Yao Ming led the Rockets, who never trailed, to a thrashing of the Hawks 108-89 on Saturday night. Ming scored 28 points and added nine rebounds in their 10th victory in 11 games. With or without Tracey McGrady in the lineup, Ming is an absolute monster in the middle. Jamal Crawford, G, New York KnicksSaturday 2/9, 10:14 PM CT
Jamal Crawford led the Knicks to a 99-98 victory over the Bucks by scoring a team-high 30 points. For good measure he also tossed in four rebounds and five assists. Crawford, scoring more than 20 points per game, has hit at least two shots from downtown in each of the last five games.
Charlie Villanueva, F, Milwaukee BucksSaturday 2/9, 10:11 PM CT
Charlie Villanueva was solid on Saturday night scoring 21 points and adding 14 rebounds on 10-for-22 shooting. Despite averaging fewer than 10 points per game this season, Charlie has scored in double digits in the last five games with an average of 18 per game over the last three.

Antonio Daniels missed practice on Saturday and may be forced to site out Sunday's game because of an injured ankle that is the result of his previous knee injury. Daniels has dressed for 80 games in each of the past two seasons showing his toughness, and the team certainly needs the ball handling and five assists he brings to the table each game. Washington Post

Caron Butler did not practice on Saturday because of his strained hip flexor casting doubt on his ability to play against the Suns on Sunday. "I want to be out there healthy. Chicago Sun Times

When asked if the report was accurate, Wallace said, "Not at all." Quentin Richardson, Malik Rose and Fred Jones reportedly would head to Chicago in the deal. Big Ben's not been playing anywhere near the level required of the monster deal he inked before last season, and the Bulls' season is in the tank, so it wouldn't be surprising to see Wallace moved.
Stephon Marbury, G, New York KnicksSaturday 2/9, 1:20 PM CT
The surgery that Stephon Marbury underwent late last month turned out to be more complicated that initially believed, according to the New York Post. As a result, he's expected to miss the remainder of the season. He had planned to try to return later this season, but we may now have seen the last of Marbury in Knicks uniform.
Andrew Bynum, C, Los Angeles LakersSaturday 2/9, 11:43 AM CT
Andrew Bynum remains on schedule to return from his dislocated kneecap during the week of March 9, according to the LA Times. As far as the swelling goes, it looks more normal. He's definitely not running or jogging, but he's continuing treatment." It may take him a number of games to get his legs under him, and the addition of Pau Gasol could limit Bynum's over all production down the stretch. But so far, at least he's recovering well.
Shaquille O'Neal, C, Phoenix SunsSaturday 2/9, 11:34 AM CT
The Suns physician who gave Shaquille O'Neal his pre-trade physical, said the big guy is in good shape, according to the Arizona Republic. "There's no reason he can't get back to playing a high level from a structural standpoint," Thomas Carter said. We won't find out exactly what Shaq can do on the court until at least Thursday against the Mavs, the Suns' last game before the All-Star break. It's entirely possible that he won't make his debut until after the hiatus.

"He's still weak. But I think he's feeling better than he felt (Thursday), so I think he's going to be OK." The Rockets face the Hawks Saturday night, so hopefully the added rest will allow T-Mac to play.
Andrew Bogut, C, Milwaukee BucksSaturday 2/9, 11:12 AM CT
Andrew Bogut took a knee to his hip during Tuesday's game, according to the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel. "I struggled to get through the game on Wednesday, so I thought Thursday and Friday would be time to take a couple days off and be ready for Saturday," said Bogut, who skipped Friday's practice. Redd has missed the past six games due to a strained knee, so let's hope he's over this malady and ready to roll.
Caron Butler, F, Washington WizardsSaturday 2/9, 11:02 AM CT
Caron Butler missed another game on Friday due to his ailing hip flexor. He remains day-to-day, though he'll be examined further on Saturday, according to the Washington Post. The club is holding out hope that he'll return to action before the All-Star break, but they may be cautious and hold him out.
Jermaine O'Neal, F, Toronto RaptorsSaturday 2/9, 10:58 AM CT
Pacers coach Jim O'Brien said he expects Jermaine O'Neal to return to action sometime after the All-Star break, according to the Indianapolis Star. He also said he expects O'Neal to stay with the Pacers, despite the constant trade rumors. It could be tough to deal him before he gets back on the hardwood, and since the trade deadline is just four days after the All-Star game, O'Brien may be right. Stay tuned, though, because this isn't the last of the O'Neal trade talk.

Kevin Garnett, F, Boston CelticsSaturday 2/9, 10:29 AM CT
The odds that Kevin Garnett is able to take part in the All-Star game next weekend? "If he can play, he's going to play," coach Doc Rivers said, according to the Boston Globe. "If he's hurt, he's not going to play. Right now, I say it's 50-50." Rivers said he didn't expect KG to return from his abdominal strain for Sunday's run with the Spurs, but it's possible he could get back in the mix for the final two games before the break. Considering their entire season hinges on his health, prudence may keep him pined until after the hiatus.
