Bill Guerin left Saturday's game with an eye injury. He was injured in the first period but returned for two shifts in the second before exiting, according to the AP.
Daymond Langkow, C, Calgary FlamesSaturday 11/10, 10:38 AM CT
Daymond Langkow sustained a concussion when he was hit by Matt Cooke during Thursday's game. "He has a concussion and suffering the symptoms of a concussion," said Flames head coach Mike Keenan, according to the Calgary Herald. "I have no idea at this point how long that's going to take to resolve itself." It's a tough blow for the Flames, as Langkow has 17 points in 16 games thus far, and Owen Nolan and Rhett Warrener also are dinged up.
Pavol Demitra, LW, Vancouver CanucksSaturday 11/10, 10:34 AM CT
Pavol Demitra is not expected to play during the Wild's upcoming four-game road trip. "No Demo on the trip," coach Jacques Lemaire told the Minneapolis Star-Tribune. Demitra tallied 10 points in 10 games before being felled by his groin injury, but it's going to be a while before we see him in another game.
Marian Gaborik, RW, Minnesota WildSaturday 11/10, 10:30 AM CT
Marian Gaborik is expected to travel with the Wild to Colorado on Saturday. He hopes to practice in the afternoon and might be able to play on Sunday, according to the Minneapolis Star-Tribune. He's nursing a sore groin, so we'll have to take things one day at a time with the oft-injured forward.
Raitis Ivanans, LW, Los Angeles KingsSaturday 11/10, 10:24 AM CT
Raitis Ivanans skated Friday and is slated to be examined by a doctor on Saturday, according to the LA Times. He's been out since taking a slapshot to his face Nov. 2. If all goes well, the tough-guy could return to action next week.
Kyle Calder, LW, Los Angeles KingsSaturday 11/10, 10:19 AM CT
Kyle Calder was able to skate on Friday. However, he isn't likely to return to action until later this month, according to the LA Times. Since he's recovering from a fractured thumb, skating doesn't mean much to his recovery. Gripping his stick and practicing will be a more definitive sign of an imminent return.
Mattias Norstrom, D, Dallas StarsSaturday 11/10, 10:14 AM CT
Mattias Norstrom may have sustained a fractured orbital bone when he took a high-stick to the face during Wednesday's game, according to the Dallas Morning News. If he needs surgery to repair the damage, he'd likely miss several weeks.
