Deion Branch, WR, Seattle SeahawksThursday 1/3, 11:06 AM CT
Seahawks receiver Deion Branch was unable to practice Wednesday, according to the Seattle Times. He missed last week’s game with a calf injury. Things are not looking good for Branch and those in playoff fantasy leagues should be moving him down their cheat sheets.
Adam Carriker, DT, St. Louis RamsThursday 1/3, 10:45 AM CT
Rams defensive tackle Adam Carriker will undergo surgery to repair a torn labrum muscle in his shoulder. "It's a significant injury; you're looking at sixth months," coach Scott Linehan told the St. Louis Post-Dispatch. Carriker was the team’s first-round selection last April and had a solid season, especially since he was switched from defensive end to the interior of the line. He’ll miss plenty of offseason activities but should be ready for training camp.
Andre Davis, WR, Houston TexansThursday 1/3, 10:07 AM CT
Wide receiver Andre Davis, who capped the 2007 season with two kick return touchdowns in Week 17, is among 15 unrestricted free agents on the Houston Texans roster. "I know I put my all out there on the field, and I’ve done my part," Davis told the Houston Chronicle. "So now it’s the business side of it where [my agent is} going to be able to negotiate, and I can sit back and just hear what’s really going on and make a decision from there."
Koren Robinson, WR, Seattle SeahawksThursday 1/3, 10:04 AM CT
Koren Robinson could play a bigger role in the playoffs than he did during the regular season. “Certainly (Robinson) may warrant more time,” offensive coordinator Joe Philbin told the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel. “We’ll have to take a look at that. I think you can see on a weekly basis that he’s becoming more comfortable in our system and kind of getting his legs under him.”
James Thrash, WR, Washington RedskinsThursday 1/3, 9:53 AM CT
James Thrash did not practice on Wednesday and was wearing a walking cast around his sore ankle, the Washington Post reports.
Terrell Owens, WR, Dallas CowboysThursday 1/3, 9:43 AM CT
Terrell Owens did not practice on Wednesday, but he did shed the walking boot that protected his high left ankle sprain, the Fort Worth Star-Telegram reports.
Shaun OHara, C, New York GiantsThursday 1/3, 9:37 AM CT
Giants center Shaun O'Hara wasn't able to practice on Wednesday and may not be able to suit up on Sunday against the Bucs. He sprained an MCL in Week 17. Grey Ruegamer will start if O'Hara is out, the New York Post notes.
