Marc Bulger, QB, St. Louis RamsTuesday 12/4, 6:04 PM CT
Marc Bulger passed a neursopsych exam Tuesday and will be back on the practice field Wednesday. Unless he experiences some complications later in the week, he will start against Cincinnati this weekend, according to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch. Bulger has been out since suffering a concussion in the first quarter in Week 12.
Gus Frerotte, QB, Minnesota VikingsTuesday 12/4, 6:01 PM CT
Gus Frerotte suffered a sprained throwing shoulder and a partially torn labrum last Sunday and is expected to miss at least one week, according to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch. It appears that Marc Bulger will return this week, but if he gets injured the Rams with be forced to go with Brock Berlin at quarterback.
Travis Henry, RB, Tuesday 12/4, 5:56 PM CT
Travis Henry has won his appeal of a year-long suspension for a positive drug test. The running back tested positive for marijuana in early October, and the NFL announced their decision on the appeal Tuesday, more than two weeks after Henry had his appeal heard, according to Sports Network. Henry scored a pair of TDs this past week in his first game since Week 9. He had been inactive because of a knee injury.
Derrick Ward, RB, New York GiantsTuesday 12/4, 5:53 PM CT
Derrick Ward was placed on IR Tuesday after suffering a broken leg on Sunday, according to the Sports Network. The Giants signed rookie Danny Ware off the Jets' practice squad to replace Ward on the roster. Brandon Jacobs is expected to return from his hamstring injury this weekend, so barring a setback, he'll start against the Eagles.
Arnaz Battle, WR, San Francisco 49ersTuesday 12/4, 11:08 AM CT
49ers receiver Arnaz Battle suffered a sprained ankle in Week 13’s game with the Panthers and head coach Mike Nolan classified him to the San Francisco Chronicle as questionable for this Sunday. Losing Battle would be a big blow to the anemic 49ers offense, but it could result in more looks for tight end Vernon Davis.
Chris Redman, QB, Atlanta FalconsTuesday 12/4, 11:02 AM CT
Will the Falcons be using their third different starting quarterback this weekend? The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports that head coach Bobby Petrino declined to name a starting quarterback at his weekly press conference and the paper speculates that Chris Redman may be given a shot under center. The Falcons really have nothing to lose at this point, so it couldn’t hurt to give Redman a chance to follow up a strong fourth quarter in last week’s loss to the Rams, especially against a weak Saints secondary.
Jesse Chatman, RB, New York JetsTuesday 12/4, 10:49 AM CT
Cam Cameron didn't shed any light on the condition of running back Jesse Chatman's injured ankle on Monday, but the Palm Beach Post reports that Chatman is expected to play in Week 14 against the Bills. Chatman wouldn't be a bad play against a mediocre Bills defense under normal circumstances, but he has been unable to finish the last three games because of ankle and neck injuries, which makes him a risky fantasy option in Week 14. We'll find out more about his status when the Dolphins return to practice on Wednesday.
Kurt Warner, QB, Arizona CardinalsTuesday 12/4, 10:48 AM CT
The Cardinals will keep quarterback Kurt Warner in at the goal line from now on, according to the East Valley Tribune. He was often removed in those situations because the team feared he was more susceptible to fumbles with his injured elbow. No more cheap touchdowns for Tim Rattay. This news gives Warner a slight boost in fantasy value going forward.
Antoine Winfield, CB, Minnesota VikingsTuesday 12/4, 10:46 AM CT
Antoine Winfield plans to play on Sunday against the 49ers. He told KFAN radio that he is 100 percent certain that he will play after missing four of the last five games with a hamstring injury.
Anquan Boldin, WR, Arizona CardinalsTuesday 12/4, 10:43 AM CT
The Cardinals will decide on Tuesday or Wednesday how to proceed with Anquan Boldin’s latest injury, a dislocated toe, according to the East Valley Tribune. He suffered the injury in Sunday’s win over the Browns. Boldin also battled a hip injury earlier this season that cost him some games. There is a real chance the Cardinals shut Boldin down for the rest of the year if the pain is too great or there is a strong chance he could dislocate the toe again.
Larry Johnson, RB, Kansas City ChiefsTuesday 12/4, 9:02 AM CT
Larry Johnson has been ruled out of Week 14 due to a right foot injury, the Kansas City Star reports. Kolby Smith will start in his place. Johnson has not played since Week 9. The Chiefs travel to Denver this week.
Andre Hall, RB, Denver BroncosTuesday 12/4, 8:50 AM CT
Andre Hall should be back in action this week after missing last Sunday's game due to a high ankle sprain, but the club could be without Selvin Young, who suffered a right arm injury, the Rocky Mountain News reports.
Donovan McNabb, QB, Philadelphia EaglesTuesday 12/4, 8:42 AM CT
Donovan McNabb is expected to practice on Wednesday, the Philadelphia Inquirer reports. He has missed the last two games due to a sprained right ankle and sore right thumb. The Eagles host the Giants this Sunday.
Brandon Jacobs, RB, New York GiantsTuesday 12/4, 8:38 AM CT
Brandon Jacobs (hamstring) is expected to return to action this week, the New York Daily News reports. He has missed the last two games. The Giants visit the Eagles on Sunday.
