Andrew Bynum, C, Los Angeles LakersMonday 1/14, 8:19 PM CT
Los Angeles Lakers center Andrew Bynum suffered a dislocated kneecap and a bone bruise on Sunday night against the Grizzlies. According to team doctors Bynum will miss at least eight weeks recovering from said injuries.
Mike Bibby, G, Atlanta HawksMonday 1/14, 8:10 AM CT
All signs point to Mike Bibby returning to action this week. "We've got Mike (Bibby) coming back, I believe, on Wednesday," coach Reggie Theus told the Sacramento Bee. Bibby has been out all season while recovering from surgery that repaired a torn ligament in his left thumb, but it's just about time to get him into your starting lineups.
Peja Stojakovic, G, New Orleans HornetsMonday 1/14, 8:04 AM CT
Peja Stojakovic didn't play at all during the fourth quarter of Sunday's game. Coach Byron Scott said Stojakovic was complaining of back stiffness, according to the New Orleans Times-Picayune. Back surgery cost him most of last season and has limited at times this season, so his condition is worth keeping an eye on.
Chris Wilcox, F, Oklahoma City ThunderMonday 1/14, 7:58 AM CT
Chris Wilcox took part in practice on Sunday. Afterward, coach P.J. Carlesimo said Wilcox should be available for Monday's game, according to the Seattle Times. Wilcox has missed four games due to a dislocated right pinkie finger. While he appears ready to play, he could be hampered by the injury, as he also has a torn ligament in the digit.
Steve Blake, G, Portland TrailblazersMonday 1/14, 7:52 AM CT
Steve Blake bruised his left calf during Wednesday's game. He tested it out Sunday, but the Trail Blazers erred on the side of caution and held him out of that day's game, according to the Oregonian. He'll be a game-time call for Monday's contest.
Andrew Bynum, C, Los Angeles LakersMonday 1/14, 7:43 AM CT
Andrew Bynum was forced out of Sunday's game after spraining his left knee. More should be known about the severity of the injury after he undergoes an MRI on Monday, according to the LA Times. Bynum was having a breakout season and was averaging 16.4 ppg, 10.4 rpg and 2.4 bpg over the last month, so this could be devastating to the Lakers and fantasy owners if the MRI results show something serious. Regardless, he's probably going to miss some action, so look for Kwame Brown to start.
Al Jefferson, F, Minnesota TimberwolvesMonday 1/14, 7:17 AM CT
Al Jefferson barely practiced on Sunday due to a bruised knee, according to the Minneapolis Star-Tribune. His status for Monday's game won't be determined until he's re-examined earlier in the day.
Nene Hilario, F, Denver NuggetsMonday 1/14, 7:08 AM CT
Nene Hilario's mother reportedly told a radio station in Brazil that her son is slated to undergo surgery on Tuesday. An NBA source acknowledged that surgery might be an option but that it won't be performed on Tuesday, according to the Denver Post. Nene recently took an indefinite leave from the Nugs to deal with a personal medical issue, but no other details have been made available. With surgery possibly looming, it's safe to assume he won't play for a while.
Raymond Felton, G, Charlotte BobcatsMonday 1/14, 6:52 AM CT
Raymond Felton missed Saturday's game due to a sprained and bruised ankle. He received treatment Sunday, and the Bobcats are optimistic that he'll be able to suit up for Monday's game, according to the Charlotte Observer. Felton's dinged up on a regular basis, but he usually toughs it out.
Andre Iguodala, G, Philadelphia 76ersMonday 1/14, 6:43 AM CT
Andre Iguodala missed practice Sunday due to a hip pointer sustained on Friday. "He did light work and didn't do a lot of running, but we expect him to play," coach Maurice Cheeks told the Philadelphia Inquirer. Iggy's a great source of steals and an underrated fantasy option. It looks like he should be all right for this evening's run.
Shaquille O'Neal, C, Phoenix SunsMonday 1/14, 6:34 AM CT
After receiving extended treatment on his ailing hip, Shaquille O'Neal returned to practice on Sunday. "He's sore and the doctors recommended there should be -- for normal people a couple of weeks after the treatment -- but he's going to need a couple of days to let the soreness die down," coach Pat Riley said, according to the Miami Herald. "We'll find out. I'm confident that this treatment will help him." Shaq's battling bursitis and inflammation in his left hip that's bad enough a close associate of his recommended he sit out the rest of the season. Shaq's probably going to do everything he can to stay on the court, but it may be an uphill climb. Riley said he expects Shaq to start Wednesday.
Stephon Marbury, G, New York KnicksMonday 1/14, 6:26 AM CT
Stephon Marbury missed Sunday's game due to a sore left ankle. Coach Isiah Thomas said Marbury sustained the injury on Friday, according to the New York Daily News. Of course, he's also not happy about his role in the offense or his relationship with Zeke, so time will tell when or for how long he'll be back in the lineup.
Luol Deng, G, Chicago BullsMonday 1/14, 6:19 AM CT
Luol Deng returned to action on Sunday. He came off the bench, but he played nearly 30 minutes and racked up 28 points on 10-of-15 shooting from the field. It looks like he's recovered well from his sore Achilles tendon and probably will start the next game.
Joakim Noah, F, Chicago BullsMonday 1/14, 6:15 AM CT
It turns out that Joakim Noah is going to miss another game for verbally abusing assistant coach Ron Adams during Friday's shootaround. In an unusual move, his teammates unanimously voted to extend the one-game punishment set by the Bulls to two games, according to the Chicago Tribune. Ben Wallace and Adrian Griffin called for the vote. "I understand frustrations with coaches," Wallace said. "But you can never take it to that level where you overstep the coach-player relationship and talk to a grown man like that. I might not like you as a coach, but I have to respect you as a man. We have to be responsible for each other. We're together all the time. We feel we're becoming a close-knit group and a family-type atmosphere. It's up to us to hold everybody accountable for his own actions." Wow. Noah snapped because Adams was riding him about forgetting plays and blowing assignments during the practice; he's also been late often. Hopefully Noah will learn from this and all parties will move on.
