Samari Rolle, CB, Baltimore RavensSaturday 11/3, 11:32 PM CT
Samari Rolle (illness) missed his second straight practice Saturday and isn't expected to play Monday at Pittsburgh, the Baltimore Sun reports. The Ravens will be working with a depleted secondary, as Chris McAlister is also expected to sit.
Todd Heap, TE, Baltimore RavensSaturday 11/3, 11:29 PM CT
Todd Heap (hamstring) was able to practice Saturday, though he's considered a game-time decision for Monday's game at Pittsburgh, the Baltimore Sun reports.
Corey Dillon, RB, Saturday 11/3, 11:11 PM CT
Corey Dillon is interested in re-joining the Patriots, his agent told the Boston Herald. "He would absolutely, positively be interested in coming back to play for the Patriots," agent Steven Feldman told the paper. "When Sammy Morris got injured, he kind of got an inkling, he got the idea something may happen down the road. So he started working out a couple weeks ago to get in shape so that if an opportunity presented itself, he'd be ready to take advantage of it." Dillon, 32, hasn't played since the end of last season. "Corey has had opportunities to join a number of teams, but he always told me the only team that he'd ever come back for, would be for the Patriots," Feldman added.
Alex Smith, TE, Tampa Bay BuccaneersSaturday 11/3, 8:55 AM CT
It looks like Alex Smith will do his best to return to action this weekend, according to the St. Petersburg Times. Smith has missed the past two games with an ankle injury and probably will end up a game-time call.
Troy Williamson, WR, Jacksonville JaguarsSaturday 11/3, 8:51 AM CT
The Vikings will play Sunday without Troy Williamson in the mix. He's going to be away from the team to plan and attend his grandmother's funeral, according to the St. Paul Pioneer Press. Despite averaging a solid 17.7 yards per catch this season, Williamson has only has nine receptions in seven games.
Shaun Alexander, RB, Saturday 11/3, 8:43 AM CT
Shaun Alexander will wear the cast over his broken wrist again this weekend. "Everybody has injuries, and mine is just a bummer," Alexander said, according to the Seattle Times. The good news is that if X-rays Monday look good, he might get to shed the cast. That should be good news for the former stud, who has only two touchdowns this season and is averaging a pedestrian 3.4 yards per carry.
Ben Watson, TE, New England PatriotsSaturday 11/3, 8:10 AM CT
Ben Watson did not take part in Friday's practice, according to the Boston Globe. Since he practiced some the previous two days, he might have skipped the session simply as a precaution. We won't know whether he'll return from his ankle injury until about an hour before Sunday's tilt against the Colts.
Rudi Johnson, RB, Detroit LionsSaturday 11/3, 7:43 AM CT
Rudi Johnson is expected to return to action on Sunday, though it's not clear if he or Kenny Watson will start, according to the Cincinnati Enquirer. Regardless, both Johnson and Watson will split the workload against the Bills, so it's possible neither will have a good fantasy day.
Rod Smith, WR, Denver BroncosSaturday 11/3, 7:36 AM CT
The Broncos ruled Rod Smith out for the rest of the season on Wednesday, according to the Denver Post. After determining that he wouldn't be over his hip surgery by the Nov. 14 deadline to be activated after spending the beginning of the season on the PUP list, they decided to place him on injured reserve. It's entirely possible that Smith will never play again, though he'll have until next year to prove otherwise.
John Lynch, S, Saturday 11/3, 7:29 AM CT
John Lynch is considered to be questionable for Sunday's game due to a neck stinger. "We'll get a chance to see him before the game, hit him a little bit and see how he feels," coach Mike Shanahan said, according to the Rocky Mountain News. That means we won't know until the inactives are released about an hour before game time whether Lynch will be in the mix.
Adimchinobe Echemandu, RB, Oakland RaidersSaturday 11/3, 7:23 AM CT
Adimchinobe Echemandu should be able to play through his sore hamstring on Sunday. "Adimchinobi looks fine, has looked fine," coach Gary Kubiak told the Houston Chronicle. Echemandu will have a reserve role, though, as Ahman Green is expected to return from his sore knee to start.
Ahman Green, RB, Houston TexansSaturday 11/3, 7:20 AM CT
Ahman Green is expected to be active Sunday after missing last week's game with a knee injury. "Ahman has had a good week of practice," coach Gary Kubiak said, according to the Houston Chronicle. "He's ready to go." The Texans might have Green, Adimchinobi Echemandu and Ron Dayne active for the game, which could limit Green's overall production.
Andre Johnson, WR, Houston TexansSaturday 11/3, 7:16 AM CT
The Texans have decided against bringing Andre Johnson back for this weekend's game against the Raiders. Instead, the club expects him to return after their Week 10 bye, according to the Houston Chronicle. Johnson has been out with a knee injury, and the Texans want to give him some extra time to heal before putting him back into games action.
Trent Edwards, QB, Buffalo BillsSaturday 11/3, 7:09 AM CT
Trent Edwards could miss Sunday's game with a wrist injury. His status for Sunday won't be determined until close to game time, according to the Buffalo News. It doesn't matter a whole lot in fantasy terms, because J.P. Losman is starting for the Bills. The only question is whether Edwards will be active as a backup.
Chris Brown, RB, Houston TexansSaturday 11/3, 6:56 AM CT
Chris Brown again missed practice on Friday. Coach Jeff Fisher said that Brown will be a game-time call on Sunday, though, according to the Tennessean. It doesn't appear likely that he will suit up, unless LenDale White can't play though his toe injury, but we'll have to wait and see. With rookie Chris Henry facing a suspension, too, the Titans' backfield is in a real state of flux.
Chris Henry, RB, Tennessee TitansSaturday 11/3, 6:51 AM CT
Chris Henry is facing a four-game suspension for violating the NFL's steroids and related substance policy. The substance is not performance enhancing and was recently added to the league's banned list, a source told the Tennessean. The same source said Henry took a prescription medication that contained a component that is included on the list. He'll officially be notified Saturday and will then have five days to appeal the suspension. Assuming he appeals, he'll be able to play on Sunday. That's important because Chris Brown probably is out with an injury, and starter LenDale White is nursing a sore toe.
