Coach Lindy Ruff admits there are lingering concerns, but they are based more in his ability to play and not his health. "It's going to make us make a decision," Ruff said. "He's available to play. The thing I'm unsure [of] first of all, is the fact that he hasn't played all year. You can look good in practice, you could look good in one-on-one and two-on-two drills, but playing a game's a whole different story. We'll just go day-to-day with it." The Sabres are fighting to stay in the playoff picture, thus the decision to use Numminen is one wrought with worry. He hasn't played in so long, the team has to wonder if he is up to the challenge or would be best saved for a later date.
