Kurtis Foster, D, Minnesota WildWednesday 3/19, 11:32 PM CT
Kurtis Foster left the ice on a stretcher as he ran into the boards face first in a collision with San Jose's Torrey Mitchell, according to NHL.com. Foster remained on the ice for about 12 minutes while medical personnel put a splint on Foster's leg and strapped him to a backboard. Foster was moving his head and talking to paramedics when they raised him from the ice.
Teemu Selanne, RW, Anaheim DucksWednesday 3/19, 11:32 PM CT
The Anaheim Ducks put the Dallas Stars to bed by a score of 2-1 this evening, and Teemu Selanne helped the Ducks put both of those goals in net. Selanne is in the twilight of his career, but he is still a talented man with the stick and excels at making goals easy for others.
Robert Lang, C, Montreal CanadiensWednesday 3/19, 11:26 PM CT
Robert Lang had two assists, bringing him to 32 assists on the season and 52 total points thus far. Lang is one of very few veterans on this Chicago squad and has failed to work as a consistent source of optimism.
Jason Williams, RW, Atlanta ThrashersWednesday 3/19, 11:25 PM CT
Jason Williams scored a goal and an assist in Chicago’s 5-0 route of the Washington Capitals this evening. Williams is not a consistent source of offense for Chicago, and while today’s game is a note worthy of mention, it does not push Williams into the majority of fantasy leagues out there today.
Jochen Hecht, C, Buffalo SabresWednesday 3/19, 11:17 PM CT
Jochen Hecht scored a shorthanded goal into an empty net and added two assists in Buffalo’s exhilarating 7-4, come-from-behind win against Tampa Bay. Hecht is one of the guiding veterans on the Buffalo squad, a unit rising through the ranks hoping to make noise in the upcoming playoffs. He has just 46 points on the year, but has also netted three goals and three assists in his last two games. There is no better time to find a hot hand, and Hecht is one of several for the Sabres right now.
Brenden Morrow, LW, Dallas StarsWednesday 3/19, 10:38 PM CT
Brenden Morrow scored the lone goal for Dallas in their 2-1 loss to Anaheim. The goal was assisted by goalie Marty Turco. Morrow has 66 points for the season.
Olaf Kolzig, G, Tampa Bay LightningWednesday 3/19, 10:34 PM CT
Olaf Kolzig stopped 37-of-42 shots in the Capitals' 5-0 loss to the Blackhawks. That loss snapped a three-game winning streak for him.
Derek Roy, C, Buffalo SabresWednesday 3/19, 10:17 PM CT
Derek Roy put three pucks on the right sticks in the Sabres’ 7-4, come-from-behind victory over the Tampa Bay Lightening, touting three assists, all to LW Thomas Vanek, all in the third period. Roy is another talented young skater making a rise for the Sabres, a group that has led a wonderfully entertaining resurgence this season and is looking forward to becoming a force of reckoning moving forward. Roy will be a big part of that effort and tonight’s performance shows why.
Thomas Vanek, LW, Buffalo SabresWednesday 3/19, 10:13 PM CT
Young winger Thomas Vanek posted goals 29, 30, and 31 on the season by netting a hat trick, all scores coming back-to-back-to-back during a flurry in the third period, helping the Sabres complete a tremendous come-from-behind victory over the Tampa Bay Lightening, 7-4. Vanek is just starting to come into his own as a NHL weapon, but 56 points in just his second season in the league is nothing to take lightly. Tonight is another step in that process.
Jason Pominville, RW, Buffalo SabresWednesday 3/19, 10:04 PM CT
Jason Pominville netted two goals and two assists, including two in a wild third period that saw Buffalo score six goals, to push the Sabres to an exciting 7-4 win over the Tampa Bay Lightning. Pominville now has 74 points on the year and has been a consistent force of scoring and pass support for a team battling to stay in a tight Northeast Division playoff race. The kid has three goals and six assists in his last three games, getting it done in the most crucial time of year for Buffalo.
Pascal Leclaire, G, Columbus Blue JacketsWednesday 3/19, 9:57 PM CT
Pascal Leclaire missed Wednesday's game against Detroit, according to NHL.com. He is still being bothered by his head injury and his return to the ice is unclear.
Martin Brodeur, G, New Jersey DevilsWednesday 3/19, 9:57 PM CT
Every loss is tough to take, but for Martin Brodeur, nothing hurts more than posting a 95.238% save rate only to fall by one goal. That is what happened this evening in the Devils’ 1-2 loss to the New York Rangers as Brodeur stopped 20 of 21 shots on goal. His team let him down (again) and the future Hall-of-Fame keeper walks away with nice numbers but a loss and a bad taste in his mouth.
Manny Malhotra, C, Columbus Blue JacketsWednesday 3/19, 9:54 PM CT
Manny Malhotra scored the lone goal for the Blue Jackets in their 3-1 loss to Detroit. He has now scored a goal in three straight games, with five coming over that span.
Cam Ward, G, Carolina HurricanesWednesday 3/19, 9:51 PM CT
Cam Ward enjoyed another strong performance for the Carolina Hurricans, helping his team to a 5-3 win over the Atlanta Thrashers. Ward posted a save percentage of 91.176% this evening, turning 31 of 34 total shots aside. Ward has been a bit up and down this season, so this game offers a hopeful sign of better (and more consistent) days ahead. Ward is still very young (24) and the former 1st-round draft pick has plenty of room to grow and become the top keeper we know he can be.
Slava Kozlov, LW, Atlanta ThrashersWednesday 3/19, 9:49 PM CT
Slava Kozlov scored a goal and an assist in a losing effort against the Hurricane (5-3). That was his fourth multi-point game of the season.

Dainius Zubrus scored the lone goal for the Devils in their 2-1 loss to the Rangers. He has now scored a goal in three straight games.
Eric Staal, C, Carolina HurricanesWednesday 3/19, 9:42 PM CT
Eric Staal scored a goal, his 35th of the year, in Carolina’s 5-3 win over the Atlanta Thrashers. Staal is on an absolute roll this month, posting five goals and 11 assists since March 1 (eight games). He now has 74 points on the year and is proving why the Canes made him the 2nd overall pick of the 2003 NHL draft.
Vincent Lecavalier, C, Tampa Bay LightningWednesday 3/19, 9:40 PM CT
Vincent Lecavalier scored two goals and an assist in a losing effort against Buffalo (7-4). He has scored 88 points in 73 games this season.
Henrik Zetterberg, LW, Detroit Red WingsWednesday 3/19, 9:36 PM CT
Henrik Zetterberg netted three goals, all in the third period, to help the Red Wings emerge victorious over the Columbus Blue Jackets, 3-1. This is the third hat trick of Zetterberg’s career and works to get him to 83 points on the season, two points off his career high (and he’s only 27-years of age, so he has plenty of game left in him and seems to be well in his way towards a wonderful career).
Derek Meech, D, Detroit Red WingsWednesday 3/19, 6:22 PM CT
Derek Meech will go from playing defense to forward Wednesday against the Columbus Blue Jackets, according to the Detroit News. Meech, who played offense as 16-year-old in junior hockey, will be asked to assume that role once more due to injuries. Red Wings coach Mike Babcock wouldn't reveal who is unable to play, but hinted more than one forward is banged up. "We'll know more about it tonight," Babcock said. "We have some players who obviously aren't 100 percent. If they can play without hurting themselves, or putting themselves in a bad spot, we'll see after the warmup who is going."
Zdeno Chara, D, Boston BruinsWednesday 3/19, 2:10 PM CT
Zdeno Chara returned to full practice on Wednesday, his first such activity since suffering an upper-body injury on March 8, the Boston Globe reports. We suspect that Chara could play on Thursday, but we'll have to wait for an update.

Fredrik Modin, LW, Columbus Blue JacketsWednesday 3/19, 12:52 PM CT
Fredrik Modin is expected to sit again on Wednesday due to the flu, the Columbus Dispatch reports.
Tomas Holmstrom, RW, Detroit Red WingsWednesday 3/19, 12:48 PM CT
Tomas Holmstrom is not expected to return anytime this week, coach Mike Babcock tells the Detroit Free Press. He hasn't played since March 5 due to a sore groin.
Nathan Paetsch, D, Buffalo SabresWednesday 3/19, 12:46 PM CT
Nathan Paetsch remains off the ice due to a concussion, and he isn't very close to returning, the Buffalo News reports. Fantasy owners should cross him off their lists for the rest of this season.
Kris Draper, C, Detroit Red WingsWednesday 3/19, 12:44 PM CT
Kris Draper will test his groin in practice on Wednesday and could be back in the lineup on Thursday, the Detroit Free Press reports. He has been out since March 11.

Tim Connolly (hip) did not practice on Tuesday and won't play on Wednesday, the Buffalo News reports.
Curtis Brown, C, San Jose SharksWednesday 3/19, 12:37 PM CT
Curtis Brown was taken off the injured reserve list on Tuesday, but he did not play against the Kings. He had missed 25 games due to a dislocated thumb. It's not known if he'll play on Wednesday against the Wild.
Sergei Zubov, D, Dallas StarsWednesday 3/19, 12:23 PM CT
Sergei Zubov will visit a doctor on Wednesday and hopes to be cleared to begin skating, the Dallas Morning News reports. The veteran defenseman hopes to return by the end of March.
Colin White, D, New Jersey DevilsWednesday 3/19, 12:18 PM CT
Colin White will return to the ice on Wednesday night after missing the previous four games due to upper body soreness, the Newark Star-Ledger reports. He has no fantasy value.
Dennis Seidenberg, D, Carolina HurricanesWednesday 3/19, 12:17 PM CT
Dennis Seidenberg may not be available in Atlanta on Wednesday night, as he stayed behind in order to be with his pregnant girlfriend, the Raleigh News and Observer reports. He is expected to join the team on either Wednesday night or Thursday.
Patrik Elias, LW, New Jersey DevilsWednesday 3/19, 12:13 PM CT
Patrik Elias will not play on Wednesday night due to a badly bruised left kneecap and the flu, the Newark Star-Ledger reports.
Marek Malik, D, Tampa Bay LightningWednesday 3/19, 12:10 PM CT
Marek Malik was back in the lineup on Tuesday night. He missed three straight games due to a sore shoulder.

Rick DiPietro, G, New York IslandersWednesday 3/19, 11:56 AM CT
Rick DiPietro will undergo right hip surgery on Wednesday and miss the remainder of the season. He is expected to be read for camp in September. "Rick wanted badly to be with his team until the end of the season, but this decision was made with his best long-term interests in mind," Islanders general manager Garth Snow tells the Sports Network. DiPietro had left hip surgery following the 2007 playoffs.
