Kurt Thomas, F, San Antonio SpursWednesday 2/13, 11:54 PM CT
Kurt Thomas, who had just 8 points and 3 rebounds Friday in Phoenix, crashed the boards hard in Wednesday's loss to the Jazz pulling down 13 boards and scoring 10 points. The performance was Thomas' first double-double since late January.
Earl Watson, G, Oklahoma City ThunderWednesday 2/13, 11:50 PM CT
Earl Watson scored only seven points in Wednesday's loss to the Jazz, but registered a season-high 14 assists. The dismal Sonics lost for the third time in the last seven games -- which follows a team-record 14-game losing streak. Watson, who averages only 27 minutes a game, eight points, two rebounds and six assists - has little fantasy value in traditional formats.
Carlos Boozer, F, Utah JazzWednesday 2/13, 11:44 PM CT
Carlos Boozer scored 22 points, pulled down 11 rebounds and registered 10 assists in Wednesday's 112-93 victory over Seattle. It was Boozer's first triple-double. Boozer, who averages a double-double on the year, does it in just over 35 minutes per game. The fantasy monster is as consistent as they come. If he doesn't score he rebounds, if he doesn't crash the boards he scores -- but usually he does both.
Grant Hill, G, Phoenix SunsWednesday 2/13, 11:41 PM CT
Grant Hill had his best game of the season with a season best 15 boards along with 26 points on 11 of 18 shooting on Wednesday night. Hill just isn't the player he once was, but he is still a very solid complimentary player even if consistency alludes him. Tonight was vintage Hill though he rolled back the clock and played 39:22, his highest total since November 14th.
Amare Stoudemire, F, Phoenix SunsWednesday 2/13, 11:37 PM CT
Amare Stoudemire led four Suns who scored 20-points on Wednesday night with 29, though they still fell to the Warriors 120-118. Though the overall line looks good, Amare actually blew the game by missing two foul shots with less than four seconds left that could have sent the game to OT. The 78.3% foul shooter also lost a streak of 36-straight free throws made earlier in the game though he still finished 9-for-12 on the night.
Kevin Durant, G, Oklahoma City ThunderWednesday 2/13, 11:36 PM CT
Kevin Durant, who was just 2-for-12 from the field Friday night at Phoenix scoring but 9 points with 3 assists and a rebound, bounced back in Wednesday's loss to the Jazz leading the team with 19 points. The Sonics rookie has only missed registering double-digit scoring five times this year, one of those his 9 points on Friday vs. the Suns. Durant's weak numbers in the rebound and assist categories continued. The Sonics shooting forward had only three rebounds and failed to log an assist in Wednesday's loss.
Chris Webber, F, Wednesday 2/13, 11:34 PM CT
Chris Webber was inactive for the Warriors on Wednesday night after playing in three games for the team. No information is available as to why he didn't suit up, perhaps it had something to do with his abysmal performance so far with Golden State (2.7 points, 3.3 rebounds).
Mehmet Okur, F, Utah JazzWednesday 2/13, 11:29 PM CT
Mehmet Okur, who was held to seven points and eight rebounds Saturday against the Bulls, dropped a team-high 22 points and pulled in 9 rebounds as the Jazz defeated the Sonics 112-93. Okur's 22 points was his first 20-plus point performance since Feb. 1.
Baron Davis, G, Los Angeles ClippersWednesday 2/13, 11:29 PM CT
Baron Davis hit three late shots on his way to 27 points in the Warriors 120-118 victory over the Suns. Davis also dished out 13 assists in yet another all-star caliber performance. It's pure joy to see Davis and Monta Ellis dissect an opponents defense and Wednesday night was another such outing. Whether or not he is an all-star, when healthy, Davis is pure gold in the fantasy game.
Monta Ellis, G, Golden State WarriorsWednesday 2/13, 11:25 PM CT
Monta Ellis scored 37 points on Wednesday night, his fifth straight game of at least 21 points, as the Warriors defeated the Suns 120-118. He also played every second of the game. Ellis is simply tearing up opponents right now with slashing drives and pinpoint shooting on his way to 70% shooting the past five games when he is averaging 27.8 points. There isn't a more dynamic 6'3" player in the league than Ellis.
Tracy McGrady, G, Houston RocketsWednesday 2/13, 11:07 PM CT
Tracy McGrady was held to 12 points Monday against the Blazers -- and followed that low-scoring contest with only 10 points in Wednesday's victory over Sacramento. McGrady had scored 40 points in each of the last two meetings against the Kings, but was 3-of-12 from the floor on Wednesday. McGrady has not exceeded 15 points in any of his last four games, averaging 11 points over that stretch. McGrady is clearly not right after missing some practice time and minutes to the flu, yet the Rockets continue to roll winning 17 of their last 20 games.
Brad Miller, C, Sacramento KingsWednesday 2/13, 11:01 PM CT
Sacramento trailed by 18 points at the end of the third quarter, but took advantage of cold shooting by Houston to register a 15-1 run -- capped by a 3-pointer by Brad Miller to get within 80-76 midway through the fourth quarter. Miller finished with 13 points and grabbed 6 rebounds. The Kings center hasn't been the same player since returning from slicing his right index finger and missing one game as a result.
LaMarcus Aldridge, F, Portland TrailblazersWednesday 2/13, 10:56 PM CT
LaMarcus Aldridge returned to the area that he grew up in to face the Mavericks but he didn't receive a story book ending as he scored only six points on 3-for-10 shooting to end a streak of 3-straight twenty point outings. Aldridge is now in a mini-slump as he has made just 13 of his last 36 shots the past two games.
Yao Ming, C, Houston RocketsWednesday 2/13, 10:55 PM CT
Yao Ming had three blocks on Wednesday to bring his career total to 759. The historic throw back moved him past Moses Malone for second most in team history. Hakeem Olajuwon is Houston's all time team leader with 3,740 in his career.
Brandon Roy, G, Portland TrailblazersWednesday 2/13, 10:53 PM CT
Brandon Roy scored 25 points and added six rebounds and six assists for the Blazers in their 20 point loss to the Mavericks. Since returning from missing two games because of a death in the family, Roy has posted 40 points, 11 rebounds and 11 assists in what has become his established level of performance. The Blazers may have lost six of their last eight games but you can hardly blame that on the performance Roy has given in the games he has played.
Rafer Alston, G, Houston RocketsWednesday 2/13, 10:51 PM CT
Rafer Alston scored a season-high 23 points, his first 20-point performance since January 15th, and the Houston Rockets held on for a 89-87 win over the Sacramento Kings. The Houston point guard also pulled down one rebound and registered seven assists in the victory.
Yao Ming, C, Houston RocketsWednesday 2/13, 10:45 PM CT
Yao Ming scored 25 points and pulled down 14 rebounds assisting the Rockets to their eighth straight win, a 89-87 victory over the Kings on Wednesday night. Ming hadn't recorded double-digit rebounds in his last two contests. The double-double came at just the right time as Houston collapsed in the fourth quarter, giving up an 18-point lead, but holding on for a squeaker over Sacramento.
Devean George, G, Dallas MavericksWednesday 2/13, 10:44 PM CT
Devean George had his worst game of the season just hours after exercising his rights to block his inclusion in the Jason Kidd trade as he missed all 11 of his shots from the field to finish with zero points, four rebounds and two assists in 33 minutes. This is not the kind of night the team needed with Josh Howard sidelined, but thanks to Dirk Nowitzki they were still able to pull of the victory. Monitor George closely as the level of his production moving forward is completely uncertain and almost totally tied to how the trade with the Nets works out.
Dirk Nowitzki, F, Dallas MavericksWednesday 2/13, 10:39 PM CT
Dirk Nowitzki scored a season-high 37 points to lead the Mavericks to a 96-76 victory over the Blazers. Dirk had 13 points in the first period and 20 by halftime as he hit 13 of 26 shots and went 9-for-10 from the free throw line on the night. He also tossed in 12 rebounds for good measure. It figures that on a night where the organization wass totally up in the air because of the possible acquisition of Jason Kidd that the Mavs best player would take the game into his hands to assure a victory.
Ron Artest, F, Houston RocketsWednesday 2/13, 10:37 PM CT
Ron Artest rebounded from an off-night on Tuesday with a 30-point performance in Wednesday's two-point loss to the Houston. Artest, who was held under 20-points for the first time in seven games on Tuesday against Memphis, added four rebounds and four assists Wednesday. This kind of performance will peak interest in his availability before the league trade deadline.
Randy Foye, G, Minnesota TimberwolvesWednesday 2/13, 10:33 PM CT
Randy Foye made only six shots but four of them were 3-pointer's as he scored 18 points on Wednesday night. The points are an unexpected bonus from a guy who had failed to score more than eight points in the last six games, but when you jack up 16 shots you had better score 18 points. Foye should be utilized as nothing more than a bench player at this point, but those of you who own Rashad McCants should make other plans as Foye continues to eat into his playing time.
Lamar Odom, F, Los Angeles LakersWednesday 2/13, 10:27 PM CT
Lamar Odom posted the 12th triple-double of his career on Wednesday night with 10 points, 16 rebounds and 10 assists for the Lakers. Odom did all that while turning the ball over only twice and taking just eight shots from the field. Over the past five seasons Odom has averaged at least nine boards and 13 points a game, pretty strong numbers for a complimentary player. He should continue to ride shotgun to Bryant and Pau Gasol the rest of the year and have similar results.
Aaron McKie, G, Wednesday 2/13, 10:21 PM CT
Aaron McKie wasn't with the team in Wednesday's loss to the 76ers for personal reasons. McKie began the season as an assistant coach with the 76ers -- then was signed by the Los Angeles Lakers -- and then traded to Memphis.
Kobe Bryant, G, Los Angeles LakersWednesday 2/13, 10:21 PM CT
Kobe Bryant was perfect from the line going 13-for-13 on his way to a 29 point, five rebound, five assist outing against the Timberwolves. Bryant only turned the ball over once on Wednesday though he failed to record 30-points for a fourth straight game in the victory.
Michael Redd, G, Milwaukee BucksWednesday 2/13, 10:17 PM CT
Bouncing back from an 11 point performance, Michael Redd scored 30 points on Wednesday night despite just 10-for-24 shooting from the field as he made 9 of 10 shots from the charity stripe. He also tossed in six rebounds and five assists. As many anticipated Mo Williams will likely take a bit of a step back off his torrid pace of late with Redd back in the lineup as he did on the night with 14 points, though he still managed to dish out nine assists.
Kyle Lowry, G, Memphis GrizzliesWednesday 2/13, 10:15 PM CT
Kyle Lowry came off the bench Wednesday in a loss to the 76ers, but played the minutes of a starter. The shooting guard played nearly 40 minutes, was 4-of-8 from the field and knocked down three 3-pointers. It was Lowry's first game in double figures in almost two weeks. He was back on the bench for the fourth straight game as Mike Conley's health continues to improve.
Chris Paul, G, New Orleans HornetsWednesday 2/13, 10:13 PM CT
Chris Paul had another standard outing on Wednesday night, and by that we mean he scored 21 points and dishes out 10 assists, almost spot no his yearly totals (20.5 points, 10.9 assists). This kid is a player and should be a fixture in the All-Star game for the next decade.
Tyson Chandler, C, New Orleans HornetsWednesday 2/13, 10:07 PM CT
Tyson Chandler, making up for some missed time due to the flu, scored 15 points (on only seven shots) while hauling in 16 boards on Wednesday night. Tyson is averaging 12 and 12 every night while shooting better than 60% from the field marking him as one of the top fantasy centers going.
Rudy Gay, G, Memphis GrizzliesWednesday 2/13, 10:06 PM CT
Rudy Gay dropped a team-high 23 points in Wednesday's loss to the 76ers. The shooting guard went 8-of-19 from the field and was perfect on all five attempts from the line. Gay recorded four rebounds and one assist, and has scored 20-plus points in three straight games.
Shawne Williams, F, Dallas MavericksWednesday 2/13, 10:04 PM CT
Shawne Williams scored seven points with four rebounds on Wednesday night, but the most exciting part of his line was the atrocious 1-for-10 from the field. Williams entered the game averaging 7.5 points per contest, but he was shooting 46.9% so we will chalk this outing up as a one game anomaly.
Jason Maxiell, F, Detroit PistonsWednesday 2/13, 10:00 PM CT
Jason Maxiell contributed his best game in about three weeks with 11 points and 11 boards on Wednesday night. Maxiell has improved each of his three years in the league, but he still is best left on waivers at this point of his career unless you are in a dynasty format.
Tayshaun Prince, F, Detroit PistonsWednesday 2/13, 9:56 PM CT
Tayshaun Prince scored 14 points, as did Chauncey Billups and Richard Hamilton, as the Pistons won their 10th straight game on Monday night over the Pacers 96-80. Prince is one of those slightly under the radar fantasy performers who always seems to help a bit more than you thought he would. On the year he is contributing 13.3 points, 4.8 rebounds and 3.0 assists per game.
Hakim Warrick, F, Memphis GrizzliesWednesday 2/13, 9:53 PM CT
Hakim Warrick, who started for the second straight game Wednesday night, followed up his Tuesday double-double with 23 points and 8 rebounds. Warrick continues to receive increased minutes and is making the most of them. If Warrick continues to start he will receive some serious looks from fantasy owners.
Samuel Dalembert, C, Philadelphia 76ersWednesday 2/13, 9:45 PM CT
Samuel Dalembert recorded his first double-double in his last dozen games on Wednesday night as the Philadelphia 76ers defeated the Grizzlies 102-88. The Sixers center scored 16 points, grabbed 12 rebounds and shot 60 percent from the field hitting 6-of-10 shots.
Andre Iguodala, G, Philadelphia 76ersWednesday 2/13, 9:39 PM CT
Andre Iguodala scored 29 points, pulled down eight rebounds and registered eight assists as the Philadelphia 76ers won their fifth straight game with a 102-88 victory over the Memphis Grizzlies on Wednesday night. Iguodala doubled the production of his previous two games combined. The Sixers shooting forward is averaging nearly 20 points and 40 minutes per game and is top-tiered fantasy option in traditional formats.
Zach Randolph, F, Los Angeles ClippersWednesday 2/13, 9:36 PM CT
Zach Randolph had a good showing for the Knicks tonight with 20 points and 13 rebounds, though he did foul out of the game in just 26 minutes of action. Randolph flashed the offense tonight but also the undisciplined play that unfortunately has crept into his game quite often this season.
Jamal Crawford, G, Golden State WarriorsWednesday 2/13, 9:34 PM CT
Jamal Crawford scored 26 points and added seven assists despite making only 8 of 21 shots and just 1 of 6 from downtown. Someone has to score for the Knicks and that someone is Crawford who continues to put up 20 points on a regular basis despite often times shooting like he has had three or four beers at halftime as he is shooting under 41% on the year.
Ray Allen, G, Boston CelticsWednesday 2/13, 9:30 PM CT
Ray Allen scored 21 points and added eight boards and five assists on Wednesday night in the Celtics 111-103 victory over the Knicks. Those are certainly good surface numbers, but as he has done much of this year, Allen was far from his normal dead-eye self from the field as he made only 6 of 16 shots on the night. Allen can be deadly when he is on, and even on nights like tonight when he isn't, he still offers enough production to be a solid starter in all fantasy formats.
Emeka Okafor, F, Charlotte BobcatsWednesday 2/13, 9:22 PM CT
Emeka Okafor did his part to lead the Bobcats to an OT win on Wednesday night by posting a double, double-double, of 20 points and 21 rebounds. To make the night even more grand, Okafor was 6-for-11 from the field and also blocked five Nets shots. This was the third time over the last seven games that Okafor was able to score at least 20 points with 18 rebounds.
Joe Johnson, G, Atlanta HawksWednesday 2/13, 9:13 PM CT
Joe Johnson led five Hawks in double-digits on Wednesday night with 23 points, though it wasn't enough as the Hawks dropped their fourth straight game by the score of 100-98 in OT to the Bobcats. Johnson is currently working on his third straight season of at least 20 points, four rebounds and four assists, so he remains a solid source of production despite shooting a 3-year low of 40.2% from the field.
Vince Carter, G, New Jersey NetsWednesday 2/13, 9:06 PM CT
Vince Carter led the Jason Kidd-less Nets with seven assists on Wednesday night as they were crushed by the Raptors 109-91. Carter scored 15 points and was limited to just 5 of 15 shooting and three rebounds on the night. Momma said there would be nights like this. Carter can't be thrilled with this kind of effort against his old team, and it remains to be seen how much creating he will have to do to get his points if the Kidd trade goes through.
Chris Bosh, F, Toronto RaptorsWednesday 2/13, 9:03 PM CT
Chris Bosh rebounded from one of his worst performances of the season with 27 points, nine rebounds and four assists in the Raptors victory on Monday night. Bosh had put up only 11 points last time out, he scored 10 in the first quarter tonight, so his return to the 20-point club was great to see.
Jose Calderon, G, Toronto RaptorsWednesday 2/13, 9:00 PM CT
Jose Calderon continued his recent stretch of solid play with 22 points and 12 assists against the Kidd-less Nets on Wednesday night. Calderon was 9-for-12 from the field and 3-for-4 from long range. Calderon is averaging a season best 17.2 points in February and he has totaled at least 10 assists in four of the last five games.
Carmelo Anthony, F, Denver NuggetsWednesday 2/13, 8:52 PM CT
Carmelo Anthony scored a game-high 32 points on Wednesday night but it wasn't enough to lead the Nuggets to a victory. Anthony is amongst the league's leading scorers at over 26 points a contest, but he is also turning the ball over 3.5 times per game after last year's 3.6 mark.
Kenyon Martin, F, Denver NuggetsWednesday 2/13, 8:49 PM CT
Kenyon Martin scored 17 points and added nine boards and four steals in the Nuggets loss on Wednesday night. With a scoring average of just barely better than 11 on the season, Martin has been on quite a roll of late with double digit points in six of the last seven games (15.3 points per game) as he continues to shoot at over a 50% clip.
Rashard Lewis, F, Orlando MagicWednesday 2/13, 8:43 PM CT
For the first time since January 15th, Rashard Lewis pumped in more than 20-points as he hit 9 of 14 shots on his way to 25 points and seven rebounds on Wednesday night. Lewis still gets his points, he is averaging more than 18 per game this season, but that is still a bit of a step down after averaging over 20-points in each of the past three seasons. The main reason is that his season long shooting percentage sits at 43.5%.
Dwight Howard, C, Orlando MagicWednesday 2/13, 8:38 PM CT
Dwight Howard, fresh off accepting the scorn of his coach, took out his anger on the Nuggets on Wednesday night scoring 23 points with 24 rebounds, nine on the offensive glass. Not many players can average 20.8 points and 11.0 rebounds over six games and be considered to be in a mild slump. Howard emphatically put an end to that talk tonight.
LeBron James, F, Cleveland CavaliersWednesday 2/13, 8:34 PM CT
LeBron James pumped in 39 points, six rebounds and nine assists in the Cavs loss to the Spurs on Wednesday night. James foisted up 31 shots, hitting 17, while playing a game-high 42:44. You don't need us to tell you who the king is do you?
Manu Ginobili, G, San Antonio SpursWednesday 2/13, 8:31 PM CT
Manu Ginobili had a career night that included 46 points, five rebounds and eight assists in the Suns 112-105 victory over the Cavs. Ginobili was an amazing 15-for-20 from the field and 8-for-11 on three's. Manu is on absolute fire right now having hit 19 three-pointers in his last three games, and he is also working on a streak of 4-straight games with at least 20 points.
Jason Kidd, G, Dallas MavericksWednesday 2/13, 8:27 PM CT
Jason Kidd may not be headed to the Mavericks after all since one of the players involved in the trade, Devean George, has exercised a clause in his contract that will allow him to block his trade to the Nets according to a report on ESPN. As a result the deal, which had verbally been agreed to, will have to be reworked unless George is somehow persuaded to allow his inclusion in it. The upshot is that the deal will likely have to be restructured, but there is still hope that something will eventually be worked out to allow Kidd to suit up for the Mavericks.
Shaquille O'Neal, C, Phoenix SunsWednesday 2/13, 8:20 PM CT
Shaquille ONeal likely won't play his first game until after the All-Star break according to a report at the Arizona Republic. "I went through three tough days, moving, jumping, banging and the hip feels pretty solid," O'Neal said. "One or two days of working out on my own and I'm looking to come back very, very shortly." Look for O'Neal to make a statement once he returns to action in about a week, though that statement may be I can no longer run.
Glen Davis, F, Boston CelticsWednesday 2/13, 8:07 PM CT
Glen Davis was forced to leave the Celtics-Knicks game on Wednesday night after injuring his hand and knee in a fall according to the AP. The report also stated that the team's official reason for removal from the game was a strained left quadriceps.
T.J. Ford, G, Indiana PacersWednesday 2/13, 5:55 PM CT
T.J. Ford is being listed as questionable for Wednesday night with a wrist injury that kept him out of practice on Tuesday according to the Toronto Sun. Ford was limited to just nine minutes on Monday night and he is officially being called day-to-day due to the injury. Ford has been unable to recapture his early season form since returning from a two month absence for an injured shoulder/neck, so this latest setback just adds to his woes.
Jason Kidd, G, Dallas MavericksWednesday 2/13, 5:27 PM CT
Jason Kidd still may not become a member of the Mavericks according to a report on the Dallas Morning News. Mark Cuban, in an email, said that the deal "...could still fall through." At this point it appears that the deal will go through, but with all the players and contracts in play, it just might take more time than originally thought to get it all done.
Josh Howard, G, Dallas MavericksWednesday 2/13, 5:20 PM CT
Josh Howard will not play on Wednesday night due to a back contusion according to a report on the Dallas Morning News. Howard will most likely also sit out the team's game on Thursday since there is no reason to rush him back into action with the All-Star game coming up. With today's Jason Kidd trade in the mix, this could be one interesting game for the Mavs as they try to piece together a lineup that also might be without Erik Dampier.
Ben Wallace, F, Cleveland CavaliersWednesday 2/13, 4:17 PM CT
Ben Wallace will miss the Bulls game against the Heat on Thursday due to a death in the family according to the AP. The Bulls shouldn't have a problem beating the Heat anyway, and it's not like a fantasy team can't stand to lose a guy who is averaging barely five points and just under nine rebounds for one game.
Tim Thomas, F, New York KnicksWednesday 2/13, 3:42 PM CT
Tim Thomas told the LA Times that he'll be out until after the All-Star break because of his sore back. "I'm trying to let it calm all the way down and rebuild," said Thomas. "It was already sore, but when you are sleeping in soft beds, that's what made it flare."
Darrell Armstrong, G, New Jersey NetsWednesday 2/13, 3:33 PM CT
The Mavericks are set to acquire Jason Kidd and Darrell Armstrong from the Nets in exchange for Devin Harris, Jerry Stackhouse, DeSagana Diop and Devean George. Armstrong is averaging just 2.0 points and 10 minutes per game with the Nets this year.
Devean George, G, Dallas MavericksWednesday 2/13, 3:31 PM CT
Devean George is part of a package that the Nets will acquire in the reported Jason Kidd deal. George has been upset about his playing time in Dallas, so he will probably be happy with the move to the Northeast.
DeSagana Diop, F, Dallas MavericksWednesday 2/13, 3:30 PM CT
DeSagana Diop is part of a package that the Nets will acquire in the reported Jason Kidd deal. Diop is averaging just 3.1 points in 50 games with the Mavs this year and doesn't figure to suddenly turn into a fantasy factor in Jersey.
Jerry Stackhouse, G, Dallas MavericksWednesday 2/13, 3:28 PM CT
Jerry Stackhouse is part of a package that the Nets will acquire in the reported Jason Kidd deal. Stack is averaging a career-low 9.8 points this season.
Devin Harris, G, New Jersey NetsWednesday 2/13, 3:26 PM CT
Devin Harris is part of a package that the Nets will acquire in the reported Jason Kidd deal. Harris is currently dealing with an ankle injury but is due back after the All-Star break. He's averaging 14.4 points, 5.3 assists and 1.4 steals per game.
Mickael Pietrus, G, Orlando MagicWednesday 2/13, 3:23 PM CT
Mickael Pietrus wants to be dealt before the deadline. The small forward has seen his playing time reduced drastically since Stephen Jackson arrived last January, according to the Contra Costa Times. He averaged 13.7 points and 5.0 rebounds in 31.1 minutes per game last season before the acquisition of Jackson and has seen those numbers slip to 7.0, 3.4 and 19.7 since. Pietrus is a free agent after the season and doesn't intend on returning to the Warriors, so it seems likely that the team will do what it can to oblige his request.
Steven Hunter, C, Denver NuggetsWednesday 2/13, 2:42 PM CT
Steven Hunter missed his third straight game Tuesday with a sore right knee. The center said he wouldn't play tonight, either, but would be good to go after the All-Star break, according to the Denver Post.
Caron Butler, F, Washington WizardsWednesday 2/13, 2:33 PM CT
Caron Butler went through a workout Tuesday and will be a game-time decision for Wednesday night's tilt against the Clippers, according to the Washington Post. He has missed the last five games with a strained left hip flexor.
Dwyane Wade, G, Miami HeatWednesday 2/13, 2:23 PM CT
With Shaq out of town, Udonis Haslem and Alonzo Mourning injured and Mark Blount and Earl Barron more face-up oriented players, Dwyane Wade will be used in the post more often. "We haven't run a post-up play in the last month, but we're going to have to find that," coach Pat Riley said in the Miami Herald. "Dwyane is going to take on that presence a little more down there. That's the next step in his development. Finding a post-up presence is always important, and it's on our short list of things to do."
Jason Kidd, G, Dallas MavericksWednesday 2/13, 1:55 PM CT
Jason Kidd has been traded to the Dallas Mavericks according to a report on ESPN.com. The deal is not yet official, but it is being reported as "imminent," according to sources. The proposed deal would send Devin Harris, Jerry Stackhouse, DeSagana Diop and Devean George to New Jersey for Kidd and Darrell Armstrong.
Josh Childress, F, Wednesday 2/13, 1:52 PM CT
Josh Childress flew back to Atlanta Wednesday to have an MRI exam on his right knee and is expected to miss Wednesday's game against the Bobcats. Childress hyperextended his knee late in Tuesday's game. "We don't think it's anything too serious," Childress told the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. "But they wanted me to get it checked out just to be safe."
Jamaal Tinsley, G, Indiana PacersWednesday 2/13, 1:03 PM CT
Pacers coach Jim O'Brien expects Jamaal Tinsley to return after the All-Star break, according to the Indianapolis Star. The guard has missed the past three games and six of the past nine with inflammation in his left knee.
Travis Diener, G, Indiana PacersWednesday 2/13, 12:58 PM CT
Travis Diener aggravated the right ankle injury that has been bothering him for some time when he stepped on referee Bennett Salvatore's foot late in the fourth quarter of Tuesday's game. Diener said he is doubtful for tonight's contest with the Pistons, according to the Indianapolis Star.
Kirk Hinrich, G, Chicago BullsWednesday 2/13, 12:52 PM CT
Kirk Hinrich returned to the lineup Tuesday after missing three games with bruised ribs. He scored 15 points and dished out four assists.
