Jozef Stumpel, C, Florida PanthersSunday 1/13, 9:58 AM CT
Jozef Stumpel sustained a shoulder injury during Saturday's game. It's expected to sideline him for at least 7-10 days, according to the Miami Herald. Stumpy's not producing like he once did. In fact, with just six goals, 18 points and a minus-10 rating, he's probably not on many fantasy rosters right now.
Matt Cullen, C, Carolina HurricanesSunday 1/13, 9:55 AM CT
Matt Cullen was on the ice for practice Saturday, as he tries again to work his way back from a concussion. "It's good. It's getting a lot better," Cullen told the Raleigh News & Observer. "It's turning into one of those things that's taking more time than I expected. It was a pretty tough hit to the head." Cullen attempted a brief return to game action at the end of last month, but had to call it off when the concussion symptoms returned. So don't expect him to play in games until he's 100 percent healthy, which may be a while.
Glen Wesley, D, Sunday 1/13, 9:52 AM CT
Glen Wesley was able to get back on the ice Saturday, but he was held out of the Hurricanes' evening game. "We're not going to play [Wesley] tonight," coach Peter Laviolette said, according to the Raleigh News & Observer. "He's been out of the lineup for six days, and this is his first day back to work. I don't know if it's a matter of where he can or couldn't play, it's just common sense to give him a few days. It's pretty bad, what they've all been through." Wesley and Wade Brookbank have been battling an illness and should get back into game action soon.
Sergei Fedorov, C, Washington CapitalsSunday 1/13, 9:47 AM CT
Sergei Fedorov was limited during the third period of Friday's game due to a hip pointer. The injury kept him from suiting up for Saturday's game, according to the Columbus Dispatch. It's the first game he's missed this season. It's not clear if the injury will force him to miss any other games.

John Madden, C, New Jersey DevilsSunday 1/13, 9:29 AM CT
John Madden was cut by a skate just above his right ankle late in Saturday's game. "Right now the prognosis is good," Madden said, according to the Newark Star-Ledger. "I don't think it got any major tendons. That was my main concern. We'll see when I get an MRI tomorrow." Obviously, if the MRI reveals anything serious, Madden could be out for an extended stretch.
Sergei Zubov, D, Dallas StarsSunday 1/13, 9:22 AM CT
Sergei Zubov tested his bruised foot out during Saturday's pregame skate, but he opted to sit out of the evening tilt. "He was better today," coach Dave Tippett said. "He had an X-ray, and there's no break. A couple of days off will be real good for him. I would be real surprised if he's not ready to go on Tuesday." Zubov also is dealing with a hand injury, but it doesn't sound like either malady is serious. Hopefully, the added rest this weekend will allow him to be on the ice for Tuesday's contest.
P.J. Axelsson, LW, Boston BruinsSunday 1/13, 9:16 AM CT
P.J. Axelsson was held out of Saturday's game due to a bruised foot. He was wearing a walking boot and will have a CT scan taken on Monday, according to the Boston Globe. If any fractures are found, he'll miss at least a couple of weeks, so stay tuned for updates.

A weekend report from TSN.ca said that Curtis Joseph is considering a return to the NHL, and that the Sharks, Flames, Maple Leafs and Rangers were teams he was considering. However, it doesn't appear he will be joining the Sharks. They had talks with CuJo when they placed Dimitri Patzold on waivers last week in order to send him to the minors, but since he cleared waivers, they are no longer interested in Joseph, according to the Contra Costa Times. If you're desperate for netminding, it may not be a bad call to pick CuJo up now in case he returns to a good situation.
