Vincent Lecavalier, C, Tampa Bay LightningThursday 4/3, 11:43 PM CT
Not surprisingly, Vincent Lecavalier has been ruled out of Saturday's season finale after suffering a shoulder injury Thursday, according to the Canadian Press. Tampa Bay coach John Tortorella was not happy about the hit on his star. ''It's an absolute cheap shot,'' he said. ''We have stick fouls - stick foul after stick foul - and then I see that. It's a guy in a vulnerable position. It's an interference if the puck isn't anywhere near him, and that isn't called. It's an absolute cheap shot.'' Vinny ends the year with 92 points in 81 games.
Tomas Kopecky, RW, Detroit Red WingsThursday 4/3, 11:39 PM CT
Tomas Kopecky limped off the ice in the second period of Thursday's game after having his legs taken out from under him, according to the Canadian Press. He went to the hospital for tests. We'll update you on Kopecky's status, but you shouldn't be playing him, anyway.
Antoine Vermette, LW, Ottawa SenatorsThursday 4/3, 11:19 PM CT
Antoine Vermette recorded his first career hat trick while also adding an assist in Thursday's 8-2 romp over Toronto. The 25-year-old has had a solid fantasy season, recording over 50 points for the first time in his career.
Andrew Raycroft, G, Colorado AvalancheThursday 4/3, 11:15 PM CT
Andrew Raycroft will get the start for the Leafs in Saturday's season finale, according to the AP. Raycroft has had a brutal year, posting a .873 save percentage and 3.98 GAA. Needless to say, you need to avoid him in fantasy at all costs.
Cory Stillman, LW, Florida PanthersThursday 4/3, 11:13 PM CT
Cory Stillman returned for the Sens Thursday after missing a pair of games with a leg injury, according to the AP. Stillman played just 12 minutes but managed to record an assist.
Alexander Ovechkin, LW, Washington CapitalsThursday 4/3, 11:10 PM CT
Alexander Ovechkin scored his 64th and 65th goals Thursday, breaking the NHL record for left wingers that had previously been held by Luc Robitaille, according to the AP. Ovechkin also tied Peter Bondra's team record with his 22nd power-play goal. It would be a shame if we didn't get to watch Alex in the playoffs this year. The Caps are currently sitting in eighth place in the Eastern Conference.
Vincent Lecavalier, C, Tampa Bay LightningThursday 4/3, 10:55 PM CT
It was a shoulder injury that knocked Vincent Lecavalier out of Thursday's game, according to Sports Network. With only one game remaining on the Lightning's schedule, Vinny's season is almost surely over.
Vesa Toskala, G, Toronto Maple LeafsThursday 4/3, 9:52 PM CT
Hopefully those that own Vesa Toskala didn't have the goaltender in their lineup Thursday. The netminder allowed a whopping eight goals to Ottawa, stopping just 29 of 37 shots. Toskala has been pretty solid this year considering Toronto's deficiencies on defense, but every once in a while he'll put up a stinker like this.
Daniel Alfredsson, RW, Ottawa SenatorsThursday 4/3, 9:12 PM CT
Daniel Alfredsson left Thursday's game in the first period after taking a shot to the head from the Maple Leafs' Mark Bell, according to SportsTicker. The captain's return to the game is questionable. Alfredsson has been battling numerous ailments lately, but the Sens can't afford to be without him as they try to wrap up a playoff spot.
Brendan Shanahan, RW, New York RangersThursday 4/3, 9:07 PM CT
Brendan Shanahan sat out Thursday's game because of a leg strain, according to the AP. However, coach Tom Renney said he expects Shanahan to be back in the lineup Friday. Expect the Rangers to limit Shanny's ice time over the final two games to ensure that he'll be good to go come playoff time.
Vincent Lecavalier, C, Tampa Bay LightningThursday 4/3, 9:04 PM CT
Vincent Lecavalier left Thursday’s game in the third period with an undisclosed injury, according to SportsTicker. The center was checked into a teammate in the neutral zone and fell to the ice awkwardly, appearing to land on his left wrist. He was in obvious pain before heading to the locker room. Lecavlier will undergo X-rays and will almost surely sit out the Lightning's season finale on Saturday.

Jaroslav Spacek will return to the lineup against the Canadiens for the first time in 10 games, this according to the Buffalo News. Spacek, who has been out because of a chest injury, is ready to go, albeit with some limitations. "The shots, especially the one-timers and slap shots, that’s what bothers me the most,” Spacek said. “It’s a little bit sore, but I can play with it.” Spacek may have only 31 points on the year, but 21 of them have been with the man-advantage so he certainly deserves to be active on every team that he is currently taking a roster spot on.
Evgeni Nabokov, G, San Jose SharksThursday 4/3, 3:32 PM CT
Evgeni Nabokov will be on the bench for the Sharks on Thursday night when they take on the Kings, this according to the AP. “I wouldn’t play him just to tie Brodeur’s record,” head coach Ron Wilson said. “The plan now is for (backup Brian) Boucher to play in LA and (Nabokov) in Dallas. (The plan has) been in place for a while." Nabokov has to be at the top of playoff goalies this spring, perhaps the top goalie, but it's a smart move for the Sharks to give him a bit of a rest for what they hope will be a long playoff run.
Cristobal Huet, G, Chicago BlackhawksThursday 4/3, 3:27 PM CT
Cristobal Huet continues to do everything he can to help the Caps to make the playoffs as he has gone 9-2-0 with a 1.75 GAA and a .933 save percentage since joining the squad, this according to the Montreal Gazette. Carey Price has gone 10-3 for the Canadiens since the trade, so it appears that this is one of the rare moves that helped both clubs.
Dan Ellis, G, Nashville PredatorsThursday 4/3, 3:20 PM CT
Dan Ellis will make his 11th straight start in net for the Predators on Thursday, this according to the Tennessean. This is a huge game for Nashville in its push for the playoffs, and for Ellis personally as he allowed three goals on seven shots in his last outing. What made that last outing so surprising is that it came on the heels of being named the second star of the week in the NHL for the week ending Match 30th.
