Matt Lepsis, T, Denver BroncosTuesday 1/1, 12:14 PM CT
Matt Lepsis has decided to retire. "It is time for me to move on," Lepsis tells the Denver Post. "I am completely sure this is the right thing to do." Lepsis, 33, started 133 games over the last 11 seasons, but he claims that his play slipped in 2007.
Max Starks, T, Pittsburgh SteelersTuesday 1/1, 11:12 AM CT
Max Starks will miss Saturday's Wild Card game against the Jaguars due to a knee injury. He was playing in place of injured starter Marvel Smith (back). The Steelers will now turn to Trai Essex, the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports.
Todd Collins, QB, Washington RedskinsTuesday 1/1, 11:06 AM CT
The Redskins will stick with Todd Collins for Saturday's Wild Card tilt in Seattle. Jason Campbell (knee) isn't ready to return to his starting gig. "We've still got quite a ways to go," head coach Joe Gibbs tells the Washington Post about Campbell. "I talked to director of sports medicine Bubba Tyer this morning and I think there's a long ways to go there still."
Derek Anderson, QB, Cleveland BrownsTuesday 1/1, 10:58 AM CT
Browns head coach Romeo Crennel says that Derek Anderson is currently his starting quarterback heading into 2008, but the club will also listen to offers for the restricted free agent. "If anybody's interested in him, we'll just have to see how it goes," Crennel tells the Cleveland Plain-Dealer. "Sometimes people can make you an offer and you can say, 'No, I think I'm going to stick with what I've got.' Sometimes they make you an offer and you say, 'Oooh!' So we'll see how it goes."
Vince Young, QB, Tennessee TitansTuesday 1/1, 12:41 AM CT
Vince Young, who suffered a right quadriceps injury last week, is listed as day-to-day, according to SportsTicker. "He was very excited about his play in the game and the win and his opportunity to play in a playoff game," Fisher said. "We haven't ruled him out. It will be a day-to-day thing." Young has already said he didn't think the injury would prevent him from playing this weekend, so we'd be surprised if he didn't suit up.
Craig Dahl, S, New York GiantsTuesday 1/1, 12:39 AM CT
The Giants placed Craig Dahl on IR Monday with a torn ACL. He played nine games (two starts) this season, recording 18 tackles.
