Ahman Green, RB, Houston TexansFriday 12/7, 8:30 PM CT
After missing more than half the season with a knee injury, the Houston Texans placed Ahman Green on injured reserve on Friday. Green gained 260 yards on 70 carries this season in portions of six games.
Erasmus James, DE, Washington RedskinsFriday 12/7, 8:24 PM CT
The Vikings suffered a second blow to their defensive line this week when they placed oft-injured defensive end Erasmus James on injured reserve with a torn ACL. James had just reclaimed his starting position last week, after being out for the last season and a half as he recovered from an ACL tear on the same knee. On Wednesday defensive end Ray Edwards was doled out a four-game suspension fro violating the league’s steroid policy. This leaves rookie Brian Robison and Jayme Mitchell to fill in at defensive end for the remainder of the regular season.
Jason Campbell, QB, Washington RedskinsFriday 12/7, 8:05 PM CT
The MRI on Jason Campbell’s dislocated kneecap showed that his injury would probably not require surgery, and the Redskins are not ruling out a return for their signal caller this season. The normal recovery time for this kind of injury is about four weeks, which would put his return at the very end of the year.
Laveranues Coles, WR, New York JetsFriday 12/7, 7:45 PM CT
The other injured receiver in the Big Apple is Laveranues Coles , who has been noticeable hobbled in the locker room and during practice this week with an injured left ankle. Coles is listed as questionable for this week’s game against the Browns.
Jerricho Cotchery, WR, New York JetsFriday 12/7, 7:34 PM CT

Marcus Stroud, DT, Buffalo BillsFriday 12/7, 7:26 PM CT
The Jacksonville Jaguars activated defensive tackle Marcus Stroud on Friday after missing the last four games for violating the league’s steroids and related substances policy.
Chris Hope, S, Tennessee TitansFriday 12/7, 7:12 PM CT
Titans safety Chris Hope will miss the rest of the season with a spinal cord injury that he suffered on Nov. 25 against the Bengals. Many remember Hope laying on the field face down with his left arm and leg twitching after a helmet-to-helmet collision with teammate Sean Conover. According to coach Jeff Fisher, Hope did not suffer a career ending injury, but will require rest and possible surgery in order for him to heal.
Marc Bulger, QB, St. Louis RamsFriday 12/7, 5:06 PM CT
Marc Bulger had a setback in his recovery from a concussion, and he's listed as questionable for Sunday's contest against the Bengals. However, two sources have told the St. Louis Post-Dispatch he won't play Sunday. "Marc had really what I thought were two very good practices Wednesday and Thursday, but that’s the objective part," coach Scott Linehan said. "I guess the subjective part is he didn’t feel really good after (Thursday) afternoon’s meetings. "Because of that, it puts some questions in my mind as to whether or not he should be cleared to play. . . .We’re not going to put a guy out on the field if there’s any doubt whatsoever when it comes to these kinds of injuries. Or any injuries." If Bulger does in fact sit on Sunday, Brock Berlin, who has yet to throw a pass in the NFL, will get the start. This could have a negative effect on receivers Torry Holt and Isaac Bruce.
Reggie Bush, RB, New Orleans SaintsFriday 12/7, 2:56 PM CT
Saints head coach Sean Payton has not ruled out playing Reggie Bush on Monday night despite confirming reports that the second-year running back has a torn posterior cruciate ligament in his left knee. “If you study the history of PCL injuries, I know they vary with each player, but it is an injury that you can come back from,” Payton told the New Orleans Times-Picayune. “We’ll see. We’ll monitor where he’s at. You know, I’m still hopeful for this weekend’s game.” Bush practiced on Thursday and experienced some soreness.

The Chiefs have named Brodie Croyle as their starting quarterback for Sunday's game against the Broncos, the Kansas City Star reports. Croyle missed Week 13 due to a sore back but has practiced the last two days. He's not worth using in fantasy leagues.

Charles Woodson, CB, Green Bay PackersFriday 12/7, 10:00 AM CT
Charles Woodson was limited in practice on Thursday by his ongoing toe problem. “He’s gone through his normal workouts, as far as what he does on the treadmill and those types of things,” head coach Mike McCarthy told the Green Bay Press-Gazette. “So there’s a lot of improvement there.” Woodson might resume a full workload on Friday.

The team signed former Bill Shaud Williams to replace Thomas on the roster, but Fred Jackson will remain the top backup to starter Marshawn Lynch.
