Ladislav Nagy, RW, Monday 12/17, 10:29 AM CT
Ladislav Nagy skated Sunday for the first time since injuring his hip flexor on Dec. 6. "Tough to say when I may be back. When I pushed a little harder, it still bothers me," Nagy said, according to the LA Times. Keep him benched for now, but it sounds like he could be back sometime soon.
Jason LaBarbera, G, Los Angeles KingsMonday 12/17, 10:26 AM CT
Barring an unexpected turn of events, Jason LaBarbera is expected to return to action on Monday. "It's interesting," LaBarbera told the LA Times. "On the ice, it's not too bad when I get warmed up, I don't feel it as much. Off the ice, it's miserable. Once you get into the adrenaline of a game, you don't think about it too much. There's a few times in practice, a straight-on shot, you kind of feel it." He'll have to avoid aggravating his rib injury, but he appears safe to put in your lineups tonight.
Mike Van Ryn, D, Toronto Maple LeafsMonday 12/17, 10:21 AM CT
Mike Van Ryn hasn't been able to overcome his wrist injury. As a result, he'll undergo surgery sometime in the near future, according to the Miami Herald. A timetable for his return hasn't been announced, but it's possible that he won't play again this season.
Ville Peltonen, LW, Florida PanthersMonday 12/17, 10:17 AM CT
Ville Peltonen injured his foot Dec. 5 and aggravated it during Saturday's game. He's been diagnosed with a fracture and will miss at least the next month, according to the Miami Herald. Peltonen's 12 points and 14 PIM made him valuable only in the deepest of leagues, so this won't have much fantasy impact.
David Vyborny, RW, Columbus Blue JacketsMonday 12/17, 10:12 AM CT
David Vyborny was able to skate Sunday for the first time since injuring his hip Dec. 1. He might be able to practice later this week, according to the Columbus Dispatch. If all goes well, we may see him back in game action next week.
Michael Peca, C, Columbus Blue JacketsMonday 12/17, 10:08 AM CT
Michael Peca was held out of Sunday's practice to rest a strained pectoral muscle, according to the Columbus Dispatch. He's listed as questionable for Tuesday's game.
Rick Nash, LW, Columbus Blue JacketsMonday 12/17, 10:06 AM CT
Rick Nash hasn't played well of late and blames it on being banged up, beginning with a hard check sustained on Dec. 5. "My hamstring was sore, my groin, my lower back … really it was my whole left side," Nash told the Columbus Dispatch. "They were playable injuries, but … It started when I got cross-checked against Colorado (on Dec. 5). It hurt my back, and it seemed like I was compensating everything to adjust to the injury. That's when everything else started hurting. It just sort of made its way down." He's not expected to miss any games, so keep him in your lineup and look for his breakout season to get back on track soon.
