Chris Brown, RB, Houston TexansSunday 10/14, 10:00 PM CT
Chris Brown suffered a sprained ankle in the second quarter Sunday and did not return, according to the Nashville Tennessean. "Somebody just rolled up on it," Brown said. "We'll see how bad it is." It's unclear if this injury will affect his status for Week 7.
Alex Smith, TE, Tampa Bay BuccaneersSunday 10/14, 9:55 PM CT
Alex Smith left Sunday's game with an ankle injury and did not return. He underwent X-rays after the game, but the results were not released. We should know more on Smith's status over the next couple of days.
Tom Brady, QB, New England PatriotsSunday 10/14, 9:45 PM CT
Tom Brady threw for 388 yards and five touchdowns against Dallas on Sunday. The five TDs tied a franchise record. Brady has now thrown at least three touchdown passes in all six games this season, which is an NFL record. Not only that, but his 21 passing touchdowns this season are just three shy of the 24 TD passes he threw last year.
LaMont Jordan, RB, New England PatriotsSunday 10/14, 9:38 PM CT
LaMont Jordan was active for the Raiders on Sunday, despite being listed as doubtful with his back injury, but he wasn't very effective. He picked up just 42 yards on his 18 carries (2.3 YPC). It's possible his back is still bothering him somewhat, but we should know more later this week.
LaDainian Tomlinson, RB, San Diego ChargersSunday 10/14, 9:36 PM CT
LaDainian Tomlinson looked like the LT of 2006 on Sunday against the Raiders, rushing for 199 yards and four scores on 24 carries (8.3 YPC). He also added three catches for 18 yards. It was just Tomlinson's second 100-yard game of the season. Interestingly enough, LT didn't record his second 100-yard game of last season until Week 8, and he has the same number of total TDs now (7) as he did at this time last year.
Sammy Morris, RB, New England PatriotsSunday 10/14, 5:25 PM CT
Sammy Morris went to the locker room in the third quarter on Sunday, and he is unlikely to return to the game due to a chest injury.
Ben Watson, TE, New England PatriotsSunday 10/14, 4:35 PM CT
Ben Watson left Sunday's matchup against Dallas in the second quarter with a left ankle injury. He was seen walking gingerly on sidelines after the play, but the injury doesn't appear to be overly serious. His return is questionable.
Kevin Walter, WR, Houston TexansSunday 10/14, 4:17 PM CT
Kevin Walter went nuts against the Jaguars Sunday, catching 12 balls for 160 yards. Walter can't be considered a safe option going forward, especially once Andre Johnson returns, but Matt Schaub may continue to target him more in the future.
Cleo Lemon, QB, Jacksonville JaguarsSunday 10/14, 4:09 PM CT
Starting in place of the injured Trent Green, Cleo Lemon threw for 256 yards, two touchdowns and two picks on Sunday. He also added two scores on the ground, giving him an extremely productive fantasy day. We still can't consider Lemon much of a fantasy option, but this performance is noteworthy, nonetheless.
Rudi Johnson, RB, Detroit LionsSunday 10/14, 4:04 PM CT
Rudi Johnson was active for the Bengals on Sunday, but he was a non-factor, carrying just four times for eight yards. Kenny Watson got the start, collecting 68 yards on 13 carries. Rudi should return to the starting role once the Bengals feel he's back to 100 percent, but it's unclear when that'll be.
Braylon Edwards, WR, Cleveland BrownsSunday 10/14, 3:59 PM CT
Braylon Edwards continued his rise to fantasy stardom on Sunday, catching five passes for 67 yards and three touchdowns Sunday against Miami. He has now tallied seven scores this year after scoring six times all of last season. The Browns have a bye in Week 7, but Edwards has another solid matchup against St. Louis in Week 8.
Maurice Jones-Drew, RB, Jacksonville JaguarsSunday 10/14, 3:52 PM CT
Maurice Jones-Drew continued his rebound from a slow start on Sunday, rushing for 125 yards and two TDs on 12 carries against Houston. He also had four receptions for 59 yards. Jones-Drew was looking like one of the year's biggest busts early in the season, but he's now tallied 296 yards and three scores in the last two weeks.
Larry Johnson, RB, Kansas City ChiefsSunday 10/14, 3:45 PM CT
Larry Johnson put up his second 100-yard rushing performance on Sunday against the Bengals, and he scored his first TD of the year, an eight-yard run in the second quarter. While LJ ran for 119 yards, he still averaged just 3.8 YPC. Johnson has undoubtedly been a big disappointment this year, but his schedule is considerably easier going forward.
Kurt Warner, QB, Arizona CardinalsSunday 10/14, 3:43 PM CT
Cardinal quarterback Kurt Warner left Sunday’s game with an elbow injury. He had the joint bent backwards when Julius Peppers landed on him while attempting to recover a fumble. Tim Rattay took over for Warner, whose return seems very questionable at this point.
Ronnie Brown, RB, Miami DolphinsSunday 10/14, 3:37 PM CT
Ronnie Brown tallied his fourth straight 100-yard rushing game on Sunday against Cleveland, rushing for 101 yards on 19 carries (5.3 YPC). Not only that, but he also had nine catches for 69 yards. At this point, Brown has to considered a top 5 fantasy back the rest of the way.
Greg Olsen, TE, Chicago BearsSunday 10/14, 3:31 PM CT
Greg Olsen put together his second straight solid performance on Sunday against Minnesota, catching five passes for 63 yards. The Bears should continue to keep the rookie involved in the offense, and he could be an underrated option going forward.
Adrian Peterson, RB, Minnesota VikingsSunday 10/14, 3:25 PM CT
Adrian Peterson had a career day in a 34-31 victory over Chicago on Sunday, rushing for 224 yards and three touchdowns on 20 carries. His TDs came on runs of 67, 73 and 35 yards. Peterson also had a 53-yard kickoff return with just over a minute left, which led to Ryan Longwell's game-winning field goal.
Vinny Testaverde, QB, Sunday 10/14, 3:24 PM CT
Vinny Testaverde started for the Panthers on Sunday. David Carr warmed up prior to the game, but his back injury apparently prevented him from starting.
Bubba Franks, TE, New York JetsSunday 10/14, 3:09 PM CT
Bubba Franks was carted off the field with an undisclosed late in Sunday’s game against the Redskins.
David Carr, QB, New York GiantsSunday 10/14, 2:41 PM CT
David Carr is active for Sunday’s game against the Cardinals. However, the team has yet to announce whether he’ll start the game. He had been listed as questionable with a back injury.
Alex Smith, TE, Tampa Bay BuccaneersSunday 10/14, 2:33 PM CT
Alex Smith was carted off the field with an apparent leg injury during the fourth quarter of Sunday’s game against the Titans. He is not expected to return.
Anquan Boldin, WR, Arizona CardinalsSunday 10/14, 2:31 PM CT
The Cardinals will be without receiver Anquan Boldin for the third straight week due to a hip injury. He is inactive for Sunday’s game, as expected. Bryant Johnson will start in his place.
LaMont Jordan, RB, New England PatriotsSunday 10/14, 2:26 PM CT
Despite being listed as doubtful with a back injury, LaMont Jordan is active for the Raiders. Still, his workload will likely be somewhat limited, as he should share carries with Justin Fargas and Dominic Rhodes.
Brian Leonard, RB, St. Louis RamsSunday 10/14, 2:20 PM CT
Brian Leonard returned to Sunday’s game against the Ravens after sitting out a series with an undisclosed injury.
Brett Favre, QB, New York JetsSunday 10/14, 2:11 PM CT
Brett Favre now holds the NFL mark for interceptions, as well as touchdowns. He tossed his 248th pick in the third quarter against Washington on Sunday. The previous record was held by George Blanda.
Todd Heap, TE, Baltimore RavensSunday 10/14, 2:07 PM CT
Todd Heap left Sunday's contest against the Rams after tweaking his hamstring injury, and it doesn't appear as though he'll return. He didn't have a catch before his departure. It's unclear if this injury will force the tight end to miss any more time; it's possible the Ravens were just because cautious with Heap after building an early lead against St. Louis.
Brian Leonard, RB, St. Louis RamsSunday 10/14, 2:02 PM CT
Brian Leonard left Sunday’s game against the Ravens in the third quarter with an undisclosed injury. He was smiling on the sideline a few minutes later, so his injury does not appear to be serious.
Vince Young, QB, Tennessee TitansSunday 10/14, 1:53 PM CT
Vince Young left Tennessee’s game against Tampa Bay in the third quarter with a left leg injury. He hurt his leg while running out of bounds, and there was no immediate word on the extent of the injury or if he would return to the game. Kerry Collins entered in Young’s place.
Tony Gonzalez, TE, Kansas City ChiefsSunday 10/14, 12:50 PM CT
Tony Gonzalez caught a three-yard TD pass in the first quarter against the Bengals on Sunday, giving him 63 career touchdown receptions, which surpasses Shannon Sharpe's mark for most career TD receptions by a tight end. Gonzalez also extended his streak of catching a pass in 104 consecutive games, which ranks second all-time to Ozzie Newsome (150).
Kyle Boller, QB, Baltimore RavensSunday 10/14, 11:50 AM CT
ESPN is reporting that Kyle Boller will start on Sunday against the Rams. Steve McNair is active but will not go due to a sore back.
Steve McNair, QB, Sunday 10/14, 11:31 AM CT
Steve McNair is active for Sunday's game against the Rams, but the team has not said if McNair or Kyle Boller will start. McNair is dealing with a stiff back and previously battled a sore groin. He did not practice this week.
Derrick Mason, WR, Baltimore RavensSunday 10/14, 11:12 AM CT
Derrick Mason is active and will start on Sunday against the Rams. He was dealing with gastroenteritis throughout the week.
Greg Jennings, WR, Green Bay PackersSunday 10/14, 11:09 AM CT
Greg Jennings will start against the Redskins on Sunday. He has been nursing shoulder and hamstring injuries this week, but he is listed as the starter opposite Donald Driver.
Todd Heap, TE, Baltimore RavensSunday 10/14, 11:09 AM CT
Todd Heap is active and will start on Sunday against the Rams. He missed last week's game due to a sore hamstring. Fantasy owners should feel free to use him.
Brandon Jackson, RB, Green Bay PackersSunday 10/14, 11:07 AM CT
Brandon Jackson will not play in Sunday’s game against the Redskins. He is listed as inactive for the third consecutive game.
Antwaan Randle El, WR, Washington RedskinsSunday 10/14, 11:06 AM CT
Antwaan Randle El is active and will start in Week 6. He did not practice this week due to a hamstring injury suffered last Sunday. We don't suggest trusting him for fantasy leagues.
Santana Moss, WR, Washington RedskinsSunday 10/14, 11:04 AM CT
Santana Moss is active and will start in Week 6. He missed last Sunday's game due to a sore groin.
Tarvaris Jackson, QB, Minnesota VikingsSunday 10/14, 11:01 AM CT
Tarvaris Jackson will start against the Bears on Sunday. He has missed the last two games with a groin injury.
Brian Westbrook, RB, Philadelphia EaglesSunday 10/14, 10:58 AM CT
Brian Westbrook is active for Sunday’s game against the Jets. He sat out Week 4 with a strained abdominal muscle, but he is expected to start this week.
Joe Jurevicius, WR, Cleveland BrownsSunday 10/14, 10:57 AM CT
Joe Jurevicius is active this week after being listed as questionable on the injury report.
L.J. Smith, TE, Philadelphia EaglesSunday 10/14, 10:53 AM CT

Laveranues Coles, WR, New York JetsSunday 10/14, 10:53 AM CT
Jets wide receiver Laveranues Coles is active and will start against Philadelphia. He was questionable with a knee injury.
Cleo Lemon, QB, Jacksonville JaguarsSunday 10/14, 10:50 AM CT
As expected, Cleo Lemon will start at quarterback for Miami with Trent Green inactive due to a concussion.
Ike Hilliard, WR, Tampa Bay BuccaneersSunday 10/14, 10:45 AM CT
Ike Hilliard is not among the players listed on the inactive list. There was some question as to whether he would play this week due to a shoulder injury.
Brian Kelly, CB, Detroit LionsSunday 10/14, 10:42 AM CT
Brian Kelly will not play in Sunday’s game against the Titans. His name appears on the inactive list due to a groin injury.
Brandon Jones, WR, Tennessee TitansSunday 10/14, 10:41 AM CT
Titans wide receiver Brandon Jones is inactive for Sunday’s game with the Bucks due to a knee injury. He had been listed as questionable on the injury report.
Jamal Lewis, RB, Cleveland BrownsSunday 10/14, 10:17 AM CT
Browns running back Jamal Lewis will not play on Sunday because of his sprained right foot, the AP reported. Jason Wright will make the start against Miami in his place.
Sammy Morris, RB, New England PatriotsSunday 10/14, 6:13 AM CT
Sammy Morris is seeking his third straight 100-yard game at Dallas Sunday, and according to the Boston Herald, he won't have Laurence Maroney in his way. The paper is reporting that Maroney (groin) will not dress against the Cowboys.
Laurence Maroney, RB, New England PatriotsSunday 10/14, 6:11 AM CT
Laurence Maroney will not play Sunday in Dallas, a source has told the Boston Herald. Maroney made the trip with the team, but will miss a third straight game with a groin injury. He had been considered a game-time decision. In any event, that green-lights Sammy Morris as a strong fantasy play for another week.
