Curtis Joseph, G, Toronto Maple LeafsMonday 2/4, 11:07 PM CT
Curtis Joseph made his first start of the season for the Flames but it wasn't the start that he or the team hoped for as he stopped only 23 of 28 shots in the team's humiliating 5-0 defeat at the hands of the hated Oilers. About the only positive for Calgary was the 27 PIM that Eric Godard put up in a wild scene about half way through the third period. The team needs to find a capable backup to Miikka Kipprusoff to avoid burning out the Finnish keeper if they hope to go deep into the playoffs.
Mathieu Garon, G, Edmonton OilersMonday 2/4, 11:03 PM CT
Mathieu Garon stopped all 24 shots he faced to earn his fourth shutout of the season on the day that the Oilers learned that they would be without leading scorer Shawn Horcoff for the rest of the season. Obviously the Oilers won in the Battle of Alberta as they defeated the Flames 5-0.

Ty Conklin, G, Detroit Red WingsMonday 2/4, 10:57 PM CT
Ty Conklin looked strong at the start of the game but he faltered late as the Penguins lost in OT 4-3 to the Devils. The Devils scored two goals in less than two minutes in the third period and then were able to score the game-winner in OT off the stick of Zach Parise as Conklin made only 21 saves on 25 shots.
Joffrey Lupul, W, Philadelphia FlyersMonday 2/4, 7:55 PM CT
Joffrey Lupul will be out for at least two more weeks, a result of his concussion. The Flyers believe that Lupul will be out until Feb. 14th, though that is still not certain. "The MRI was clear but the doctor wants to err on the side of caution," Lupul said. "I can't be too upset with that. In the long run, it's probably better to make sure I'm playing for this team in the playoffs and make sure it's something that doesn't bother me for the rest of my career."
Mike Sillinger, C, New York IslandersMonday 2/4, 7:45 PM CT
Mike Sillinger will miss upwards of three weeks due to an injured hip, the Isles announced on Monday. "You have to give Sillinger credit," Islanders coach Ted Nolan said. Sabres goaltender Ryan Miller got through practice on Monday with no problems, and he's expected to be in goal for the Sabres tomorrow night in Boston despite the knee injury that knocked him out of Friday night's game, according to the Buffalo News. This is good news for the Sabres and Miller's fantasy owners since the flashy goaltender is coming off a January in which he posted a 1.98 GAA.

Chris Phillips, D, Ottawa SenatorsMonday 2/4, 9:09 AM CT

He doesn't seem to know if he's OK. When he's ready, he'll make a decision." The Flyers are believed to have offered Forsberg, who is still suffering from an ailing right foot, a two-year contract worth about $2.6 million. A number of clubs, including Ottawa, Detroit and Dallas - which has made a heavy pitch - are believed to have offered far more money.
