Bell had surgery in January to repair a broken orbital bone, a fracture he suffered in dog-fight with Pittsburgh's Ryan Malone. Bell has little fantasy value when healthy. He has two goals and five assists in 26 games this year.

The Oilers recalled Marc-Antoine Pouliot from Springfield on Monday, according to TSN.ca. The recall was because Geoff Sanderson tweaked his back and is day-to-day in his recovery. Pouliot has a team-high 20 goals and 22 assists in 50 AHL games this season, but is scoreless in nine appearance with the parent club.

Ryan Smyth passed CT scans on his head, but he may have a serious shoulder injury. Sources informed the Denver Post that Smyth may have suffered a separated left shoulder. His season could be over. Smyth missed six weeks earlier in the season due to a fractured right ankle, and in between the two injuries, he did a decent job for fantasy teams. The Avs will miss him and may need to lean more heavily on Jaroslav Hllinka and Wojtek Wolski.
