Michael Vick, QB, Monday 11/19, 8:10 PM CT
Former Falcons quarterback Michael Vick surrendered to U.S. Marshalls and began serving his prison time three weeks before his December 10 sentencing. Vick pleaded guilty to federal dog-fighting conspiracy charges in August, and has worked out a deal to voluntarily enter custody prior to sentencing.
Mathias Kiwanuka, DE, New York GiantsMonday 11/19, 7:44 PM CT
Giants linebacker Mathias Kiwanuka had surgery on his broken left fibula, and is most likely lost for the season. Reggie Torbor will replace Kiwanuka in most first and second down situations.
Brandon Jacobs, RB, New York GiantsMonday 11/19, 7:11 PM CT
Brandon Jacobs has a pulled left hamstring that will leave him doubtful for next Sunday’s game against the Vikings. Jacobs pulled up lame against the Lions this weekend, and did not return to the game. Reuben Droughns will pick up most of the carries next weekend, and Ahmad Bradshaw should get some work as well.
Javon Walker, WR, Oakland RaidersMonday 11/19, 6:40 PM CT
Wide receiver Javon Walker will miss yet another game with his knee injury. Walker was hopeful to return to the field for the Monday night contest, but he will have to attempt his return against the Bears next weekend.
Travis Henry, RB, Monday 11/19, 6:37 PM CT
Broncos running back Travis Henry has been listed as inactive for tonight’s matchup with the Titans. Rookie Selvin Young will take the bulk of the carries in Henry’s absence.
Adrian Peterson, RB, Minnesota VikingsMonday 11/19, 2:18 PM CT
Adrian Peterson is considered a long shot to play on Sunday against the Giants. Head coach Brad Childress told the Minneapolis Star Tribune that he believes Peterson will need at least another week to recover from a knee injury.
Donovan McNabb, QB, Philadelphia EaglesMonday 11/19, 2:03 PM CT
Donovan McNabb is day-to-day due to an injured right ankle and right thumb. An MRI showed swelling in the ankle, and exams confirmed no breaks in the thumb. "I'm as worried about the thumb as I am about the ankle, maybe a little bit more because that's what he's gripping the football with," head coach Andy Reid tells the team's official web site. "Both of them are day-to-day situations." If McNabb can't go in Week 12, A.J. Feeley will likely start. Either way, fantasy owners should plan on using a different quarterback, as the Eagles visit the Patriots.
Adrian Peterson, RB, Minnesota VikingsMonday 11/19, 7:48 AM CT
Adrian Peterson plans to test his injured knee by running on Monday. "I'm going to take it one day at a time," he told the St. Paul Pioneer Press. "I'm not going to rush anything." There's a slim chance that he will be back on the field in Week 12, but you can safely expect the Vikings to err on the side of caution with their star rookie.
Matt Hasselbeck, QB, Seattle SeahawksMonday 11/19, 7:39 AM CT
Matt Hasselbeck came away from Sunday's game with an injury sustained in the second quarter. The exact nature of the injury wasn't clear, as coach Mike Holmgren said it was Hasselbeck's ribs, but the quarterback didn't deny it was his troublesome oblique muscle, according to the Seattle Times. "Matt is going to be very sore," Holmgren added. His status will be worth monitoring all week to make sure he's able to go in Week 12.
Ryan Grant, RB, Green Bay PackersMonday 11/19, 7:33 AM CT
Ryan Grant exited Sunday's game in the fourth quarter due to a mild ankle sprain, according to the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel. "I should be fine by Thursday," Grant said. "It might stiffen up on me but I could jump on it, which is a good thing. I don't know (about missing practice). I doubt it, to be honest with you." As Grant pointed out, he'll have to make a quick turnaround, because the Packers face the Lions on Thanksgiving.
Steve Smith, WR, Carolina PanthersMonday 11/19, 7:27 AM CT
Steve Smith missed Sunday's game due to a bruised left shin. However, he has no broken bones in the area of the injury, according to the Charlotte Observer. That's good news, but it's not clear when Smith will return to game action.
Santonio Holmes, WR, Pittsburgh SteelersMonday 11/19, 7:10 AM CT
Santonio Holmes was unable to complete Sunday's game. He sprained his right ankle in the fourth quarter and did not return, according to the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette. We should know more about his status for Week 12 later today.
Laurence Maroney, RB, New England PatriotsMonday 11/19, 7:05 AM CT
Laurence Maroney exited Sunday night's game in the second quarter with a foot injury, according to the Boston Globe. He didn't return, though it wasn't clear how much that decision was based on the injury or the fact the Pats were already blowing out the Bills. Kevin Faulk also left the game early, so Heath Evans and Kyle Eckel took carries.
LaMont Jordan, RB, New England PatriotsMonday 11/19, 7:00 AM CT
LaMont Jordan was healthy enough to play Sunday but was inactive, as the Raiders dressed Justin Fargas, Dominic Rhodes and Justin Griffith in the backfield. "It was just a (coach's) decision," Lane Kiffin told the Contra Costa Times. "We had to pull up a special teams guy at the last minute, so we dressed (only) four running backs." Dressed or not, Jordan wasn't going to get on the field.
JaMarcus Russell, QB, Oakland RaidersMonday 11/19, 6:56 AM CT
Raiders coach Lane Kiffin rejected an ESPN report that JaMarcus Russell will start Dec. 2 against the Broncos, so long as Daunte Culpepper doesn't play so well that making a switch wouldn't make sense. "That's a premature report," Kiffin told the Contra Costa Times. "It's news to me, at least." Culpepper will start again in Week 12, regardless. Beyond that, time will tell if the Raiders will be ready to hand the controls over to the rookie.
T.J. Houshmandzadeh, WR, Cincinnati BengalsMonday 11/19, 6:15 AM CT
T.J. Houshmandzadeh was unable to complete Sunday's game. He left late in the fourth quarter with a hip injury and did not return, according to the Cincinnati Enquirer. There were no further details on his condition immediately after the game. If Houshmandzadeh were to miss Week 12, Chris Henry would make for a quality fantasy option.
Owen Daniels, TE, Houston TexansMonday 11/19, 6:04 AM CT
Owen Daniels sustained a broken nose on Sunday. "It shifted over to the right a little bit," Daniels said, according to the Houston Chronicle. "I came in here, and they popped it back to where it is supposed to be — almost straight. They bandaged me up nice and I was happy to get back in there. I'm hideous now. Good thing I have a girlfriend already." The injury didn't stop him from catching five passes for 74 yards, so it shouldn't keep him from playing in Week 12.
