| It appears that John Madden avoided a serious injury when he was cut just above his ankle by a skate during Saturday's game. "I saw the doctors and the tests they did went well. They came to the conclusion that there is no damage to the tendons. No MRI was necessary," Madden said, according to the Newark Star-Ledger. "I'm hoping when I get up in the morning, everything will be okay. It's wait-and-see right now." Doctors will keep an eye on the gash to make sure it doesn't get infected, but it appears he could play on Wednesday. |

"You want to be up and running for the biggest part of the season, so that's been a real incentive for me," he said, according to the Dallas Morning News. "That's something I'm thinking about in every workout."
