Antonio Gates, TE, San Diego ChargersSunday 1/6, 5:00 PM CT
Antonio Gates was carted off the field left in the second quarter of Sunday's Wild Card game with a toe injury. His return is questionable.
Brandon Jacobs, RB, New York GiantsSunday 1/6, 4:58 PM CT
Brandon Jacobs had 50 totals yards and two scores (one rushing, one receiving) Sunday before leaving in the second half after he cramped up. He'll be fine for next week. It was Ahmad Bradshaw, not Reuben Droughns, that stepped in when Jacobs went down.
Ahmad Bradshaw, RB, New York GiantsSunday 1/6, 4:55 PM CT
Ahmad Bradshaw rushed for a team-high 66 yards on 17 carries in Sunday's Wild Card win over Tampa Bay. He received most of his carries in the second half when Brandon Jacobs was suffering from some cramping. Bradshaw is clearly now No. 2 on the depth chart and would be the one to step in should something happen to Jacobs.
Vince Young, QB, Tennessee TitansSunday 1/6, 3:33 PM CT
As expected, Vince Young is starting today versus the Chargers. Young has been dealing with a right quad injury.
Michael Vick, QB, Atlanta FalconsSunday 1/6, 2:12 PM CT
Michael Vick could get an earlier-than expected release from prison. The quarterback applied to join prison-monitored drug rehab program in Leavenworth, Kansas and has apparently been moved to the facility. It's possible he could be released at the program's conclusion in a year, according to SportsTicker. Last month Vick was sentenced to 23 months for his role in a dogfighting operation.
Tom Brady, QB, New England PatriotsSunday 1/6, 10:50 AM CT
Tom Brady rolled to his first MVP Award Saturday, receiving 49 of the 50 first-place votes from the Associated Press. Brett Favre received the other vote.
Vince Young, QB, Tennessee TitansSunday 1/6, 10:00 AM CT
It looks like Vince Young will give it a go for today's playoff game. "He'll play because he has to play," said ESPN's John Clayton this morning. Young is battling a quadriceps injury, and while he's expected to start, there's no guarantee he'll be able to complete the game.
John Henderson, DT, Jacksonville JaguarsSunday 1/6, 9:50 AM CT
John Henderson was carted off the field late in the first quarter Saturday due to a hamstring injury. He returned to action after missing one series, but it was clear he couldn't perform well enough to stay on the field, and he left for good after just a handful of plays. We'll have to wait for updates on his status for the Jaguars' next playoff game.
