Kyle Boller, QB, Baltimore RavensWednesday 11/14, 9:27 PM CT
Quarterback Kyle Boller will start at least the next two or three weeks as Steve McNair nurses a sore shoulder, but coach Brian Billick did not dismiss the idea of staying with Boller the rest of the season. "Sure, that's a very good possibility," Billick said. "It has to do with Steven's strength as well as how we're going as a team."
Alex Smith, QB, San Francisco 49ersWednesday 11/14, 8:56 PM CT
49ers quarterback Alex Smith admitted to media members that his recently separated right shoulder and strained forearm have had a great deal to do with his poor play in the last three games. He even went so far to wonder aloud to the same media members if he should take a prolonged break and prepare his body for 2008.

The bruised and battered Indianapolis Colts held out wide receivers Marvin Harrison and Anthony Gonzalez from practice on Wednesday. Antonio Pierce, LB, New York GiantsWednesday 11/14, 8:40 PM CT
Giants linebacker Antonio Pierce sat out of Wednesday’s practice due to the concussion he suffered during Sunday’s loss to the Cowboys. Pierce has had a headache all week, but according to coach Tom Coughlin, “feels pretty good today.” If Pierce is unable to go this weekend Chase Blackburn will start in his place.
Brandon Lloyd, WR, Chicago BearsWednesday 11/14, 8:32 PM CT
Receiver Brandon Lloyd has a broken collarbone and will miss at least the next six weeks because of the injury. Lloyd was injured on the last play in practice on Wednesday, when he caught a ball in the end zone, there were no other players involved in the play.
Daunte Culpepper, QB, Detroit LionsWednesday 11/14, 8:27 PM CT
Quarterback Daunte Culpepper will start on Sunday against his former team, the Minnesota Vikings. The start comes to Culpepper by way of the benching of one Josh McCown, who has been battling a thigh injury and playing poorly since returning from a broken toe.
Byron Leftwich, QB, Pittsburgh SteelersWednesday 11/14, 4:16 PM CT
Byron Leftwich returned to practice on Wednesday for the first time since he suffered an ankle injury three weeks ago. In related news, head coach Bobby Petrino told the AP that Leftwich would start ahead of Joey Harrington once he’s fully recovered.

Dwight Freeney, DE, Indianapolis ColtsWednesday 11/14, 3:45 PM CT
Dwight Freeney's season is officially over, as the Colts placed on IR Wednesday with a left foot injury. He's expected to undergo surgery late this week or early next, according to the AP. "Dwight is a player you cannot replace," former Pro Bowl safety Bob Sanders said. "But we'll continue to move on, continue to get better. We'll put new guys in and continue to roll. That's what Dwight would want us to do."
David Garrard, QB, Jacksonville JaguarsWednesday 11/14, 3:38 PM CT
David Garrard has missed the last three games with a high ankle sprain, but he's expected to start this weekend against the Chargers, according to the AP. "We think we're going to have David," coach Jack Del Rio said. "Barring any setbacks, we expect him being our quarterback on Sunday."
Marshawn Lynch, RB, Buffalo BillsWednesday 11/14, 2:45 PM CT
Marshawn Lynch missed practice Wednesday due to his ankle injury, and coach Dick Jauron is not optimistic about the rookie playing on Sunday night against New England, according to the team's official site. It's very sore right now," said Jauron. "I would say we're not overly optimistic. We'll just kind of go through the week and see what happens, but we're not optimistic about it." In fact, the Buffalo News has even reported that Lynch coud miss multiple weeks. If Lynch is in fact unable to go this weekend, Anthony Thomas figures to carry the bulk of the load, while rookie Dwayne Wright could figure into the mix, as well.
Isaac Bruce, WR, San Francisco 49ersWednesday 11/14, 1:47 PM CT
The hamstring injury Isaac Bruce suffered in Week 10 could sideline the receiver for another game, and possibly two, according to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch. Assuming Bruce is unable to suit up this weekend against the 49ers, Drew Bennett will start opposite Torry Holt.
Ricky Williams, RB, Miami DolphinsWednesday 11/14, 1:08 PM CT
The NFL has reinstated Ricky Williams, who has not played in the league since the 2005 season because of a suspension for numerous violations of the league's drug policy, according to the Sports Network. "Ricky Williams was notified this morning by Commissioner Goodell that he has been reinstated as an NFL player," the NFL said in a statement. "Williams can begin attending team meetings and practicing immediately, but will not be eligible to play in games until Week 12 when the Dolphins play at Pittsburgh (Monday night, November 26). The Dolphins will receive a roster exemption for Williams for up to two weeks when he begins practicing, starting no later than Monday." It remains to be seen if the Dolphins will welcome Williams back, and even if they do, it's unlikely he'll have much fantasy value the rest of the way.

John Beck, QB, Miami DolphinsWednesday 11/14, 9:09 AM CT
Rookie John Beck will make his NFL debut for the Dolphins as the starting quarterback on Sunday. Two sources told the Miami Herald Beck will get the nod over Cleo Lemon in a move that is expected to be made official later on Wednesday. Beck has reportedly been less than impressive in practice, but they have little reason not to throw the second-round draft pick into the fire and see how he reacts. Needless to say, Beck should not be anywhere near your fantasy lineup.
Brad Cieslak, TE, Wednesday 11/14, 9:05 AM CT
The Bills re-signed tight end Brad Cieslak on Tuesday, according to the team’s official website. The team lost rookie Derek Schouman to injured reserve last week and depth option Matt Murphy sufferd a torn calf muscle late last week as well, so Cieslak – who has been with the off and on for the last two years – may see some action in the backup fullback/h-back role behind starter Ryan Neufeld.
