Pau Gasol, F, Los Angeles LakersWednesday 2/6, 8:47 PM CT
Pau Gasol made only five of 14 shots for 12 points on Wednesday night in his second game with the Lakers. This wasn't as impressive as his Tuesday-night debut (24 points, 12 rebounds and four assists), but the talented Gasol will have many monster games for the Lakers.
Sam Cassell, G, Boston CelticsWednesday 2/6, 8:38 PM CT
Clippers guard Sam Cassell was ejected in the second quarter of Wednesday's game against the Celtics for a flagrant-two foul, according to the AP. The veteran guard scored 10 points in 16 minutes before being sent to the locker room with 2:54 remaining in the first half.
Caron Butler, F, Washington WizardsWednesday 2/6, 5:57 PM CT
Wizards forward Caron Butler didn't play Wednesday's game against the Spurs with a strained hip flexor, according to the AP. Butler, who left Tuesday's game in Philadelphia after his hip began hurting, was playing just his second game after missing three with the same injury. "Caron is going to be out. He's going to be day-to-day after that," Wizards coach Eddie Jordan said. "There's no real damage there. It's just sore."
Marcus Banks, G, Miami HeatWednesday 2/6, 5:22 PM CT
The Suns have traded Marcus Banks to the Heat along with Shawn Marion to acquire the service of future Hall of Famer Shaquille O'Neal. Banks is a journeyman who doesn't hold much fantasy value, and nothing about this trade will change that.
Shawn Marion, F, Miami HeatWednesday 2/6, 5:18 PM CT
Shawn Marion is headed to Miami as part of the three-player trade that sends Shaquille O'Neal to Phoenix, and his fantasy value should go up now that he'll be heading to a team where he'll be a primary scoring option. The athletic Marion is averaging 15.8 PPG and 9.9 RPG this season. His scoring average is his lowest since his rookie season in 2000. Marion makes $16.4 million this year and could opt out of the $17 million final year of his contract after this season.
Shaquille O'Neal, C, Phoenix SunsWednesday 2/6, 5:15 PM CT
The Suns have officially landed Shaquille O'Neal in a three-player trade with the Heat that sends Shawn Marion and Marcus Banks to Miami, according to the AP. The trade became official when O'Neal, who has missed considerable time recently with a hip injury, passed a physical exam Wednesday. O'Neal's fantasy value goes up as a result of this trade, but you can't rely on him to be durable down the stretch.
Mike Conley, G, Memphis GrizzliesWednesday 2/6, 10:45 AM CT
Mike Conley missed his fourth straight game Tuesday because of a bruised chest and ribs. The rookie returned to full-contact work Monday, but Coach Marc Iavaroni said he wanted Conley to participate in one or two more practices before returning to game action, according to the Commercial Appeal.
Jose Barea, G, Dallas MavericksWednesday 2/6, 10:39 AM CT
Coach Avery Johnson won't commit to keeping Jose Barea as the starting point guard until Devin Harris come back, but he clearly would prefer to keep Jason Terry coming off the bench. "Offensively you trust him 100 percent with the ball," Dirk Nowitzki said of Barea in the Star-Telegram. "Sometimes defensively he's a liability; he's small, but what's great about him is he's always battling... and that's all you can ask."
Brad Miller, C, Sacramento KingsWednesday 2/6, 10:34 AM CT
Brad Miller missed a second straight practice Tuesday due to a lacerated finger. He said he will determine this morning if he can play in tonight's game, according to the Sacramento Bee. Miller injured the finger at home Sunday when he was washing dishes.

Robert Swift, C, Wednesday 2/6, 10:16 AM CT
Robert Swift returned to action Tuesday for the first time since suffering complications with his surgically repaired right knee in mid November. He played just six fourth-quarter minutes and had four points, but the important thing is that his knee held up. "It [the knee] felt pretty good," Swift told the Seattle Times. "I've been doing a lot of conditioning, which of course is nothing like playing and getting the conditioning while actually playing, but it felt good and there were no problems with the knee. I was not as bad as I thought I would be."
Marcus Camby, C, Los Angeles ClippersWednesday 2/6, 10:05 AM CT
Marcus Camby has missed the past two games with a left knee contusion but is "shooting to play" tonight. "I want to play — I don't want to sit out games," he told the Denver Post. "I know how important I am to this team."
Shaquille O'Neal, C, Phoenix SunsWednesday 2/6, 9:54 AM CT
The Heat have agreed to trade Shaquille ONeal to Phoenix for Shawn Marion and Marcus Banks, pending O'Neal passing a physical exam in Phoenix Wednesday. The Diesel hasn't played in over two weeks because of a nagging hip injury, and his production has obviously waned this year.
Tyrus Thomas, F, Chicago BullsWednesday 2/6, 9:43 AM CT
Tyrus Thomas missed Monday's game because of a sprained left foot, but he returned to practice Tuesday and is likely to play tonight. "[Thomas] was a little gimpy in the beginning, but then as he warmed up, he was better," coach Jim Boylan said in the Chicago Sun-Times. "He finished practice, and the big guys were going pretty good down at one end, going one-on-one against each other. He was jumping, active and playing hard. They're going to take him for an MRI to rule out any problems that they can't detect through normal examinations. He looked fine to me."
Kirk Hinrich, G, Chicago BullsWednesday 2/6, 9:40 AM CT
Kirk Hinrich got some good news Tuesday regarding his rib injury. "All the tests that they performed [Monday] night were negative," coach Jim Boylan said in the Chicago Sun-Times. "There was no other damage other than getting hit on the bottom [left] side of his rib cage. Right now, it's a day-to-day thing. We'll see how comfortable he is [today], whether he's sore or feeling pain, and that will be the deciding factor of if he can go." Hinrich will be a game-time decision tonight.
Nate Robinson, G, New York KnicksWednesday 2/6, 9:34 AM CT
Coach Isiah Thomas is hoping Nate Robinson will be able to play, at least in limited fashion, tonight, according to the NY Post. Robinson missed Monday's game after taking a knee to the thigh last Saturday.
Quentin Richardson, F, New York KnicksWednesday 2/6, 9:30 AM CT

Paul Pierce, F, Boston CelticsWednesday 2/6, 9:24 AM CT
Paul Pierce played through a stomach bug last night, scoring 19 points in 35 minutes of action. Towards the end of the first quarter, he had a towel on his head and a trash can in front of him, according to the Boston Globe. The Celts have another game tonight against the Clippers. "I didn't know what we were going to get out of him," coach Doc Rivers said of Pierce. "Obviously, now we're concerned about [tonight]. That's going to be a tough one for him as well."
