Javon Walker, WR, Oakland RaidersThursday 10/18, 5:46 PM CT
Javon Walker will undergo surgery on Friday to repair issues with his right knee and is out for four weeks, the Denver Post reports. Walker has been out since Week 3 due to fluid and inflammation in his right knee. He practiced on Monday and Wednesday but apparently ran into more problems. "How quickly he comes back I'm not really sure," head coach Mike Shanahan says. "Doctors don't think it's very serious but serious enough to go in there and clean it out."
Andre Johnson, WR, Houston TexansThursday 10/18, 3:30 PM CT
Wide receiver Andre Johnson looks to be sidelined for at least another week-and probably two—with the knee injury he suffered in week two. "I wish I could say in a week or two I'll be back on the field, but I can’t say that," Johnson told the Houston Chronicle. "After I run for so long, it gets pretty weak. I'm still in that stage of getting my strength back. I'm still working on my range of motion." Johnson could return in week nine against the Raiders, or the Texans could opt to rest him through their week 10 bye to ensure a full recovery.
Vince Young, QB, Tennessee TitansThursday 10/18, 3:29 PM CT
Vince Young remains sidelined with a quad injury, and his availability may not be determined until game time on Sunday. “He threw the ball a little today,” Titans coach Jeff Fisher told the team’s official web site following Thursday’s practice. “He didn’t run around and test the leg out, but he threw the ball. He’s improving. The treatment procedures and everything are helping out. We’ll see how he is tomorrow. There’s a chance he could practice tomorrow. We just have to wait and see. It’s day-to-day and we will make a decision later on in the week. It could be as late as game time, whether or not he’ll play.”
Tab Perry, WR, Miami DolphinsThursday 10/18, 3:28 PM CT
Wide receiver Tab Perry had hip surgery and was placed on injured reserve, prematurely ending his season for the second consecutive year. “It never seemed to come around and we needed the spot, so we made the move,” Bengals coach Marvin Lewis told the Cincinnati Enquirer. “He spoke to [another doctor] and they said, ‘Why don’t we try this now and maybe we can fix you for good?’ I think he chose to take that route because he was having some discomfort. If all goes well, Tab should come back and be able to play football.”
Jamal Lewis, RB, Cleveland BrownsThursday 10/18, 3:27 PM CT
Jamal Lewis should be fine to return from his foot injury after the Browns’ bye in week seven. “It’s nothing serious, just something that needed a little time,” Lewis told the Cleveland Plain Dealer. “The bye gives me two weeks and that helps. If it was up to me, I probably would’ve played [against Miami in week six], but maybe I would’ve wound up missing more games. It could’ve gotten worse. But the doctors and trainers sat me down and said resting was the best thing to do.”
Ike Hilliard, WR, Tampa Bay BuccaneersThursday 10/18, 12:25 PM CT
Buccaneers receive Ike Hilliard practiced fully on Wednesday despite a shoulder injury. Fantasy owners can expect Hilliard to be on the field Sunday, and he should have a good game against a poor Lions secondary.
Jake Delhomme, QB, Carolina PanthersThursday 10/18, 12:11 PM CT
Panther quarterback Jake Delhomme underwent successful Tommy John surgery on right elbow, a procedure which took about 90 minutes, according to the Charlotte Observer. Delhommme is out for the rest of this season, but he is expected to make a fully recovery for next year. While he’ll probably have to battle David Carr for the starting job, we doubt Vinny Testaverde is in the team’s long-term plan.
Derek Hagan, WR, Thursday 10/18, 11:11 AM CT
Derek Hagan is hoping to step in and fill the shoes of departed wide receiver Chris Chambers. "I was playing behind Chris for a year and a half," Hagan told the South Florida Sun-Sentinel. "Now he's gone and now I've got to step in and fill that role. It's time to get going." Hagan and Ted Ginn are both expected to see an expanded role in the absence of Chambers.
Isaac Bruce, WR, San Francisco 49ersThursday 10/18, 11:06 AM CT
Rams wideout Isaac Bruce was limited in practice Wednesday as he battles back from a hamstring injury which has kept him out of the last two games, according to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch. Getting Bruce back would be a nice boost to the Rams offense, especially considering Drew Bennett is dealing with a hamstring injury of his own. Fantasy owners should look another direction, however, because Isaac may end up a game-time decision.
Anquan Boldin, WR, Arizona CardinalsThursday 10/18, 11:04 AM CT
Cardinal wideout Anquan Boldin returned to the practice field Wednesday and was able to participate fully. He also told the Arizona Republic that he felt fine afterwards. Boldin has missed the last three games with a hip injury. He picked a rough week to come back, as he’ll be dealing with a third-string quarterback and a very tough secondary. However, fantasy owners should still find him for him in their starting lineup.

Steven Jackson, RB, St. Louis RamsThursday 10/18, 10:12 AM CT
Injured Rams running back Steven Jackson took part in individual drills during Wednesday’s practice, but he was forced to wear a red "no-contact" jersey, according to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch. It was his first practice since tearing a groin muscle in Week 3. Jackson isn’t going to play this week, but it appears he might give it a go in Week 8. Of course, the team may take the cautious approach and rest him that Sunday too because the Rams have a bye in Week 9.

Koren Robinson, WR, Seattle SeahawksThursday 10/18, 9:53 AM CT
Koren Robinson deemed himself fit to play in the Week 8 game against the Packers. “I feel like I’m ready to go,” Robinson told the Green Bay Press-Gazette. “I’m in great shape, my conditioning and wind is up, my knee is healthy, I’m healthy. My weight’s down, I’m stronger, faster.” Robinson was reinstated on Wednesday after serving a one-year suspension for violating the league’s substance abuse policy.
Derrick Ward, RB, New York GiantsThursday 10/18, 9:49 AM CT
Derrick Ward was limited in practice on Wednesday as he continues to have issues with his sprained left ankle. The issue initially popped up in Week 3, and he has not missed a game since that time. "Trying to get over an ankle injury is hard because you don't get to rest it," Ward tells the New York Daily News. "I've got to manage it. We've got 10 games left. I'll be all right."
Brandon Jacobs, RB, New York GiantsThursday 10/18, 9:46 AM CT
Brandon Jacobs was limited in practice on Wednesday due to a sprained ankle suffered on Monday night. "It's just part of the game," Jacobs tells the New York Daily News. Josh McCown, QB, Carolina PanthersThursday 10/18, 9:16 AM CT

Michael Bush, RB, Oakland RaidersThursday 10/18, 9:13 AM CT
The Raiders have not yet cleared Michael Bush for practice, although he is eligible to return this week. He tells the Oakland Tribune that he no longer has any issues with his broken right leg that required multiple surgeries. "I'm still day-to-day, unless someone gets hurt," Bush says. "I knew that going into the season, so this isn't a surprise. It's out of my hands. I can't get down. I could be in a worse situation. If I don't play this year, I just look at it as I saved my body for another year of pounding." The rookie still has decent value in keeper leagues.

Eddie Kennison is listed as out for the Week 7 game in Oakland. He has a sore right hamstring that has caused him to miss all but a few plays this season. Samie Parker is starting in his place.
