Chris Harris, S, Carolina PanthersWednesday 2/13, 11:24 PM CT

Antwan Odom, DE, Cincinnati BengalsWednesday 2/13, 11:19 PM CT
The Tennessean reports that Antwan Odom, who is scheduled to become a unrestricted free agent on Feb. 29, told his agent Rich Rosa he wants to return to the team that drafted him. As of Wednesday, negotiations have been limited. The team has not commented on their level of interest in Odom. The defensive end could be in line for a big contract if he tests the free agent market.
Shaun Hill, QB, San Francisco 49ersWednesday 2/13, 9:30 PM CT
Shaun Hill, who underwent surgery on his right index finger the first week in January, was expected to require approximately six weeks of recovery time, according to The Press Democrat. The injury isn't considered serious but it did force him to miss the team's final game of the season. The backup quarterback is progressing well in his rehab. Hill is expected to compete with Alex Smith for the starting gig in the Mike Martz offense. The report noted that Hill should be ready to participate in the offseason program, minicamp and OTAs.
Alex Smith, QB, San Francisco 49ersWednesday 2/13, 9:21 PM CT
Alex Smith, who underwent shoulder surgery in December, is rehabbing and progressing well, according to The Press Democrat. Smith is expected to be at full strength for the beginning of organized team activities. Reports out of San Francisco believe that Smith and backup Shaun Hill will compete for the starting job next year. However, Hill will have to do more than just outperform Smith during Training Camp and the exhibition schedule - Smith will have to completely meltdown in the Mike Martz playbook.
Josh Booty, QB, Wednesday 2/13, 9:06 PM CT
Sportscaster Josh Booty, of Fox Sports, was arrested early Wednesday morning for DUI according to TMZ.com. Booty was so uncooperative according to the report he had to be tased. Los Angeles law enforcement told TMZ that Booty was taken to the Orange County Jail, booked, and proceeded to lose himself. O.C. Sheriff's spokesperson Jim Amormino, said that "Booty was belligerent and uncooperative." After being tased Booty reportedly hit the ground -- then his head on the floor -- creating a bloody gash. Booty's last gig in the NFL was with the Raiders in 2007.
Justin Fargas, RB, Oakland RaidersWednesday 2/13, 7:28 PM CT
According to Rototimes.com sources, Justin Fargas re-signed with the Oakland Raiders to remain with the club that he rushed for 1009 yards for in 2007. Details of the contract have not yet been confirmed. Fargas started the year as a backup to LaMont Jordan, but around mid-season he established himself as the team's lead back. It was thought that his performance might have priced him out of the Raiders pay scale, but apparently the two sides were able to come to a financial agreement that satisfied both parties. This could spell the end to Jordan's tenure in Oakland.
Cleo Lemon, QB, Jacksonville JaguarsWednesday 2/13, 6:29 PM CT
Cleo Lemon might have played his last game for the Dolphins, this according to a report in the Palm Beach Post. “[Lemon] emains open to all the possibilities, and Miami has sole, exclusive rights until Feb.29,” Lemon’s agent, J.R. Rickert told the Post. Of course, he also said that he hasn't had any contact of late with the team, and that silence might be telling. Lemon did a solid job in an untenable position last year filling in at QB, but with John Beck clearly the future in Miami, it doesn't appear that there really is a desire on the team's behalf to bring back a fumble prone QB like Lemon who certainly doesn't fit the Bill Parcells established pattern at QB.
Chad Johnson, WR, Cincinnati BengalsWednesday 2/13, 6:20 PM CT
Chad Johnson will not be going anywhere, even with reports circulating that he might be moved to the Redskins, according to a report in the Cincinnati Enquirer which quotes coach Marvin Lewis as saying the following: "No. 1, the guy has a contract through 2011, OK," Lewis said. "No one within the Bengals organization has ever spoken of or ever uttered anything about trading Chad Johnson, nor will he be traded." Looks like Ocho Cinco will have to keep it zipped and continue his productive ways in the orange and black, though we are certain we haven't heard the last from Johnson who seems to always want to make himself the center of attention.
Jeremy Shockey, TE, New Orleans SaintsWednesday 2/13, 6:04 PM CT
Jeremy Shockey will be the Giants stating TE next year, that is according to a report in Newsday. According to the report, Giants GM Jeremy Shockey said that Shockey "is our starting tight end." Shockey is still rehabbing his broken leg, and as a result there would likely be little value in trading him at this point even if the team wanted to. It certainly appears that Shockey will be the Giants starter next year with Kevin Boss serving as his backup.
Greg Jones, RB, Jacksonville JaguarsWednesday 2/13, 6:00 PM CT
Updating an earlier report, Greg Jones 5-year contract with the Jaguars is for $17.4 million making Jones he highest paid FB in league history according to ProFootballTalk. The deal also includes $3 million in incentives. Jones may not to anything to excite fantasy footballers, but he obviously plays a huge part in what Maurice Jones Drew and Fred Taylor are able to accomplish each week. This new deal won't lead to any more touches for Jones, but it locks in one of the league's best lead blockers for the Jaguars.
Brady Quinn, QB, Cleveland BrownsWednesday 2/13, 4:56 PM CT
Brady Quinn denied a report that he was involved in an altercation in which homophobic remarks were made according to a report on the AP. "At no time that night was I involved in a verbal or physical altercation, nor did I have any interaction with the police," Quinn said in a statement. "I want to be clear that I did not engage in any of the alleged conduct, nor did I make inappropriate comments to anyone. Any allegations to the contrary are either untrue or the result of misidentification." The Browns are 100% behind Quinn who was certainly present when the altercation occurred, but apparently the earlier allegations directed at him about his involvement in the events previously reported may be inaccurate.
Brady Quinn, QB, Cleveland BrownsWednesday 2/13, 1:23 PM CT
Brady Quinn was part of a rowdy group shouting insults at gay people outside of a Columbus bar on New Year’s Day, according to the Plain Dealer. A 9-1-1 call (made by Seth Harris) was received by the police department who investigated the incident. "Brady Quinn from the Browns was trying to cause a fight." Harris told the operator, "I just walked outside and he exchanged many profanities with me and called me a faggot, of course."
Kellen Winslow Jr., TE, Cleveland BrownsWednesday 2/13, 1:00 PM CT
Kellen Winslow Jr is concerned his career might be shortened by repeated surgeries on his right knee, according to the Plain Dealer. In the article, reporter Tony Grossi speculates that Winslow wants a new contract because of the problematic right knee, which has been operated on four times during his four-year career.
Matt Lepsis, T, Denver BroncosWednesday 2/13, 11:44 AM CT
Matt Lepsis, who retired on Dec. 31 after 11 NFL seasons, has been placed on the reserve/retired list by the Denver Broncos, according to the Denver Post. Lepsis had $9 million remaining on his contract, but a knee injury rendered him ineffective during the 2007 season.
Dunta Robinson, CB, Houston TexansWednesday 2/13, 11:25 AM CT
Dunta Robinson, who underwent surgery in November to repair knee ligament and hamstring injuries, could be out until November, according to the Houston Chronicle. Robinson is the best player in the Houston Texans’ defensive backfield, so look for the organization to focus on strengthening the secondary during free agency and the NFL draft.
Greg Jones, RB, Jacksonville JaguarsWednesday 2/13, 11:07 AM CT
Greg Jones has signed a 5-year contract with the Jacksonville Jaguars, according to jaguars.com, though no details of the actual deal have been announced. There are rumors circulating that this is a five-year deal for the fullback who clears the path for running backs Fred Taylor and Maurice Jones-Drew.
Kelley Washington, WR, New England PatriotsWednesday 2/13, 10:30 AM CT
Not surprisingly, the Patriots informed Kelley Washington that they have no intention of picking up his $4 million option bonus this spring. However, the team would like to bring him back with a smaller deal, according to the Boston Globe. Washington didn't catch a pass last year but is an excellent special teams player.
Anthony Fasano, TE, Miami DolphinsWednesday 2/13, 10:24 AM CT
Anthony Fasano had reconstructive shoulder surgery and is expected to need two more months of rehab. The tight end is expected to be ready for training camp, but his availability for minicamp is up in the air, according to the Star-Telegram.
Roger McIntosh, LB, Washington RedskinsWednesday 2/13, 10:19 AM CT
Roger Mcintosh, who underwent surgery in Dec. ’07 to repair the ACL and MCL in his left knee, may have a potential degenerative condition in both knees, according to the Washington Post. McIntosh will require 9-to-12 months to recover from the surgical procedure, and could be relegated to special teams duty while working his way back into the lineup.
Ladell Betts, RB, Washington RedskinsWednesday 2/13, 9:45 AM CT
Ladell Betts will be utilized solely as a backup to Clinton Portis in 2008, according to the Washington Post. Daniel Snyder and Vinny Cerrato reportedly gushed about Portis during interviews with potential head coaching prospects, while speaking of Betts as an offensive role player who is likely to resume kick returning duties in 2008.

Wahle was a second-round selection of the Packers in the 1998 supplemental draft, which coincidentally was the last year in Green Bay for former head coach Mike Holmgren. Now, as the Big Show is getting ready to let the curtain fall on his career in Seattle after the 2008 season, they could be reunited for another one-year stint together.
Bryant Young, DE, San Francisco 49ersWednesday 2/13, 12:06 AM CT
Bryant Young has announced his retirement after 14 sensational seasons in the league, according to The Press Democrat.
Derek Smith, LB, San Diego ChargersWednesday 2/13, 12:04 AM CT
The 49ers front office told team sources and The Press Democrat that they won't pay Derek Smith the $3.28 million salary he is scheduled to earn in 2008. Smith's role in the Mike Nolan defense was situational this season and the veteran will have to take a pay cut to remain with the team. The club is expected to talk with Smith's agent next week about his future.
