For the second time this week, goalie Martin Martin Brodeur posted 40 saves (42 to be exact), working as the top keeper on the day with an amazing performance to lead the Devils to victory at Toronto, 2-1. The man is one of the best the game has known and continues to bring his team through in the tight situations. 42 saves is an outstanding performance for any other goalie on any other night. For Brodeur, it's just another day at the office.

Andrei Kostsitsyn scored his 21st goal of the season, helping Montreal to an impressive 4-2 win over Los Angeles. Kostsitsyn now has 43 points on the season, including 23 assists, with three goals in his last five games.

Jaroslav Halak made 35 saves in his first start of the season to lead the Canadiens to a 5-2 win over Los Angeles on Saturday. Halak made his first NHL start since April 5, 2007, when he was pulled after two periods in a 3-1 loss to the New York Rangers. He served as the backup the previous 22 games.

Paul Stastny netted his 21st goal of the season, slapping an empty netter to seal the 3-1 win for the Avs over Dallas today. Stastny also added an assist on a goal by Andrew Brunette. That's seven points over the last six games for Stastny.

Zdeno Chara and Marco Sturm scored 5-on-3 goals three minutes apart late in the third period as the Bruins took advantage of Washington's failures to win 2-1 over the Capitals at TD Banknorth Garden, according to the Sports Network. It was Chara's 16th goal of the season, tying a career high.

X-rays revealed that Philippe Boucher has a slight separation of his right shoulder and will miss the next three weeks, according to the Dallas Morning News. "The day it happened, it was really frustrating – the 'Why me?' and everything," Boucher said. "But I'm better now. It's just another bump in the road. I know the routine, I know what it takes and I'm ready to do what it takes. I want to feel I've accomplished something this year, and there's no better time to do that than the postseason." Most of the season has been a bump for Boucher, who has been limted to just 32 games due to surgery on his other shoulder. He could be back for the end of the regular season.

Joffrey Lupul is not ready to get back into game action, according to the Philadelphia Inquirer. "I can't really put a time line on it because I've never really had an injury like this," he said. "It doesn't seem to be healing quickly and that's what they told me to be prepared for. That's the type of injury it is." That's how it is with high-ankle sprains. He's been skating in practice, at least, but you'll need to keep him benched for now.

Derian Hatcher is expected to return to action on Saturday, according to the Philadelphia Inquirer. He's been out for a few weeks with fluid and pain in his right knee, but he's ready to hit the ice tonight.

Jochen Hecht got through a practice Friday and plans to return to game action on Saturday night, according to the Buffalo News. "I was going full speed and I didn’t feel anything, so I’m ready to go," Hecht said. A groin injury has kept Hecht out for seven games, but it appears safe to get him back into your lineups tonight.

Todd White's lacerated elbow has healed, but he aggravated his shoulder injury in practice this week and was unable to play on Friday, according to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. "The biggest thing is getting to a point where it won't get worse," White said. "I've got to get it back now to where I can get hit in a game." He may not get back in game action until next week.

Colin White was forced out of Friday's game with upper-body soreness after taking a hard check into the boards, according to the Star-Ledger. It's not clear if he'll be able to play Saturday, but he doesn't hold any real fantasy value, anyway.
