Randy Robitaille, C, Ottawa SenatorsMonday 1/14, 10:51 AM CT
Randy Robitaille filled in for Dany Heatley on the top line on Sunday, according to the CP. He started the game alongside Daniel Alfredsson and Jason Spezza.
Sean Hill, D, Monday 1/14, 10:47 AM CT
Sean Hill did not play in the 4-1 win over the Coyotes on Sunday. The AP reports that he was nursing a sprained ankle, which he suffered on Friday.
Milan Hejduk, RW, Colorado AvalancheMonday 1/14, 10:43 AM CT
Milan Hejduk logged an assist and scored the game-winning shootout goal in Sunday’s 4-3 win over the Panthers.
Jason Spezza, C, Ottawa SenatorsMonday 1/14, 9:51 AM CT
Jason Spezza was unable to complete Sunday's game after taking a big hit. Coach John Paddock said he pulled Spezza from the game because he "just wasn't feeling right," according to the Ottawa Citizen. If he sustained a concussion, he'll miss some game action. We'll have to wait to hear how he's feeling Monday, though, before a timetable for his return will be set. The Sens already lost Dany Heatley for at least a month, so losing Spezza would be brutal.
Chris Clark, RW, Washington CapitalsMonday 1/14, 9:40 AM CT
Chris Clark was able to return to action on Sunday. However, he aggravated the groin injury that had cost him the previous 18 games, according to the Washington Post. It seems likely that he'll miss some more games while getting back to full strength, but we should know more after he's examined further on Monday.
Cam Janssen, RW, St. Louis BluesMonday 1/14, 9:21 AM CT
Cam Janssen will have his surgically repaired shoulder examined by doctors early this week. If all goes as expected, he should be cleared for practice, according to the Newark Star-Ledger. Janssen has yet to play this season due to the surgery, but it appears he might be ready for his season debut later this month.
John Madden, C, New Jersey DevilsMonday 1/14, 9:17 AM CT
It appears that John Madden avoided a serious injury when he was cut just above his ankle by a skate during Saturday's game. "I saw the doctors and the tests they did went well. They came to the conclusion that there is no damage to the tendons. No MRI was necessary," Madden said, according to the Newark Star-Ledger. "I'm hoping when I get up in the morning, everything will be okay. It's wait-and-see right now." Doctors will keep an eye on the gash to make sure it doesn't get infected, but it appears he could play on Wednesday.
Philippe Boucher, D, Dallas StarsMonday 1/14, 9:02 AM CT
Philippe Boucher is not expected to return until at least the end of February. "You want to be up and running for the biggest part of the season, so that's been a real incentive for me," he said, according to the Dallas Morning News. "That's something I'm thinking about in every workout." Initially, he was expected to miss just a month due to his Dec. 5 shoulder surgery, but obviously his recovery period has been extended considerably.
Jussi Jokinen, LW, Tampa Bay LightningMonday 1/14, 8:57 AM CT
Jussi Jokinen is aiming to return to action later this month, around the All-Star break. "It's hard," he told the Dallas Morning News. "I felt like I was just getting my game together and the minutes were up and the points were coming. So I need to get back to that." Jokinen, who scored 11 goals in his first 38 games, is recovering from a sprained knee.
Jere Lehtinen, RW, Dallas StarsMonday 1/14, 8:54 AM CT
Jere Lehtinen continues to work his way back from hernia surgery. He's aiming to return to game action around the All-Star break later this month, according to the Dallas Morning News. Lehtinen was playing at a point-per-game pace before the injury. Once he gets his game legs going, he could be in store for a big second half.
Ray Whitney, LW, Carolina HurricanesMonday 1/14, 8:49 AM CT
Ray Whitney should return to action on Tuesday, according to the Raleigh News & Observer. He, like several of his teammates, have been battling a virus, but it appears safe to keep him in your weekly lineup.
Glen Wesley, D, Monday 1/14, 8:45 AM CT
The Hurricanes removed Glen Wesley from injured reserve on Sunday. He's been out while recovering from an illness that's swept through the Hurricanes' locker room, but he should be back in action for Tuesday's tilt.
Darcy Hordichuk, LW, Vancouver CanucksMonday 1/14, 8:35 AM CT
Darcy Hordichuk sustained a lower-leg injury during Sunday's game. Preds coach Barry Trotz said that Hordichuk is "very doubtful" to face Calgary or Anaheim this week, according to the Tennessean. Hordichuck has a single point on the season, so this won't affect fantasy circles much.
