Jere Lehtinen, RW, Dallas StarsMonday 12/3, 10:01 PM CT
Stars forward Jere Lehtinen will miss a possible 8 to 10 weeks after recovering from surgery on an abdominal strain. The Stars activated defenseman Mattias Norstrom and placed Lehtinen on injured reserve.
Riley Cote, LW, Philadelphia FlyersMonday 12/3, 9:41 PM CT
The NHL suspended Flyers forward Riley Cote for three games after using his elbow to strike Stars forward Mat Niskanen into the boards.
Dominik Hasek, G, Detroit Red WingsMonday 12/3, 11:10 AM CT
Dominik Hasek has struggled to a 5-5-1 record and a .864 save percentage. He'll try to step things up when he makes his first start in 12 days Monday night, according to the Detroit Free Press. Hasek was slowed by an injury early on, then by Chris Osgood's unexpectedly hot play, but it would be surprising if he doesn't get going sooner or later.
Joe Sakic, C, Colorado AvalancheMonday 12/3, 10:54 AM CT
Since the Avs didn't practice on Sunday, there was no update available on the status of Joe Sakic for the upcoming week, according to the Denver Post. Sakic's streak of consecutive games played ended at 232 when he missed Saturday's game due to a sore groin. We'll have to wait to see if he begins a new streak on Monday, though.
Carey Price, G, Montreal CanadiensMonday 12/3, 10:45 AM CT
Carey Price is dealing with an undisclosed injury. It's a big enough concern that the Habs are considering recalling Jaroslav Halak from the minors in case Price isn't able to back up starter Cristobal Huet on Tuesday, according to the Montreal Gazette. Unless Huet goes down with an injury at some point, his backup should have little relevance.
Mattias Norstrom, D, Dallas StarsMonday 12/3, 10:41 AM CT
Mattias Norstrom is nearing a return from his fractured orbital bone. He's expected to receive medical clearance on Monday, though it's not clear if the Stars will dress him for the evening game, according to the Dallas Morning News. Norstrom doesn't offer much in the way of fantasy value whether he's on or off the ice.
