Chad Johnson, WR, Cincinnati BengalsSunday 11/4, 11:53 PM CT
Chad Johnson, who was carried off the field on a stretcher on Sunday, underwent a CAT scan at the hospital after the game, according to the AP. The results came back negative. Coach Marvin Lewis said Johnson had movement in all his extremities. This is good news, although we may not know his status until later this week.
Larry Johnson, RB, Kansas City ChiefsSunday 11/4, 11:50 PM CT
Larry Johnson, who left Sunday's contest with an ankle injury, is scheduled to be re-examined on Monday, according to the AP. "Larry Johnson has a right foot injury and it's being X-rayed," coach Herman Edwards said. "We don't know the extent of it." We'll pass along the details as we get them, but if Johnson is forced to miss any time, Priest Holmes could step in as the featured back.
Michael Robinson, RB, San Francisco 49ersSunday 11/4, 5:08 PM CT
With Frank Gore sidelined, Michael Robinson got the bulk of the work for the 49ers Sunday, carrying 17 times for 67 yards. Maurice Hicks carried just seven times on the day. It's unclear if Gore will be forced to miss any more time, but Robinson is worth a pickup this week just in case.
Greg Jennings, WR, Green Bay PackersSunday 11/4, 4:55 PM CT
Brett Favre continued to rely heavily on Greg Jennings Sunday, as the two connected on three passes for 85 yards and two scores. Jennings has collected 80-plus yards in four of the last six games, and he's found the end zone six times in the last six weeks.
Lee Evans, WR, Buffalo BillsSunday 11/4, 4:13 PM CT
With J.P. Losman under center, Lee Evans had a field day against the putrid Bengals pass defense, collecting nine balls for 165 yards and a score. Evans tallied 113 receiving yards through the first five games of the season, and he's compiled 401 yards in three games since then. Those who bought low on Evans early in the year are now reaping the benefits.
Drew Brees, QB, New Orleans SaintsSunday 11/4, 4:09 PM CT
Drew Brees continued his fine playing on Sunday against Jacksonville, completing 35-of-49 passes for 445 yards and three touchdowns. After throwing just one TD pass in the first four games of the season, Brees has tossed 11 touchdowns in the last four. It appears safe to consider him a top 5 QB the rest of the way.
Earnest Graham, RB, Tampa Bay BuccaneersSunday 11/4, 4:05 PM CT
Earnest Graham was a workhorse for the Bucs on Sunday, carrying 34 times for 124 yards and a touchdown. He didn't run that well, averaging just 3.6 YPC, but it's clear that Tampa intends to lean heavily on him the rest of the way.
Clinton Portis, RB, Washington RedskinsSunday 11/4, 3:52 PM CT
Clinton Portis put together his first 100-yard rushing effort of the year on Sunday against the Jets, running for 196 yards and a touchdown on 36 carries. Portis had not tallied more than 72 rushing yards since Week 1, so this performance is a relief for owners who had begun souring on the tailback. He's currently on pace for 1,259 rushing yards and 12 TDs.
Marshawn Lynch, RB, Buffalo BillsSunday 11/4, 3:47 PM CT
Adrian Peterson wasn't the only rookie who had a big Sunday, as Marshawn Lynch had his first 100-yard rushing performance of his career, scampering for 153 yards and a score on 29 carries (5.3 YPC). Lynch has been one of the few bright spots in Buffalo this year, and he's establishing himself as a borderline No. 1 fantasy back.
Adrian Peterson, RB, Minnesota VikingsSunday 11/4, 3:38 PM CT
Just how good is Adrian Peterson? Against a Chargers defense that entered Sunday allowing just 3.6 yards per carry, AD rushed for an NFL-record 296 yards and three touchdowns. The previous record of 295 yards in a game was held by Jamal Lewis. Peterson has to be considered a top 5 fantasy running back the rest of the way, and we should start to hear talk of him being the first running back selected in drafts next season.
David Carr, QB, New York GiantsSunday 11/4, 3:30 PM CT
David Carr left Sunday's contest against Tampa Bay with an undisclosed injury. He left with three minutes left to play in the game. The severity of the injury is unclear at this time.
Chad Johnson, WR, Cincinnati BengalsSunday 11/4, 3:08 PM CT
Chad Johnson was carted off the field on the stretcher Sunday. It's unclear what the injury is, but he was hit hard by two defenders as he went for a pass across the middle. We'll keep you informed.
Larry Johnson, RB, Kansas City ChiefsSunday 11/4, 2:50 PM CT
Chiefs running back Larry Johnson needed assistance from trainers to leave the field when he injured his right ankle. Johnson could not put any pressure on the ankle after taking a hit in the fourth quarter.
Ronald Curry, WR, Oakland RaidersSunday 11/4, 2:46 PM CT
As expected, Ronald Curry is active for Sunday's game against Houston. He was limited in practice earlier in the week due to a foot injury.
Owen Daniels, TE, Houston TexansSunday 11/4, 2:32 PM CT
Owen Daniels is active for the Texans Sunday despite dealing with a high ankle sprain. The ankle injury could limit him somewhat, so he's not a great play against Oakland.
Ahman Green, RB, Houston TexansSunday 11/4, 2:27 PM CT
Ahman Green is active for Sunday's tilt against the Raiders. He missed last week's game with a knee injury. Green will start, but don't be surprised if the Texans limit his workload.
Marvin Harrison, WR, Indianapolis ColtsSunday 11/4, 2:19 PM CT
Wide receiver Marvin Harrison has been listed as inactive for today’s game against the Patriots. Harrison has been battling knee issues for weeks, so Anthony Gonzalez will get the start opposite Reggie Wayne.
Nick Collins, S, Green Bay PackersSunday 11/4, 2:19 PM CT
Nick Collins injured his left knee while making a tackle midway through the third quarter Sunday against the Chiefs. He had be helped off the field, and it appears unlikely he'll return.
Deion Branch, WR, Seattle SeahawksSunday 11/4, 2:18 PM CT
Seahawks wideout Deion Branch is inactive for Week 9 because of the foot injury which has kept him out of the last couple games. D.J. Hackett and Bobby Engram will get the start against the Browns, who have a terrible secondary.
Ben Watson, TE, New England PatriotsSunday 11/4, 2:15 PM CT
Ben Watson is active and listed as the starting tight end for the Patriots on Sunday. He missed the Patriots two previous games with an ankle injury. Watson scored five touchdowns in five games before leaving early in Week 6 with the aforementioned injury. In other words, he should be put back in your lineup immediately.
Quentin Jammer, CB, San Diego ChargersSunday 11/4, 1:54 PM CT
Quentin Jammer left Sunday's game in the second quarter with a pulled hamstring. He's been ruled out the rest of the game. Jammer suffered a right hamstring injury in Week 8, but it's unclear if this injury is to the same leg.
Tarvaris Jackson, QB, Minnesota VikingsSunday 11/4, 1:36 PM CT
Vikings quarterback Tarvaris Jackson was injured after being tackled on a first down scramble. He took a hit to his upper back/neck region and lay on the field with his right arm held frozen in the air. He was helped carted off of the field, but was standing under his own power. Brooks Bollinger entered the game to replace him.
Quinn Gray, QB, Kansas City ChiefsSunday 11/4, 1:12 PM CT
Jags quarterback Quinn Gray was hit hard on an incomplete pass, and was carried off of the field by trainers. Todd Bouman was warming up on the sideline, and will enter the game if Gray is unable to return.
Chris Naeole, G, Jacksonville JaguarsSunday 11/4, 1:04 PM CT
Chris Naeole was helped off the field in the first quarter Sunday with a sprained left knee. He could not put any pressure on the knee, and he's not expected to return. Vince Manuwai replaced Naeole.
Jay Cutler, QB, Denver BroncosSunday 11/4, 12:54 PM CT
Jay Cutler was carted to the locker room with an undisclosed lower body injury. He was injured while being sacked by Shaun Rogers in the second quarter. Patrick Ramsey replaced Cutler in the lineup.
J.P. Losman, QB, Buffalo BillsSunday 11/4, 11:19 AM CT
As expected, Trent Edwards will not play on Sunday and J.P. Losman will be the Bills starting quarterback. Edwards will serve as the team's emergency quarterback as he continues to nurse a wrist injury suffered during the Week 8 win over the Jets. Losman is a sneaky play against an awful Cincinnati pass defense.
LenDale White, RB, Tennessee TitansSunday 11/4, 11:15 AM CT
Titans running back LenDale White is active for Week 9 despite the toe ailment which had him listed as probable on the Friday injury report. White is fine and should be in your starting lineup this week against the Panthers.
Frank Gore, RB, San Francisco 49ersSunday 11/4, 11:11 AM CT
49ers running back Frank Gore is out for Week 9 because of the ankle injury which he aggravated last week. He was questionable on the team's Friday injury report and limited in practice all week. Michael Robinson and Maurice Hicks will both see carries this week against the Falcons, but neither makes a good fantasy play because of the 49ers offensive ineptitude. Robinson was the team's goal line back for a few weeks last season and would probably get those carries this week with Gore out.
Ike Hilliard, WR, Tampa Bay BuccaneersSunday 11/4, 11:07 AM CT
Ike Hilliard is active and will start on Sunday against the Cardinals. Hilliard was questionable with a calf injury and was limited in practice all week, but he'll obviously give it a go on Sunday. The Cards have been surprisingly good defensively this year, but feel free to start Ike if you usually would.
Antoine Winfield, CB, Minnesota VikingsSunday 11/4, 11:00 AM CT
Antoine Winfield is inactive for Sunday’s game against the Chargers. He has been nursing a hamstring injury.
Chris Brown, RB, Houston TexansSunday 11/4, 11:00 AM CT
Chris Brown will not suit up on Sunday for the Titans. He is officially listed as inactive due to a left ankle injury. LenDale White will once again take the vast majority of the hand-offs for the Titans on Sunday against the Panthers.
Calvin Johnson, WR, Detroit LionsSunday 11/4, 10:59 AM CT
Calvin Johnson is listed as active for the Lions as they take on the Broncos on Sunday. Johnson has been suffering from a nagging back injury suffered in Week 3. After sitting out Week 4, he has just five catches for 84 yards in the last three games. Facing a tough Broncos secondary, Megatron would look nice on your fantasy bench this week.
Laveranues Coles, WR, New York JetsSunday 11/4, 10:55 AM CT
Laveranues Coles has been ruled out of Sunday's matchup with the Redskins. He missed practice all week after suffering a concussion in Week 8. Justin McCareins is expected to start in his place.
Travis Henry, RB, Sunday 11/4, 10:51 AM CT
Travis Henry is active and in the starting lineup for the Broncos as they take on the Lions in Detroit. He missed Week 8 with bruised ribs, and there's a chance Selvin Young is still worked into the mix, but Henry represents a great play against a suspect Lions defense.
