David Patten, WR, New Orleans SaintsMonday 3/3, 3:55 PM CT
The Times-Picayune reports that the Saints are close to re-signing receiver David Patten. Terms of the deal are not yet known. Injuries to and drops by, Devery Henderson, and the lack of progress by rookie wide out Robert Meachem, allowed Patten and Lance Moore to work out of the slot for quarterback Drew Brees in 2007. Patten actually emerged as the team's No. 2 behind second-year stalwart Marques Colston. Patten recorded 54 receptions for 792 yards and three touchdowns. The Saints now have their entire receiving corps back together after re-signing Patten, Devery Henderson and Terrance Copper over the past week. Larry Fitzgerald, WR, Arizona CardinalsMonday 3/3, 3:13 PM CT

The Houston Texans are interested in bringing in veteran running back Warrick Dunn for a visit, according to the Houston Chronicle. Dunn played for Alex Gibbs, the Texans' assistant head coach who is installing the same zone-blocking system he used in Denver and Atlanta. Dunn, 33, is one of the true class acts in the NFL, but the organization didn’t have much luck bringing in an aging veteran back (Ahman Green) last year. The Texans, Cowboys, Buccaneers and Broncos appear to be interested in Dunn.

Dan Morgan is visiting the Detroit Lions today, according to a report on NFL.com. Morgan was released earlier in the season by Carolina, and has already had a visit with New Orleans, who opted to trade for Jonathan Vilma. Yeremiah Bell, S, Miami DolphinsMonday 3/3, 12:55 PM CT
The Miami Dolphins have signed safety Yeremiah Bell to a one-year, $1.4 million contract, according to Pro Football Talk. Bryant Johnson is currently in Buffalo, but has a visit scheduled with the Washington Redskins, according to BuffaloBills.com. Johnson is definitely interested in the Bills as a potential employer given the fact the organization has a wide open wide receiver slot available on the other side of Lee Evans. He’s also familiar with the Bills’ wide receivers coach, Tyke Tolbert, who filled the same position in Arizona during Johnson’s rookie campaign. If Buffalo wants Johnson, they might not want to let him get out of town without a contract, as Washington has a bad habit of overpaying players on the open market.
Randy Moss, WR, New England PatriotsMonday 3/3, 12:14 PM CT
According to a report on Pro Football Talk, wide receiver Randy Moss and the New England Patriots have agreed to terms, which would keep him united with quarterback Tom Brady. Enough with this foolishness already, sign him. New England has taken some serious blows to their secondary in free agency with the losses of Asante Samuel and Randall Gay. The linebacker corps is also a concern on the inside, so the Patriots are going to need to score some serious points on offense next year. Pioli should ante up and get the deal done.
Antonio Bryant, WR, Tampa Bay BuccaneersMonday 3/3, 12:05 PM CT
There have been rumblings that San Francisco might consider bringing back WR Antonio Bryant, according to Pro Football Weekly. The report states that Bryant would have to show he can mentally handle being in the league again, along with mending fences with quarterback Alex Smith, who he didn’t get along with. Head coach Ken Whisenhunt is impressed by the by the resilience of 2007 first-round draft pick Levi Brown, who had his share of ups and downs as the team’s starting right tackle this past season, according to Pro Football Weekly. “The biggest thing I noticed with Levi is he continued to improve,” Whisenhunt told PFW at the NFL Scouting Combine. “He had a tough game against Seattle late in the season when he gave up a couple of sacks to a pretty good player (Patrick Kerney), and a lot of times when that happens with a young player, they will be shell-shocked and not play with confidence the next week. It actually went the other way with Levi. He stood up and played maybe his best two games after that. I know he’s committed. He’s already been in our complex.” This is good news for Arizona, as the coaching staff wants to feature a power running game in 2008. Look for the Cardinals to draft a back on the first day to team with Edgerrin James next season.
Deuce McAllister, RB, New Orleans SaintsMonday 3/3, 11:44 AM CT

Hackett, who caught 32 passes for 384 yards and three touchdowns for Seattle in 2007, has missed 15 games during the past three seasons due to various injuries. However, when healthy, Hackett has flashed some nice skills, and would provide Vince Young with another veteran presence in the passing game.
Chris Hope, S, Tennessee TitansMonday 3/3, 11:12 AM CT
Head coach Jeff Fisher indicated that strong safety Chris Hope (neck) is lifting weights at the team facility and is expected to be back practicing with the club no later than the second set of organized team activities, according to a report on Pro Football Weekly. Jason Elam, K, Atlanta FalconsMonday 3/3, 11:04 AM CT
Jason Elam is seeking a deal worth $3 million per season, which would place him among the highest paid kickers in the league, according to Pro Football Weekly. Julius Jones, RB, Seattle SeahawksMonday 3/3, 9:14 AM CT

With running back Michael Turner off the open market, running back needy teams will start focusing on Jones, who has been involved in a timeshare with Marion Barber the past few seasons.
