Jamal Lewis, RB, Cleveland BrownsSaturday 10/13, 4:29 PM CT
Jamal Lewis has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Dolphins, the team's official web site reports. Lewis injured his right foot in Week 5 and did not practice this week. Jason Wright will start in his place and should be a decent fantasy play.
David Carr, QB, New York GiantsSaturday 10/13, 3:54 PM CT
The Panthers downgraded quarterback David Carr to questionable on Saturday because of his back injury, according to the Charlotte Observer. He returned to practice on Friday after missing two days and was originally listed as probable. Carr will be a game-time decision on Sunday. Vinny Testaverde is expected to be the starter if Carr can’t go, but the team may chose to go with undrafted rookie Matt Moore, as well.
Tarvaris Jackson, QB, Minnesota VikingsSaturday 10/13, 8:41 AM CT
Tarvaris Jackson took all of the first-team snaps in practice on Friday. "I'm listing him as probable," coach Brad Childress told the St. Paul Pioneer Press. "How's that? He practiced better today out there." Despite the coach's coy comment, Jackson is expected to return from his groin injury on Sunday.
Antwaan Randle El, WR, Washington RedskinsSaturday 10/13, 8:35 AM CT
Antwaan Randle El once again was held out of practice on Friday due to his hamstring injury. Although the receiver was adamant that he'd be able to play Sunday, coach Joe Gibbs said Randle El will be a game-time decision, according to the Washington Post. "I think [Randle El] is a great competitor and the closer it gets to game time he's wanting to go," Gibbs said. "He'll probably be one we'll warm up on Sunday and see how it goes." We should know about an hour before the game whether Randle El is active.
Greg Jennings, WR, Green Bay PackersSaturday 10/13, 8:26 AM CT
As expected, Greg Jennings returned to practice on Friday. He is expected to play on Sunday, according to the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel. Jennings was held out of practice earlier in the week due to his shoulder injury, but he's safe to keep in your fantasy lineups Sunday.
L.J. Smith, TE, Philadelphia EaglesSaturday 10/13, 8:21 AM CT
L.J. Smith is expected to return to game action on Sunday. However, coach Andy Reid said the tight end likely will be limited, according to the Philadelphia Inquirer. Returning from a second surgery on his groin, it appears that Smith will be worked back into action slowly over the next few weeks. That means he's not a good play this weekend.
Brian Westbrook, RB, Philadelphia EaglesSaturday 10/13, 8:18 AM CT
Brian Westbrook is set to return to action on Sunday. He appeared recovered from his abdominal strain as he went full speed in practice on Friday, according to the Philadelphia Inquirer. Hopefully, the frail running back will avoid aggravating the injury in the game.
Anquan Boldin, WR, Arizona CardinalsSaturday 10/13, 8:09 AM CT
Anquan Boldin went through strenous workouts this week and is hopeful that he can practice next week. However, he's not expected to play on Sunday, according to the Arizona Republic. Boldin's listed as doubtful due to his ailing hip for this week, but there's at least a chance we'll see him on the field for Week 7.
Bernard Berrian, WR, Minnesota VikingsSaturday 10/13, 8:02 AM CT
Bernard Berrian was able to return to practice on Friday, according to the Chicago Tribune. He's listed as questionable, but it appears he likely will play through his toe injury.
Brandon Jones, WR, Tennessee TitansSaturday 10/13, 7:53 AM CT
Brandon Jones missed practice again Friday. He's listed as questionable for Sunday's game due to his knee injury, according to the Tennessean. Jones has yet to practice this week due to the injury. Look for him to be a game-time call and a risky play, even if he suits up.
Joe Jurevicius, WR, Cleveland BrownsSaturday 10/13, 7:37 AM CT
Joe Jurevicius was able to take part in a limited practice on Friday. "I'm doing better," Jurevicius told the Cleveland Plain Dealer. "We'll just have to see." Jurevicius is listed as questionable due to his knee injury, but it looks like he probably will be a game-time decision on Sunday.
Jamal Lewis, RB, Cleveland BrownsSaturday 10/13, 7:34 AM CT
Jamal Lewis again did not practice on Friday. In fact, his injured foot has been in a walking boot all week, according to the Cleveland Plain Dealer. At best, Lewis will be a game-time call Sunday. If he sits, Jason Wright would start for the Browns.
Plaxico Burress, WR, New York GiantsSaturday 10/13, 7:28 AM CT
Plaxico Burress hasn't practiced this week due to his ankle injury. However, he's still expected to play on Sunday, according to the New York Daily News. This is the same routine he's used in recent weeks with great success, so go ahead and start him in your fantasy lineups.
Erik Coleman, S, Atlanta FalconsSaturday 10/13, 7:23 AM CT
It appears that the Jets may get Erik Coleman back in action tomorrow. Coleman said Friday he was "hopeful" that he'd be able to suit up for the contest, according to the New York Daily News. He's listed as questionable due to the concussion that kept him sidelined last week, but he may end up a game-time call.
Rudi Johnson, RB, Detroit LionsSaturday 10/13, 7:10 AM CT
Rudi Johnson was able to practice on Friday. After the session, coach Marvin Lewis said that Johnson is healthy, but both Johnson and Kenny Watson will get carries on Sunday, according to the Cincinnati Enquirer. So the good news is that Johnson is ready to return from his hamstring injury. But the bad news is the tandem work with Watson could limit Johnson's fantasy value, depending on exactly how many carries Watson takes.
Andre Johnson, WR, Houston TexansSaturday 10/13, 6:57 AM CT
Not only is Andre Johnson still going to be sidelined this weekend, but it's not clear when he might return to action. Early projections had him coming back next week, but a more likely date might be Nov. 18, according to the Houston Chronicle. Johnson is recovering from a sprained PCL in his knee. If you have a good record in your league and can suck it up for a while longer, Johnson makes a good buy-low trade prospect. If he's on your roster, it looks like it may be another month before he plays for you again.
Todd Heap, TE, Baltimore RavensSaturday 10/13, 6:50 AM CT
Todd Heap is expected to return to action on Sunday, according to the Baltimore Sun. The tight end missed last week's game with a strained hamstring, but he's practiced all week and is set to take the field this weekend.
Steve McNair, QB, Saturday 10/13, 6:47 AM CT
Earlier in the week it looked like Steve McNair's back injury wouldn't stop him from playing on Sunday, but that's no longer the case. He missed his second consecutive practice Friday due to the injury and now is considered to be a game-time call, according to the Baltimore Sun. Although he seems to be nearly over his groin injury, his back problem obviously is a big enough concern that even if he starts the game, he may not finish it. Hopefully, you'll have a safer option than McNair to put in your lineup.
