J.P. Losman, QB, Buffalo BillsTuesday 11/6, 11:08 PM CT
J.P. Losman will start again in Week 10 against Miami, Dick Jauron announced Tuesday. Losman is coming off his best game of the year against Cincinnati (24-of-35, 295 yards, one touchdown, one interception), so it's no surprise that he got the call here. He also ran for 21 yards against the Bengals.
Adam Jones, CB, Dallas CowboysTuesday 11/6, 10:04 PM CT
Pacman Jones will not have his year-long suspension reduced, the Nashville Tennessean reports. The league confirmed the news in a statement Tuesday; as a result, Jones will not be back in uniform until 2008 at the earliest.
Koy Detmer, QB, Tuesday 11/6, 10:02 PM CT

Larry Johnson, RB, Kansas City ChiefsTuesday 11/6, 9:54 PM CT
Fox 31 out of Denver is reporting that Larry Johnson will miss the rest of the season with a broken foot. The Chiefs aren't confirming this as of Tuesday night. We'll see what the team learns on Johnson Wednesday, though this much is known - LJ isn't expected to play this week against Denver, at minimum, which means Priest Holmes and Kolby Smith get a major spike in value.
Larry Johnson, RB, Kansas City ChiefsTuesday 11/6, 1:33 PM CT
Larry Johnson will likely be out when the club hosts the Broncos in Week 10. “It will be difficult for him to play this week,” head coach Herm Edwards tells the Kansas City Star. Johnson suffered a right mid-foot sprain on Sunday. Priest Holmes will likely start in his place, but he may split time with Kolby Smith.
Michael Pittman, RB, Denver BroncosTuesday 11/6, 12:58 PM CT
The Buccaneers expect running back Michael Pittman to return from his ankle injury when the team comes back from their Week 10 bye. Head coach Jon Gruden is expected Pittman to be a key contributor right away. "Pittman has always been a big part of our offense," Gruden told the St. Petersburg Times. "He's a great receiver. He's one of the great third-down backs in football, I believe. He allows us to move formations. He's a joker. He's a guy who can line up in any eligible position and function, and he's just going to supplement what we're doing and give us a good runner and excellent receiver and certainly a good pass protector."
Steven Jackson, RB, St. Louis RamsTuesday 11/6, 12:52 PM CT
Rams head coach Scott Linehan told the St. Louis Post-Dispatch that he expects running back Steven Jackson to play Sunday against the Saints. Jackson left the team’s last game early with a back injury. He also missed a large chuck of the season with a groin ailment. The Saints defense won’t remind anyone of the 1985 Bears, but Jackson will be returning against a unit which hasn’t allowed a 100-yard rusher since Week 1.
Shaun Alexander, RB, Tuesday 11/6, 12:40 PM CT
Seahawks running back Shaun Alexander isn’t expected to practice much this week due to his knee and ankle injuries, according to the Tacoma News Tribune. It will be interesting to see if Alexander participates in a fully practice before Monday’s game. If he doesn’t, he may be a game-time decision.
Justin Smiley, G, Miami DolphinsTuesday 11/6, 12:28 PM CT
49ers guard Justin Smiley will likely need surgery to fix his separated shoulder, which would end his season, according to the San Francisco Chronicle. He will be seeing the noted surgeon Dr. James Andrews to get confirmation. Losing Smiley would be another big blow to the 49ers offensive line, a unit which just lost Jonas Jennings for the season.
Jerious Norwood, RB, Atlanta FalconsTuesday 11/6, 12:10 PM CT
The Falcons didn’t have an update on running back Jerious Norwood’s right ankle injury on Monday, according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. He suffered the injury during the fourth quarter of Sunday’s game. We’ll know some more about the injury and Norwood’s status for Week 10 once the Falcons commence practicing on Wednesday.
Antoine Winfield, CB, Minnesota VikingsTuesday 11/6, 11:19 AM CT
Antoine Winfield hopes to return for Sunday’s game against the Packers after sitting out Week 9 with a hamstring injury. However, Winfield told the St. Paul Pioneer Press that he’s still “a little tight.”

Nathan Vasher, CB, Chicago BearsTuesday 11/6, 11:06 AM CT
Nathan Vasher ’s status for Sunday’s game against the Raiders is in question. “I haven’t gotten the green light quite yet,” Vasher told Tuesday’s Chicago Tribune. “We still have a whole week to prepare, but feeling pretty good.” Vasher has been sidelined by a groin injury since Week 3.

Luis Castillo, DE, San Diego ChargersTuesday 11/6, 9:30 AM CT

Josh McCown, QB, Carolina PanthersTuesday 11/6, 9:25 AM CT
Raiders head coach Lane Kiffin announced on Monday that Josh McCown is still his starting quarterback, the Oakland Tribune reports.
Priest Holmes, RB, Kansas City ChiefsTuesday 11/6, 9:21 AM CT
If the Chiefs are without Larry Johnson in Week 10, rookie running back Kolby Smith will be asked to help out potential starter Priest Holmes. “We’ve got to do it by committee a little bit,” head coach Herm Edwards tells the Kansas City Star. “I don’t see Priest carrying the ball more than 15 times. Kolby’s going to have to carry it some. He’s played more football this year, counting the preseason, than Priest has. You don’t want to wear Priest out.”
