Jeremy Shockey, TE, New Orleans SaintsSunday 12/16, 10:05 PM CT
Jeremy Shockey suffered a fractured left fibula in Sunday night's game against the Redskins, the NBC telecast announced. He also injured his ankle and will need surgery.
Darren Sproles, RB, San Diego ChargersSunday 12/16, 7:08 PM CT
Predictably, LaDainian Tomlinson racked up 116 yards and two touchdowns Sunday but surprisingly did not lead the Chargers in rushing. Darren Sproles took that honor with 122 yards, while scoring two touchdowns of his own. The Chargers rolled all over the bumbling Lions in the first half. With the game in hand, they rested LT2 in the second half. Since Michael Turner left with an injury, they turned to Sproles, who ran wild. The Chargers clinched their division, so it's possible we'll see a lot more of Sproles down the stretch if they rest LT2 and Turner is sidelined.
Tony Romo, QB, Dallas CowboysSunday 12/16, 7:01 PM CT
Tony Romo had a brutal day Sunday. He began the game with six straight incompletions before injuring his throwing hand in the third quarter. He stayed in the game but finished the contest 13-for-36 for 214 yards, no touchdowns and three picks.
Justin Fargas, RB, Oakland RaidersSunday 12/16, 6:54 PM CT
Justin Fargas had to leave Sunday's game in the fourth quarter with an apparent knee injury. We should know more about the severity of the malady by Monday. Before exiting the game, Fargas ran for 89 yards and a touchdown on 26 carries, which put him over the 1,000-yard mark for the first time in his career.
Tom Brady, QB, New England PatriotsSunday 12/16, 4:27 PM CT
Someone finally came up with a game plan to slow Tom Brady down Sunday. No, it wasn't Jets coach Eric Mangini. It was Mother Nature. The awful conditions during the contest forced the Pats to focus on the run and limited their downfield passing. Brady completed 14 of his 27 pass attempts for just 140 yards, no scores and one interception. It's a tough hit for teams that rode Brady to the playoffs, but he should make it up to those who make it to Week 16, as the Pats face the now 1-13 Dolphins.
Larry Fitzgerald, WR, Arizona CardinalsSunday 12/16, 4:12 PM CT
Larry Fitzgerald was a game-time call due to his strained left groin Sunday, but he was in the starting lineup. He was held to just two catches for 27 yards but helped his fantasy owners out by scoring a touchdown. Fitz has played through the injury the past couple of weeks, so he should be able to next week, too.
Anquan Boldin, WR, Arizona CardinalsSunday 12/16, 4:09 PM CT
Anquan Boldin returned from his dislocated toe Sunday. He performed well, despite the injury, pulling in six passes for 83 yards. So long as his toe responds well to the workout over the next few days, he should be good to go in Week 16.
Matt Moore, QB, Carolina PanthersSunday 12/16, 3:54 PM CT
With Vinny Testaverde unable to play Sunday, rookie Matt Moore made his first career start. The fourth quarterback to take the reigns at the beginning of a game for the Panthers this season, Moore led his squad to a 13-10 win over the Seahawks. He completed 19-of-27 passes for 208 yards. Although he failed to score a touchdown, he avoided throwing any picks. Moore probably will get the nod again in Week 16, unless grampa Vinny feels up to the task.
Ray Lewis, LB, Baltimore RavensSunday 12/16, 3:43 PM CT
Eight-time Pro Bowl linebacker Ray Lewis was unable to finish Sunday's game. He was forced out in the third quarter with a broken left hand, according to the AP. You never want to count Lewis out, but his status for Week 16 will be in serious doubt. The Dolphins rubbed salt in his wound by picking up their first win of the season in his absence.
Kellen Clemens, QB, New York JetsSunday 12/16, 3:35 PM CT
Kellen Clemens was knocked out of Sunday's game after he was slammed into the ground during the first quarter. He sustained a rib injury and did not return to the game. Although former college quarterback Brad Smith came in for a couple of plays, it was Chad Pennington who ran the offense for the rest of the game. We should know more about the status of Clemens, whose lone pass was intercepted for a touchdown, for Week 16 on Monday.
Antonio Gates, TE, San Diego ChargersSunday 12/16, 2:09 PM CT
Antonio Gates (back) is active and will start on Sunday against the Lions.
Philip Rivers, QB, San Diego ChargersSunday 12/16, 2:08 PM CT
Philip Rivers (knee) is active and will start on Sunday against the Lions.
LaMont Jordan, RB, New England PatriotsSunday 12/16, 1:56 PM CT
LaMont Jordan is inactive for Sunday's game against the Colts. Dominic Rhodes is active and will be the backup to starter Justin Fargas.
Kenton Keith, RB, Indianapolis ColtsSunday 12/16, 1:54 PM CT
Kenton Keith (thumb) is active for Week 15 and will be the backup to Joseph Addai.
Vinny Testaverde, QB, Carolina PanthersSunday 12/16, 11:32 AM CT
Vinny Testaverde will not play in Sunday’s game against the Seahawks. He is listed as the emergency quarterback. Matt Moore will get the start.
Roddy White, WR, Atlanta FalconsSunday 12/16, 11:29 AM CT
Roddy White is active and will start on Sunday against the Buccaneers. He missed practice time with a knee injury.
Todd Heap, TE, Baltimore RavensSunday 12/16, 11:07 AM CT
Todd Heap (hamstring) is out again in Week 15. Daniel Wilcox and Quinn Sypniewski will continue to fill in for Heap, but neither active tight end has much value.
Anquan Boldin, WR, Arizona CardinalsSunday 12/16, 11:02 AM CT
Cardinals wide receivers Larry Fitzgerald (groin) and Anquan Boldin (toe) are both active for Week 15.
Ben Watson, TE, New England PatriotsSunday 12/16, 11:01 AM CT
The Patriots will be without Ben Watson for Sunday’s game against the Jets.
Ben Roethlisberger, QB, Pittsburgh SteelersSunday 12/16, 10:56 AM CT
Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger will start against Jacksonville despite being listed as questionable on the injury report.
