Kosta Perovic, C, Golden State WarriorsSunday 1/6, 8:03 PM CT
The Warriors recalled Kosta Perovic from their minor league affiliate in Bakersfield Sunday. He takes the roster spot of DJ Mbenga.
D.J. Mbenga, C, Los Angeles LakersSunday 1/6, 7:59 PM CT
The Warriors waived D.J. Mbenga on Sunday and recalled Kosta Perovic from its minor league affiliate in Bakersfield. Mbenga averaged just 1.2 points and 1.9 rebounds in 16 games for Golden State and was cut before Thursday, when his contract would have become a guaranteed deal for the rest of the season, according to the AP.
Brandon Roy, G, Portland TrailblazersSunday 1/6, 8:00 AM CT
Although Brandon Roy was able to lace up and start Saturday, despite a bruised tailbone, he didn't make it through the first period. Roy ended up with just four points and two dimes. Luckily, the Trail Blazers don't play again until Wednesday, so the added rest may allow him to be ready by then.
Tracy McGrady, G, Houston RocketsSunday 1/6, 7:53 AM CT
Tracy McGrady finally has a target date for when he might return to game action: Friday against the T-Wolves. He'll have his ailing knee evaluated with a workout on Thursday before a decision is made, according to the Houston Chronicle. He has a bone bruise, a strained tendon and tendinitis in the joint. Considering his long history if injury problems, he could easily face a setback and not play Friday. Stay tuned.
Tim Thomas, F, Los Angeles ClippersSunday 1/6, 7:46 AM CT
Tim Thomas should return from his sore knee on Sunday. "It feels pretty good," he told the LA Times. "I'm still not where I really want to be, but I'm good enough to play and that's a good thing. It's not swelling up and it's not sore the next day, so that's a good sign." Thomas has missed the past four games due to the ailment, but it looks like he's safe to put in your lineups Sunday -- at least if you aren't bothered by his embarrassing 37.8 FG%
Jerry Stackhouse, G, Dallas MavericksSunday 1/6, 7:40 AM CT
Jerry Stackhouse hyperextended his thumb and was unable to complete Friday's game. He'll be a game-time call on Sunday, according to the Fort Worth Star-Telegram. Stackhouse is all but useless in fantasy terms this season, so we aren't missing much.
Erick Dampier, C, Dallas MavericksSunday 1/6, 7:38 AM CT
Erick Dampier didn't travel with the Mavs for Sunday's game against the T-Wolves, according to the Fort Worth Star-Telegram. He's dealing with a sore left knee and may miss some more action.
Michael Redd, G, Milwaukee BucksSunday 1/6, 7:12 AM CT
Michael Redd is expected to miss his second straight game Sunday due to his deep thigh bruise. "I'm just taking it easy and progressively trying to get better," Redd said, according to the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel. "It feels better. It's going to be there." Redd added that he expects to return to the mix no later than a week from now.
Jason Williams, G, Miami HeatSunday 1/6, 6:55 AM CT
Jason Williams was able to test out his sore right knee by taking part in a light practice on Saturday. He said he intends to play on Sunday, according to the Miami Herald. J-Will has missed the past five games due to a strained tendon in the joint, an injury that likely will continue to nag him for a while.
Shaquille O'Neal, C, Phoenix SunsSunday 1/6, 6:52 AM CT
Shaquille O'Neal was able to test out his sore hip by practicing on Saturday, according to the Miami Herald. The Big Aristotle is battling bursitis in his hip and will test out the joint in pre-game warm-ups before determining whether he'll play on Sunday.
Dwyane Wade, G, Miami HeatSunday 1/6, 6:49 AM CT
After missing Friday's game due to various maladies, Dwyane Wade was able to practice on Saturday. However, he'll be a game-time call on Sunday, according to the Miami Herald. All Wade is dealing with is sore shoulders, a jammed finger on his right hand and a sore surgically repaired knee. That's a lot even for a tough guy like Wade to handle, so we'll have to wait to see what he does on Sunday.
Donyell Marshall, F, Sunday 1/6, 6:44 AM CT
As expected, Donyell Marshall recently returned to practice, as he works his way back from a badly sprained right wrist. However, the Cavs haven't set a timetable for his return to game action, according to the Cleveland Plain Dealer. Consider Marshall to be week-to-week at this point, but he won't offer fantasy owners much upon his return, anyway.
Antoine Wright, G, Dallas MavericksSunday 1/6, 6:40 AM CT
Antoine Wright missed his seventh consecutive game Saturday due to a sprained ankle. It's not clear when we'll see him back in action.
Luol Deng, F, Chicago BullsSunday 1/6, 6:34 AM CT
As expected, Luol Deng sat out of Friday's game to rest his sore Achilles tendon. An MRI taken Friday confirmed that he has tendinitis but no tears, according to the Chicago Tribune. There's a decent chance he'll skip Tuesday's game, too, which would give him a full week off before the Bulls' next game on Friday.
Raja Bell, G, Phoenix SunsSunday 1/6, 12:34 AM CT
Raja Bell left Saturday's game in the first period due to flu-like symptoms. Consider him day-to-day.
