The NHL has suspended Mattias Ohlund four games for his stick-swinging hit on Minnesota forward Mikko Koivu Friday. Martin Straka, RW, New York RangersSunday 11/18, 7:34 AM CT
Martin Straka has been skating and might be about to take another step forward as he works his way back from a broken finger. Straka is slated to have an MRI on the damaged digit on Monday, according to the New York Daily News. With any luck, the results will clear him to take some slap shots and get back in game action later next week.
Patrice Bergeron, C, Boston BruinsSunday 11/18, 7:25 AM CT
It sounds like Patrice Bergeron is nowhere near being ready to return from his Grade III concussion. "He was better the other day, but he was coming off two bad days," Bruins GM Peter Chiarelli told the Boston Herald. "On his good days, he’ll go for a walk for five minutes with his mom. On his bad days, no, he can’t even do that. We’re three weeks in, and he’s barely able to go for a five-minute walk." Considering that he'll have to go without conussion symptoms for several days before he can even get into practice, Bergeron clearly will not be playing in games any time in the near future.

Andrew Ference just returned from what was called an "upper-core" injury, but now a sprained knee could keep him out of action for a month, according to the Boston Herald. Ference hasn't offered much to fantasy owners in 13 games this season (three assists, no goals), but now he'll offer even less.

Chris Chelios, D, Detroit Red WingsSunday 11/18, 6:54 AM CT
Chris Chelios was given a routine day off Saturday, the AP reports. Given that he's 45, it makes sense for Detroit to rest him now and again.
