Joffrey Lupul is expected to miss at least two weeks because of a spinal cord contusion and mild concussion. Lupul was injured when he collided with teammate Darien Hatcher in Philadelphia's 3-2 win over Toronto Saturday. "Right now we have to give Joffrey some complete time off," GM Paul Holmgren said in the AP. "He's going to take a couple weeks off from doing pretty much everything and then we'll evaluate him at that point two weeks from now."

Results of a CT scan and bone scan taken last week will be looked over to see if a better treatment plan can be hatched. The injury has limited Modin to just six games this season.

Mark Bell has a broken left orbital bone. The injury is expected to require surgery and sideline him indefinitely, according to the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette. Bell sustained the injury while fighting Ryan Malone during Thursday's game. Bell's not a scorer, but he's racked up 50 PIM in 26 games this season.
