Flozell Adams, T, Dallas CowboysSaturday 2/16, 10:59 PM CT
According to Chicago Sports there is a chance that Cowboys Pro Bowl left tackle Flozell Adams will be changing teams this off-season. While teammate Marc Columbo publicly lobbied for the Cowboys to re-sign Adams just a week ago, the report suggests it might make sense for the Cowboys to just cut him loose. Adams will be 32 when training camp begins and while that is not over-the-hill for and offensive tackle, the Cowboys have been preparing themselves for life after Adams by preparing Pat McQuistan, who they drafted in the seventh round of 2006. The team also has confidence in Doug Free and James Marten. Of the three, Free is the leading candidate to replace Adams because of his athleticism. Adams is expected to be one of the highly sought free agents, if in fact he is that, as qualified left tackles are a coddled commodity in the NFL.
