The results of Thursday's MRI exam on the injured thumb of Mike Bibby were negative, and the Hawks point guard is expected to play Friday against Chicago, this according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. Bibby injured his left thumb in Wednesday's win over Milwaukee. He left the game in the fourth quarter and did not return.

Expect Ford to remain in the starting lineup, but his minutes will be monitored after a suffering serious head trauma earlier in the year.

Richard Hamilton missed his second straight game Wednesday because of a hip injury. Rookie Arron Afflalo started for Hamilton, but played only 12 minutes to Rodney Stuckey's 30. The Pistons, who were playing their third game in four nights, lost 89-82 to Toronto. The Pistons will play their fourth game in five nights on Thursday when they host Miami. Stuckey, at this point is a better offensive option than an unhealthy Hamilton. Stuckey scored 16 points and added six boards. Hamilton is averaging 17.7 points per game, but unless the veteran is 100 percent, the Pistons are better served playing young legs.

Mike Dunleavy had 33 points, seven assists and six rebounds to lead the losing Indiana Pacers (29-43) on Wednesday night. The Pacers are trying to catch the streaking Hawks, but the loss to the Nets now leaves them 2 1/2 games back in the weak East. Dunleavy has been great. The forward is averaging 22 points in March and 18.7 on the season. Throw in five rebound and 3.5 helpers per contest and the son of an NBA player has become very fantasy-friendly.

Antawn Jamison, averaging a team-high 21.6 points, is hurt and/or run down as evidence of his recent performances. The team won't acknowledge such, but Jamison has struggled on back-to-back nights. He scored just nine points on 3-for-13 shooting Tuesday in a 102-82 loss to Portland. He hit 6 of 17 attempts against the Sonics and finished with 17 points. The Wizards (37-34) remained a half-game ahead of Philadelphia for sixth place in the Eastern Conference, but after watching Jamison play on Wednesday something isn't quite right with the veteran forward.

Tracy McGrady, who injured his left shoulder, his non-shooting shoulder, in Monday's victory over Sacramento received a shot before the game that left his shoulder feeling "fine," this according to the Houston Chronicle. Mac scored 10 of his 23 points in the fourth quarter when he returned to the game -- essentially laying the knockout points on the Timberwolves Wednesday night.

Andrew Bogut left Wednesday's loss to the Hawks with a blood-covered face after going for a lob pass from Awvee Storey and being inadvertently elbowed by Atlanta's Marvin Williams. The Bucks initially thought Bogut's nose was broken, but until tests are run this morning nothing definitive will be announced. "It feels broken to me," said Bogut afterward. "It's more of a headache and ringing in the ears," this according to JS Online. Talk about a young team that has hit the wall and lacks the talent to compete in March and April; the Bucks got a total of four points from their reserves - two by Yi Jianlian and one each by Royal Ivey and Awvee Storey.

It's amazing how Martin has taken control of this offense, scoring big point in nearly every outing this month. He likes to shoot and he likes to score.
