Jaroslav Spacek returned from his shoulder injury on Thursday, as expected. However, the joint was bothering him the next morning, according to the Buffalo News. "It was too tender," coach Lindy Ruff said. "Hopefully it’s a short-term [injury] but we thought it was going to be short the last time too." It looks like we'll just have to wait to see whether the injury will keep Spacek from their next game.

Martin Havlat, RW, Chicago BlackhawksSaturday 11/3, 10:34 AM CT
Martin Havlat has begun practicing with the Blackhawks, though he hasn't taken any contact yet. GM Dale Tallon said that Havlat could return to action sometime next week, according to the Chicago Tribune. He'll need to take some hits in practice before he's ready to test his ailing shoulder in a game. For now, Havlat is avoiding surgery on the joint, but he could go down for the season at any point.
