Brad Miller, C, Sacramento KingsSaturday 1/5, 11:49 PM CT
Brad Miller rolled up 22 points, 13 rebounds and six assists in Saturday's loss to the Bulls. Miller can actually be a pretty solid fantasy contributor when he's healthy.
Brandon Roy, G, Portland TrailblazersSaturday 1/5, 11:48 PM CT
Brandon Roy was able to start Saturday despite the tailbone injury he suffered two days prior.
David West, F, New Orleans HornetsSaturday 1/5, 8:58 PM CT
David West didn't play Saturday because of the hip injury he suffered the previous night. He'll get some time to rest up; New Orleans return to action Wednesday.
Luol Deng, G, Chicago BullsSaturday 1/5, 8:47 PM CT
Luol Deng (Achilles tendon) was out of Saturday's lineup, as expected. He's listed as day-to-day.
Andrei Kirilenko, F, Utah JazzSaturday 1/5, 8:13 AM CT
Andrei Kirilenko sustained a back injury during Thursday's game. The injury will keep him from playing on Saturday, according to the Deseret News. The Jazz haven't announced a timetable for AK-47's return, so consider him to be day-to-day at this point.
David West, F, New Orleans HornetsSaturday 1/5, 8:10 AM CT
David West was unable to complete Friday's game after sustaining a bruised hip in the fourth quarter, according to the New Orleans Times-Picayune. It's not clear at this point if he will be able to take part in Saturday's game against the Suns.
Chris Wilcox, F, Oklahoma City ThunderSaturday 1/5, 8:03 AM CT
Chris Wilcox dislocated his right pinkie during Thursday's game. X-rays on the digit didn't reveal any serious damage, though there was considerable swelling, according to the Seattle Times. He won't play again until the swelling subsides, so don't look for him to be on the hardwood for Sunday's run versus the Wiz.
Vladimir Radmanovic, F, Los Angeles LakersSaturday 1/5, 7:54 AM CT
Vladimir Radmanovic sat out of Friday's game due to a sprained right ankle. "The moment that they cut the tape off him, his foot ballooned up in 15 seconds," coach Phil Jackson told the LA Times. The injury probably will cost Radmanovic another few games.
Dwyane Wade, G, Miami HeatSaturday 1/5, 7:45 AM CT
Dwyane Wade skipped Friday's game due to his sore shoulder and a jammed finger. It's not clear when he will return, but clearly Wade is far from 100 percent healthy.
Gilbert Arenas, G, Washington WizardsSaturday 1/5, 7:25 AM CT
Gilbert Arenas wrote in his NBA.com blog that he's been cleared to get on the court for some light shooting for the first time since undergoing knee surgery. "They say I'll be at 100 percent around February, mid-February, somewhere around the all-star break," he added. "But I'm going to be in extra wait mode, just to be sure." He hasn't even been cleared to run or jump yet, and any setback in his recovery could sideline him the rest of the season. However, he said he's aiming to return around March 15 if all goes well.
Jamaal Tinsley, G, Indiana PacersSaturday 1/5, 7:21 AM CT
Jamaal Tinsley got in a couple of on-court workouts on Friday. Tinsley said he plans to play during the Pacers' five-game road trip, but he's not sure if he'll be ready for the first game on Sunday, according to the Indianapolis Star. Tinsley has missed the past seven games with a sore left hamstring, but it appears he should be back in the mix soon.
Jason Williams, G, Los Angeles ClippersSaturday 1/5, 7:07 AM CT
Jason Williams has missed the past five games due to a sore right knee. "I don't know when I'll be ready," Williams told the Miami Herald. "It's just going to be whenever the swelling is gone and the pain is gone." J-Will indicated Friday that he might be able to play next week, but we'll have to wait and see about that. Injuries are simply part of his package from here on out.
Mike Bibby, G, Atlanta HawksSaturday 1/5, 7:01 AM CT
Mike Bibby is aiming to return to action within 10 days. With his return from thumb surgery on the horizon, so too are trade rumors, according to the Cleveland Plain Dealer. The Kings would like to move on without Bibby, and the Cavs desperately need a ballhandler who can shoot. That's why there were rumors he might be dealt to Cleveland during the offseason, and you can expect more of that talk once Bibby takes the floor again.
Jamal Crawford, G, Golden State WarriorsSaturday 1/5, 6:55 AM CT
Jamal Crawford sustained a new injury during Friday's game. Crawford sprained his left shoulder in the third quarter, according to the New York Daily News. He remained in the game but missed all five of the shots he attempted after sustaining the injury. Crawford also recently missed a game with a hand injury. Aside from shooting just 40 percent from the floor, Crawford is a solid fantasy contributor - so long as he can stay healthy. He hopes to suit up for Saturday's run against the Rockets.
Zach Randolph, F, Los Angeles ClippersSaturday 1/5, 6:48 AM CT
Zach Randolph was suspended by the NBA for Friday night's game for throwing a headband that hit a referee during the previous game. Randolph was ejected from the contest after scoring just five points, so he essentially cost his fantasy owners two games.
Salim Stoudamire, G, Saturday 1/5, 6:44 AM CT
Salim Stoudamire still is not traveling with the Hawks and remains sidelined indefinitely with a sprained right ankle. "He can't practice on it, so we didn't want him traveling on it," coach Mike Woodson said, according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. "He can run straight ahead on it, but he said he can't cut. And until he can move laterally, he can't really do what he needs to do to get back." He was a non-factor (4.4 ppg) in the 14 games he played before the injury, so we aren't missing much in fantasy terms.
Josh Smith, F, Atlanta HawksSaturday 1/5, 6:39 AM CT
It turns out there's a reason why Josh Smith hasn't been attacking the rim with his usual veracity in recent weeks. It turns out he's been dealing with a sore neck since colliding with Dwyane Wade on Dec. 19, according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. J-Smoove has continued to play and perform at a pretty high level, but he may not be at peak performance until the soreness subsides.
Luol Deng, G, Chicago BullsSaturday 1/5, 6:34 AM CT
Luol Deng is not expected to take part in Saturday's game. He's still dealing with a sore Achilles tendon that forced him out of Thursday's contest, according to the Chicago Tribune. He underwent an MRI late Friday, and a timetable for how long he'll be sidelined should be announced on Saturday. Look for Andres Nocioni to start in place of Deng and try to work his way out of an ugly shooting slump.
