Jeff Garcia, QB, Tampa Bay BuccaneersMonday 12/3, 7:35 PM CT
According to Bucs coach Jon Gruden, Jeff Garcia has no structural damage to his back, and will be back in the lineup as soon as he is medically cleared to play. Garcia suffered a deep back bruise in the Nov. 25 game against the Redskins, and sat out on Sunday against the Saints.
Steve McNair, QB, Baltimore RavensMonday 12/3, 7:35 PM CT
The Baltimore Ravens placed Steve McNair on injured reserve on Monday, and announced that McNair would be having surgery on his left shoulder on Tuesday. McNair appeared in six games this season, throwing only two touchdown passes and four interceptions.
Todd Heap, TE, Baltimore RavensMonday 12/3, 7:11 PM CT
Ravens tight end Todd Heap will be inactive for yet another game, as he will miss tonight's matchup with the Patriots. Heap has missed six of the last eight games with a hamstring injury.
Marshawn Lynch, RB, Buffalo BillsMonday 12/3, 1:56 PM CT
The Bills continue to report that Marshawn Lynch is ahead of schedule as he rehabilitates his injured ankle, but his status for Week 14 remains up in the air. "Marshawn has made a lot of progress and faster than we anticipated," head coach Dick Jauron told the Bills' official website. "We're hopeful [he can play on Sunday], but I don't want to overstep it right now." Lynch returned to practice last Friday, but was very limited and he won't really test the ankle again until Wednesday, at which point we'll know more about his status for Week 14.
Roy Williams, WR, Detroit LionsMonday 12/3, 1:37 PM CT
Roy Williams ’ season might be over due to a sprained PCL in his right knee. Head coach Rod Marinelli told the AP that Williams would miss “several weeks” with the injury he suffered during Sunday’s loss to the Vikings.
Lito Sheppard, CB, Philadelphia EaglesMonday 12/3, 8:19 AM CT
Lito Sheppard was unable to complete Sunday's game. Coach Andy Reid said that Sheppard "irritated his knee," according to the Philadelphia Inquirer. "It looks like it's structurally sound, but we'll have to see how that goes," Reid added. Sheppard has been battling a sprained knee for much of the season, so it's possible this setback could sideline him for Week 14.
Reggie Hayward, DE, Jacksonville JaguarsMonday 12/3, 7:52 AM CT
Reggie Hayward left Sunday's game in the first two minutes with a groin injury. "The groin is going to be fine," he said, according to the Florida Times-Union. "It's one of those things when you're going hard and your body can't keep up with your intensity." Hayward added that he hopes to play in Week 14, but we'll have to see if he can test it in practice first.
Derrick Ward, RB, New York GiantsMonday 12/3, 7:44 AM CT
Derrick Ward may be done for the season. He fractured his left fibula near his ankle during Sunday's game, according to the New York Daily News. "Mine isn't a complete break," Ward said. "Mine is a fracture, a little line." More will be known about his status after an MRI is taken Monday morning, but it sounds like he'll miss at least some action, regardless. Brandon Jacobs, who missed Sunday's game with his own injury, and Reuben Droughns remain the other RB options for the Giants.
Donnie Edwards, LB, Kansas City ChiefsMonday 12/3, 7:37 AM CT
A hamstring injury kept Donnie Edwards from playing in the second half Sunday. "You know me, I’m not the type of guy who misses plays," Edwards told the KC Star, "but if I can’t go, I can’t go. If you can’t run, you can’t play." Edwards literally doesn't miss plays, as he's started 149 consecutive games. He said he doesn't expect that streak to end this weekend, but that will depend on how well he recovers during the week.
Brodie Croyle, QB, Kansas City ChiefsMonday 12/3, 7:33 AM CT
Brodie Croyle said he intends to return to action Sunday after missing Week 13 due to a back injury. "There’s no doubt in my mind," he said, according to the KC Star. However, he also admitted that he would "have to get cleared. I have to pass all the stuff. Hopefully we’ll get cleared to go." Whether he's able to practice this week will be the best indicator as to whether he'll play this weekend.
Marvin Harrison, WR, Indianapolis ColtsMonday 12/3, 7:15 AM CT
Marvin Harrison missed his sixth straight game on Sunday, and there remains no timetable for his return. "When Marvin's back and our doctors feel like he can practice, play and have a good chance to play the next week, that's when he's going to play," coach Tony Dungy said, according to the Indianapolis Star. "If games were do-or-die, he'd be playing. We want to win these next four, but I don't think they'll be do-or-die games." Clearly, the Colts are just hoping that he will be ready for the playoffs and ideally see a little regular-season action to get his legs going.
Jesse Chatman, RB, New York JetsMonday 12/3, 7:05 AM CT
Jesse Chatman was unable to complete yesterday's game after aggravating his troublesome ankle injury. Several hours after the contest, he said the joint remained sore but that he planned to play through the pain in practice this week, according to the Miami Herald. It's nice that he's trying to push through the injury, but he's going to be a risky play until he's closer to full strength.
Selvin Young, RB, Denver BroncosMonday 12/3, 6:53 AM CT
Selvin Young started Sunday's game at running back over Travis Henry. However, Young was forced to exit the contest briefly early on when his knee struck a defender's helmet and for good later in the contest with an arm injury, according to the Rocky Mountain News. We'll have to wait to see how serious his injuries are and whether Travis Henry will begin serving a one-year suspension before assessing the Broncos' backfield for Week 14.
Fred Weary, C, Houston TexansMonday 12/3, 6:40 AM CT
Fred Weary will miss the remainder of the season. He sustained a broken leg on Sunday, according to the Houston Chronicle. The Texans were hit hard by injuries in the game, as they may also have lost Matt Schaub for the rest of their campaign. Rookie Kasey Studdard will replace Weary at center.
Matt Schaub, QB, Houston TexansMonday 12/3, 6:36 AM CT
Matt Schaub may have played his last game of the season on Sunday. He sustained a dislocated shoulder, and coach Gary Kubiak said there is only "a little hope" it is not a season-ending injury, according to the Houston Chronicle. Sage Rosenfels will be under center if Schaub is unable to play through his injury.
