deseret News. "I don't know how long that will be." Keep him on your bench until we hear something more positive about his status.
Kurt Thomas, F, San Antonio SpursSunday 12/16, 7:33 AM CT
Kurt Thomas sprained his right ankle during Friday's game. He tested it out Saturday but was unable to suit up for that evening's contest, according to the Seattle Times. He'll have a few days to rest up before the Sonics' next game, so he may be ready by then.
Kobe Bryant, G, Los Angeles LakersSunday 12/16, 7:26 AM CT
Kobe Bryant will be a game-time decision when the Lakers face the Clippers Sunday, according to the LA Times. He sustained a slight tear in his left quadriceps during Friday's game, though he completed the contest. It doesn't sound like it's anything serious, but the Lakers could play it cautiously and rest their superstar Sunday.
Tim Thomas, F, New York KnicksSunday 12/16, 7:22 AM CT
Tim Thomas will be a game-time decision on Sunday, according to the LA Times. He exited Friday's game with a sprained ankle, so he'll have to test it out in pre-game warm-ups.
Sam Cassell, G, Boston CelticsSunday 12/16, 7:19 AM CT
Sam Cassell isn't close to returing from his strained left calf. "He is still healing," said athletic trainer Jasen Powell, according to the LA Times. "At the earliest, he would be available against Dallas [Friday] or San Antonio [Saturday]." Keep the veteran on your bench for the foreseeable future.
Rashard Lewis, F, Orlando MagicSunday 12/16, 6:53 AM CT
Rashard Lewis missed his first game of the season on Saturday due to his ailing neck. "I think his fear is that it is never going to go away. He just says it gets worse every time he plays," Magic Coach Stan Van Gundy said, according to the Orlando Sentinel. "He doesn't want to play with it all year, and it keep hurting. So he wants to take a couple of days off and try to get it right." He's expected to travel with the Magic Sunday for their two-game road trip, but it's not clear yet if he will be able to play.
Smush Parker, G, Denver NuggetsSunday 12/16, 6:46 AM CT
It looks like the Heat are done with Smush Parker. He's essentially been barred from the team following his run-in with a valet attendant last month, according to the Miami Herald. Signed a free agent during the offseason, Parker became eligible to be traded on Saturday, which is what the Heat hope to do, rather than release him or buy out his contract. Regardless, he shouldn't be anywhere near anyone's fantasy roster right now.
Daniel Gibson, G, Cleveland CavaliersSunday 12/16, 6:40 AM CT
Daniel Gibson missed Saturday's game. During Friday's contest, Jason Kidd ran his shoulder into Gibson's jaw, right where he recently had a wisdom tooth pulled, according to the Cleveland Plain Dealer. Boobie's been a nice source of threes this season, so hopefully he'll be back in action for the Cavs' next run.
Ray Allen, G, Boston CelticsSunday 12/16, 6:26 AM CT
Ray Allen didn't travel with the Celtics to Toronto on Saturday. He'll miss his second straght game due to a sore right ankle, according to the Boston Globe. It's not clear when the veteran will be ready to hit the hardwood again.
